@Walela617 Yes you can! Water, water, water, water, water, You'll be down three pounds by Wednesday.
Walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk. You'll feel so good!
I like to tell myself: You can do anything for a week.6 -
I’m coming in late but want to join this challenge. I’m off to Hawaii at the end of April so support to lose 10 lbs (or 12😊) by that time would be great.
About me: I’m 63 (64 next month) and have been dieting off and on for years. Like many, I have tried every weight loss program out there but calorie deficit and exercise has worked the best.
SW: 360 lbs (years ago)
CW: 212 lbs
GW: 180 lbs
I have lipedema which has proven challenging to losing additional weight but I am not giving up. I work out 4-5 days week (cardio/strength) plus eat in a deficit.
Thanks all!7 -
Went to Pilates. Did not do yoga this week. I've been using my kettlebell and 5 pound weights each day. I also try to stretch every evening to unwind. The scale is a stubborn one!

02/25-195.8-(Trend Weight: 195.6)- It’s been a very difficult month for me from start to finish. I’m keeping my meals pretty good but I’m still relying on snacks for comfort when the light outside fades and I’m alone with myself. I’m hoping that once I get through my best friend’s funeral on Saturday that things will turn around for the better. I’m hoping I can be more focused. I’ll be traveling tomorrow for groceries and general shopping. Dinner will be out but I will try to make smart choices. I will definitely bring home all healthy foods that fit within my plan. I think I will shop for less snacks as they are too tempting, even when low calorie or low carb. I need snacks that don’t taste sweet because that seems to just be a trigger for a sugar or substitute sugar binge. I need to STOP needing sweetness at night! I’m not a fruit eater, but even if I were I know the sweetness would trigger me right now. I need to go back to ½ to 1 oz of unsalted nuts or some cubed block cheese. Or perhaps some occasional skinnygirl popcorn. I did much better when I stuck to those.
02/28-197.8-(Trend Weight: 196.1)- I think this is the worst documented month I’ve had on MFP after many, many years. This month has been filled with depression, loss and confusion. Wow. This is stunningly slow. I have to remind myself three pounds last month is good. It doesn't seem like 3 pounds. I'll have to look at the above progress over and over again to remind myself that I'm doing well. I'm just feeling impatient.
Spring is coming. Today it was 60 degrees. I want to buy some new clothes. I think I should go shopping just to remind myself why I'm doing this. It would help me look forward and stay positive.
Have a great week everybody. One small step at a time, Keep moving!! It feels good. It feels good physically. And it feels pretty good emotionally. Thank you all for being here.
ETA This whole post sounds like a downer. I don't want to be that way. I'm happy we are all here doing what we can. Consistency and patience are virtues. They will be rewarded.5 -

Like others reporting in here, I have lost little to no weight in the past month. We need to cut ourselves some slack. February was so dark and cold and dreary, at least here in the Mid-Atlantic. We will all do better now that the temps are going up and we are getting more daylight. In fact, we move the clocks forward in only one more week! That always helps my mood. I plan on setting a very modest goal of 4 lbs for March.5 -

Hello everyone,
Dear Donna @deepwoodslady, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved best friend! I wish you strength and comfort over the next difficult days. May her memory be a Blessing. She will always live in your heart.
I really went overboard with both eating AND drinking over the past few days, but all that ends NOW!
I'm still optimistically hoping to at least get below my starting weight of 153 by the first day of Spring, and to hopefully reach a weight in the lower 140's by the end of this challenge.
Have a great Sunday!

Posting here for accountability. My March goal is to stop the roller coaster ride. I indulge a little on weekends and spend weekdays undoing the damage. It’s mostly carbs, but when I’m close to goal, even a wrap or a piece of cornbread adds pounds. So, I’m going to try harder and see what happens. And I mean “try” and not just say the three letter word. At 62 I know I should be strength training more so that is my goal this week. Aim for at least two days.

Thank you @RubyRed427 for continuing this challenge. Thanks to everyone for the useful advice I read on this thread. There's lots of things I need to look at and consider, thanks all. Although I only look at this page once a week, it is reassuring to know that others are in the same situation as me and we are all making progress!
My aims for this month are to: get back to being active, reduce my bread/pasta/rice/potato intake, try to get at least 7 hours sleep a night and to return to tracking my meals - to get into 130-ville!
My name is Nikki, and I'm 5'3" (on a good day!). I'm based on the south coast in the UK. I'm in my 50s and work full time as a teacher. I'm pretty active - but there's always room for some more.
My GW is 133lb
my UGW is 126 - although that is very optimistic!
I weigh in on Thursdays, but get around to posting at the weekends

Time to get back into tracking and start being more accountable to myself! Good luck everyone with this round of weight loss!
06 Feb - 143.2lb (1.4lb)Not a great week, but no excuses. I need to get my head back into this!
Any tips to get me out of this rut?
13 Feb - 142.6 (0.6)That will have to do. My head is still elsewhere unfortunately. Thanks for @200Karen for the idea about water and protein - it is something I will look into. Thanks also to @Walela617 for the positivity - there's still a way to go until I'm happy with what I see in the mirror!
I'm off to Rome for a residential trip with the school next week - I'm not sure I will be able to curb the carbs and drink lots of water. However, we are going to do a lot of walking. Good luck to everyone next week!
20 Feb - 143.4lb (+0.8)Considering how much and what I ate in Rome - that weight measurement actually isn't that bad!
I'm not a fan of coffee, so that wasn't a problem! However, I ate a lot of pasta, a lot of pizza and some fast food - not my first choices for meals that's for sure. However, I did an awful lot of walking - over 18,000 steps on Monday, over 30,000 steps on Tuesday, over 23,000 steps on Wednesday and over 20,000 steps on Thursday - a lot more than I normally do!! I'm looking forward to eating salads and vegetables next week, with the hope I can get to the end of February weighing less than at the start!!
27 Feb - 142.6lb (-0.8)I know it's not much, but I'll have it!
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS FOR FEBRUARY: 0.6That is really quite rubbish, so I am hoping that I will get my head back into things. Work has been quite stressful and one of my sister's is in hospital after complications with a heart operation, so my head hasn't been in a diet-mode. She is getting better, so hopefully I will be around for proper meals and thinking about my health. Good luck everyone with their weight loss this month!

All is back to normal and it’s time now to focus on getting back to good health and good habits. I have noticed lately that I am still eating way too fast which causes me to eat more as I try to fill in a specific time frame that feels normal to me. I don’t know if it’s from early-in-my-life jobs that had very short breaks and food had to be shoveled in. Or maybe the fact that I am one of 6 kids and my 3 brothers would get it all if we didn’t eat fast and stand our ground as sisters. Time to change it. Change isn’t easy at almost 65 yrs old when it’s been a lifetime habit, but I’m going to give it my very best efforts. Have a great week everyone!

Excellent restart to health and good habits. Eating slower is a great goal and reminder for us ALL Thanks for sharing
Today I am helping my DH after yesterday’s 3+ hour double hernia surgery. The surgery was more involved with the bladder intertwined.
Then at the hospital, I had another pause in my nutrition plan this time it was shrimp and grits 'twice'. This was a new to me dish and Sooooo Yummy.
Once we got home I looked up the recipe and WOW know wonder it was good all the calories and sodium 😂 😏 Today, I'm back on track

So much for my objective to lose ten pounds by SPRING {Oops.} I still hope to lose at least eight pounds by the end of this challenge.
Hi everyone,
I've been having a really "off" week and my lifestyle has gone "off the rails" with eating and drinking alcohol and not moving much at all!
I started over again around 7pm on March 4th, also known as "March Forth"! That's what I plan to do. What's done is done; so back to square ONE!
"Get ready to march forth and conquer your goals on March 4 – also known as March Forth Day! This unique holiday encourages people to take charge of their lives and move forward with determination and courage."
I'm actually a little anxious about stepping on the scale tomorrow morning because I know I'm up. (I just hope I haven't gained to the 160's!) I promise to post the truth, no matter what the scale says. STILL not giving up, though!
I am changing my weigh-in days to Thursdays and will start up "SPRING into SUMMER" challenge soon. It will begin on March 20th and will continue through June 20th (13 weeks, where I hope to lose at least 15 lbs.)
My final weigh-in for this challenge will be Wednesday, April 30th, but I will also weigh in on Thursday, May 1st.
Have a great day,
💗Carole
