@SunnyDays930 I'm going to buy some sauerkraut. I remembered an old Americas Test Kitchen taste test of sauerkraut. I wish I could make a link here.

Interestingly, they said the sauerkraut in bags in the refrigerated section was not as good as Jarred or canned sauerkraut. The bags have preservatives in them. I think I'll do my own taste test. Their #1 and #2 were Eden Organic (jar) and Libby's (can).

It’s been a good week so far eating wise. I have kept to the no soda and no deep fried foods and haven’t had any sugary snacks even though that wasn’t one of my goals this week. Once I got to the 10 day mark or so I have found I am not really craving them which is a miracle since my favourite food group is usually chocolate. I haven’t been drinking as much water as I should still, but I am getting some in every day which I count as a success.

I will weigh in on Friday and so far feel confident that I will see at least a small loss.

A challenge I am facing is not getting obsessive with the scale and weighing every morning the moment I wake up. Not that weighing yourself everyday necessarily means you are obsessed but in my case it does. I used to feel anxious before and after I would weigh myself even if it was a loss. I was anxious that it wasn’t enough or wondering if it was muscle loss instead of fat loss. It took me awhile to realize the negative effect this was having on me so this time around I am scaling back on my weight ins (see what I did there? scaling back? I love puns). Anyway, mentally I feel better about weighing in only once a week.

What challenges are you facing and what is your plan to face them?

    True
