We sent my best friend to the Angels during a very nice service on Saturday. I lost power to my home for 9 hours this week and I had my furnace go out with no heat for 3 days and 2 nights due to the power coming back on with such force. We just about froze to death here in Northern Michigan. So I will take the 1 lb loss and run with it. Itβs time for me to get back to my normal life and get busy taking care of my health and my fitness. I finally feel ready for it. I will have all my color HTML removed from my posts due to the changes by MFP by the start of next challenge April 1st. Sorry for the inconvenience.
03/10-197.4- (Trend Weight: 196.4)- Looks like I regained the pound I lost last week, then doubled it up for good measure. I know I can do better. Iβm just being ridiculous and spending a lot of time feeling sorry for myself due to so many recent events in my life. Itβs time to take care of myself. My pledge to myself and to you is that you will see better numbers next week, even if itβs by 0.1 pounds. This 2 pound gain in just 7 days is unacceptable. I am still about Β½ pound less than when I started the month of March but it wonβt stay that way at this rate. The buck stops here!

Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I started my journey in January 2023, and over the last two year have lost almost 90 pounds. I got to my goal weight in the last quarter of 2024, and now tackling the maintenance phase. There aren't too many maintenance threads on MFP, so hope you don't mind I hop on this thread for this part of my journey. I have been a member of a daily accountability group that really helped me, but would love to transition into a weekly one. I'm working on a buffer to make it so I never hit overweight again, but will be happy just to stay in the ideal BMI range the rest of my life. I'll weigh in on Wednesday, we'll see how that goes!

Not sure I like this new format - but it is what it is! Leaving bright and early this morning on vacation for nine days. Hope to stay within my five pound maintenance range - but ideally my goal is to stay under my goal weight (140). Will have a couple challenging food days, but most of the time will just be Greg and I, so should be ok - the biggest obstacle will be the lack of exercise time and the salt in the restaurant food. I'll do my best.

I lost a bit of weight by changing my habits eating at restaurants. I only eat out if I am with others and typically order one entrΓ©e/no sides or soup and salad
*2025 I will not eat anywhere with a drive thru window!
*I quit drinking cream/sugar after 2 cups of coffee..most days and cut down on wine/beer and buying cake, cupcakes
*Also, I have a meal plan with vegetarian meals at least 5 days per week. I have my meals logged in advance every week, usually around 1500 calories per day. (I'm short 5'2). Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I started my journey in January 2023, and over the last two year have lost almost 90 pounds. I got to my goal weight in the last quarter of 2024, and now tackling the maintenance phase. There aren't too many maintenance threads on MFP, so hope you don't mind I hop on this thread for this part of my journey. I have been a member of a daily accountability group that really helped me, but would love to transition into a weekly one. I'm working on a buffer to make it so I never hit overweight again, but will be happy just to stay in the ideal BMI range the rest of my life. I'll weigh in on Wednesday, we'll see how that goes!

Hope to stay within my five pound maintenance range - but ideally my goal is to stay under my goal weight (140). Will have a couple challenging food days, but most of the time will just be Greg and I, so should be ok - the biggest obstacle will be the lack of exercise time and the salt in the restaurant food. I'll do my best.
- πMarch 13: 139 π₯ π£πΆββοΈπ«βI was away on vacation and did not log every day while I was there, so missed a few goals. I am happy with the number though, was scared that I was going to go over my 140 goal. I got my walking and cardio exercise done, but missed the strength and stretch goals.
- πMarch 19: 137.6 π₯ π£ ππ₯ πΆββοΈπ«ποΈββοΈβ All goals met! Was a good week for me, coming back from vacation I got right back to it and was on plan most of the week. Had my pre-physical yesterday, doctor is very happy with the weight I am now. I was thinking another five pounds, but she said no. She'd rather see me at the top of the BMI range instead of lower at my age. I had blood drawn for lab testing - I am very interested to see how my cholesterol is. It has been high for as long as I can remember - coming down with the weight loss, but still over the range. I'm hoping to see a normal result this time.

I lost a bit of weight by changing my habits eating at restaurants. I only eat out if I am with others and typically order one entrΓ©e/no sides or soup and salad
*2025 I will not eat anywhere with a drive thru window!
*I quit drinking cream/sugar after 2 cups of coffee..most days and cut down on wine/beer and buying cake, cupcakes
*Also, I have a meal plan with vegetarian meals at least 5 days per week. I have my meals logged in advance every week, usually around 1500 calories per day. (I'm short 5'2). I try to stick to the plan, but not counting calories anymore.Wishing everyone the best with this challenge! π₯³ Happy New Year!!!

πππππ 03/24-195.4-(Trend Weight: 194.4)- I think the birthday party Saturday caught up to me. Of course, that also meant a bit of travel, lack of exercise and no prescribed Lasix. Hopefully the coming days will bring a more realistic number. However, I probably wonβt like that one either, even though it should be more accurate. Iβm Bloated and Shivering today. Heat still not fixed (since last Thursday) although we are coaxing a bit of heat out of it a little at a time manually. Itβs unsafe to do what we are doing, but we are being careful. Northern Michigan is very cold and I woke up to another 2 inches of snow today. The furnace part is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I hope heβs right about whatβs wrong. This will be the 3rd new part going on. See you next week at the end of the challenge. I hope my numbers will be something I can be a bit more proud of!

- πMarch 5: 138.5 π₯ π£ ππ₯ πΆββοΈπ«ποΈββοΈβ All goals met! Not sure I like this new format - but it is what it is! Leaving bright and early this morning on vacation for nine days. Hope to stay within my five pound maintenance range - but ideally my goal is to stay under my goal weight (140). Will have a couple challenging food days, but most of the time will just be Greg and I, so should be ok - the biggest obstacle will be the lack of exercise time and the salt in the restaurant food. I'll do my best.
- πMarch 13: 139 π₯ π£πΆββοΈπ«βI was away on vacation and did not log every day while I was there, so missed a few goals. I am happy with the number though, was scared that I was going to go over my 140 goal. I got my walking and cardio exercise done, but missed the strength and stretch goals.
- πMarch 19: 137.6 π₯ π£ ππ₯ πΆββοΈπ«ποΈββοΈβΒ All goals met! Was a good week for me, coming back from vacation I got right back to it and was on plan most of the week. Had my pre-physical yesterday, doctor is very happy with the weight I am now. I was thinking another five pounds, but she said no. She'd rather see me at the top of the BMI range instead of lower at my age. I had blood drawn for lab testing - I am very interested to see how my cholesterol is. It has been high for as long as I can remember - coming down with the weight loss, but still over the range. I'm hoping to see a normal result this time.
- πMarch 26: 138.5 π₯ π£ ππ₯ πΆββοΈπ«ποΈββοΈβ All weekly goals met - Under my weekly calorie limit 1,298 calories - up a bit in the weight - a couple of days over the sodium limit towards the end of the week and retaining water, but still in my maintenance range!
