Hi, I am catching up on the show DH, and I watch Married At First Sight.

Lisa, DH, and I talk on my way to work afterward. I want him to counsel that mom, but it could be a violation, so I had my manager talk to her the morning of my last day. For many years, we talked about the heaviness of my job. I also have a therapist. Working out helps, as well as my antidepressant. Living alone helps my focus. As my therapist says, focus on getting healthy and weight loss. Before being on antidepressants, I used to cry for days. I would get so attached to the kids, and then when they died, it was hard. I will never get attached like that again. I do spend money on these kids, too. If I knew how to sew, I would make hospital gowns with snaps. So, I ordered from Etsy instead. Since my baby has a trach, I ordered jumpers with snaps. You can't help but love these kids.

Barbara, I am so sorry for your loss. Sending tight hugs.

Heather, was your dad a baker? That cake was gorgeous. Sending prayers for your ex-husband. I love that you care about him.

Rita, I love your last joke and the dancing ladies.

    Beth, your mom looks happy.

    Rebecca, How was your trip?

Allie, I am glad Dan is taking care of you. I know you are so happy to be home. I wanted the hospital to tend to you for a few more days. Delia looks happier, and Miles is enjoying that cake.

    Goodnight everyone,

    XO,

    Mo in Mississippi.

     - thank you for mentioning you use Voltaren on your feet. I might get some yet. There was some reason I wasn't too excited about it - maybe potential side effects. Perhaps it's like most OTC meds similar to how I use ibuprofen for example - use sparingly for acute symptoms.

    I use this: https://www.voltaren.com.au/products/pain-relief-gel/voltaren-triple-effect-emulgel/

And I use it maybe once a week.

Yes, I think it's like any NSAID - use it sparingly.

    Hey, kids,

Just a quick drive-by posting… up too early, brain fizzing, etc.

Mo - Thanks for the answer, I really appreciate it, and the idea that living alone helps your focus, but being able to reach out to your spouse and your therapist helps you keep your balance and keep going back to work makes sense to me. I'm glad you have rich resources to draw from.

Many hugs out to those who need them. You all stay in my heart.

    Later,
    Love,
    Lisa in AR

    (((Barbara)))

RE I as in agree with you! The neighbors next to my son's house hired another neighbor to build a rock wall like the one she has in her yard she built 30 years ago. She is not licensed and bonded. She hired her because she needed the work. It is now two years later it is still not done. She often works at night and uses spotlights and a tent when she wants to use a space heater. Initially I allowed her to use my outside outlet because it was closer to her work. and their outlet was on an extension cord.

When she damaged the culvert between our properties and only fixed it because I pointed it out, ( got damaged because she dropped one of the 40-60 pound rocks on it.) I put my foot down and said she could no longer use my outlet. Turns out she was using my hose too without asking, too!

In trying to help her neighbor asked if I had any work for her to consider it. I considered it and NO is my answer. I am careful who I hire. I do use a handyman who I know is not licensed and bonded for small projects. The big ones roof, furnace, etc, major remodel…I hire licensed and bonded like you.

you can make a comment from the page where you are reading, but it will post at the end. If you want to reply to a particular person’s comment, you can click quote at the bottom of their comment. Your final comment will still appear at the end, but the quote will remind people what you are actually commenting on, so the conversation glows. Does that make sense?

you make want to make note of what page you were on. Technically, it’s supposed to take you back to the last page read, not from where you posted, but I find that I often miss a post or two if I’m not careful.

    welcome!

Carol, I’m glad your son’s surgery went well but sorry for your additional joint pain.
