    So many interesting topics 😂

I open the app on both my iPad and iPhone, scroll on the iPhone and post on the iPad, which works quite well for me.

🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

I keep getting a bad Gateway for MFP. According to Google, it's a problem with their server!

Rori ~ What a scare you had. In my mind I picture you as healthy as one could be. Hope you continue to feel good.

Ginny ~ Thoughts and prayers as you go through the surgery.

Thank you for the explanation. It’s going to take a little to get used to this but I’m excited to try it.

I have a newbie question as I try to figure out this platform. 🤭 I have started getting friend requests (wasn’t expecting that) and all but one are men. WW had a “follow” feature and I guess that is what I expected on here. What is this “friend” concept on here, is it so people can chat with you? Why are they all men lol. I haven’t accepted anyone as it just seemed strange to me. This is funny, I’m only 55 and I’m feeling super old on this platform as I try to figure out how to navigate on it.

Rosie FL - I think you will find that those men are either trolls or bots. I don't bother with friends, as Barbie said, and only have the ones I need to directly message with personal info, like a meet up IRL, or email communication.

If you see my Instagram post, please like it. It helps to spread it around a bit more. Pesky algorithms. 😅

Long chat with G today. P was driving us nuts yesterday. She wants us to wear a huge lanyard for our high-school year reunion. I flatly refused and suggested the smallest possible name badge. I prefer to have as little activity and communication with her as possible as her anxious thinking processes drive me crazy.

My friend B seems to have sold her holiday house in Northern Cyprus on the 1st day! They were queuing up with deposits! I hope it all goes ahead smoothly, with no slip ups. Her husband is now in his mid 80s, so they feel the time is right to sell.

I felt very virtuous this morning as I used the IP to cook brown lentils and then brown rice for a lunchbowl. Had it with cooked organic beetroot, feta, and lots of arugula. Yummo. I have put the extra cooked portions in the freezer, keeping some brown rice for tomorrow lunch. John likes a sandwich, or bagel etc, so today was my break away. 😂 I did make him a very nice wholemeal bagel with feta and tomatoes etc.

Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx

OOh those friends requests, that is annoying. I get like 4 a week just delete and don't pay them no mind. Just trolls looking for lonely old ladies to scam! The only downside of this site, because they are new members, their "friends list" seems to be all ladies that have fallen for the bait (of a handsome older guy mostly stolen ID profile photos). We are smarter than that, I wish we could report them!🙄

Welcome! Put your feet up, ask any question, vent, boast, whine, we gotcha!

I might say I am an intermittent faster, but I do not do it every day. I would say about 50% of the time. Its usually a Mon thru Wed thing, then we shop, or I make a meal for husband that I want too, so I am not serious about it. Life is too short to lock me into any regiment for that matter. I do seem to buy the same things too. I definitely know what processes well. Oh that turkey will make some lovely meals! When I make my yummy chicken broth, I put some of the broth in ice cube trays so I can put in random things, make a mugs worth, or add to rice, or add while making instant mashed poatoes. My freezer isn't big so I can't freeze too much stuff though. Its just one of those above the fridge. Rental companies do not put fancy fridges in their units! My sister has a fridge with two doors plus two drawers underneath. The upper part has a screen that shows a calendar etc like its a functioning tablet. I am always sending her photos of other peoples drawers, making them a salad bar with containers to just open and create, or using one of the containers to make tiramisu.

Kylia - Can you find some time to rest? I know you have responsibilities, but your schedule would exhaust anyone. I can only do one or two things a day, and I nap every afternoon. I've always been like that. Any extra pressure sends me into a spiral of tiredness and depression. Our natural way of life from evolution is to spend a lot of time resting. If I have a lot scheduled, I get anxious, so I take great care to avoid responsibilities, deadlines, social commitments etc. I have grown pretty ruthless at saying no. No one seems to mind because they are used to me! Can you schedule a 'Do Nothing Day'? A duvet day? Anyone would be tired in your situation. I agree with Lisa, the body keeps the score and cannot be overridden. Listen to what it is telling you. Rest, sleep, rest, sleep. Lots of 😍.

Pleased with my two new bras that arrived from Amazon. I haven't worn a bra in decades. They crush my ribs. I have a very wide back, and a bulging upper stomach, so even the stretchiest bra kills me. I ordered XXL in a very stretchy fabric and I can actually bear to wear them, I think, for a few hours! 🤸‍♀️ In my enthusiasm, I tried them on with my new t shirt and shirt, and found it made a huge difference. Such a relief! I couldn't resist putting on my pink mirrored sunglasses with the outfit. Now to find somewhere to wear them. And the right weather.

Making my leek, spinach, blue cheese, and egg, tortilla tart again tonight. I'm going to add some fresh sage from the front garden, where it's taking over.

Ginny - Spot on! You said " Lisa - for spoiler I type my message, highlight text, go to the Paragraph icon on the left and choose spoiler option after clicking '' option."

To add to that, for anyone on their phone or on a tablet, you would highlight the first word in the text the same way you highlight a single word, by holding it for a second with a fingertip. Then, dragging the colored teardrop icon at the right side of that word down, you can highlight the whole paragraph, or many paragraphs. On tablet or phone, the paragraph icon (which looks like a backward p) is at the bottom of the text box. Select that, choose, the quote icon, and then the word "Spoiler," to put everything you've highlighted into a spoiler.

    Nap time!

Good to hear from you, Kim. My husband also goes to counseling once a week. He has many non-resolved issues from his childhood. I can see a difference in him and how he responds to stress.

    The concert sounds fun, too!

Heather's question about the house made me think for a minute. No one moved into my mom's house while she was in hospice, but once she was in hospice, my niece and I started cleaning things out. My mom knew we were doing it, and we asked her at different times about different items. I don't know if it bothered her or not because sometimes when we talked about it, she suggested that we just pour gas on the whole thing and light a match. She really did not want us to have to deal with it all. But we were also the heirs. Kim has a good point about the will. I assumed it would all go to Debbie's DH, but I suppose it might not because of that cousin in Japan. I guess she could make a fuss, but I'm pretty sure she's not going to want old pots and pans.

Rori—What a scare! Glad you were able to get help. Sending positive healing thoughts.

Kylia-Hang in there. We are all here to listen if you need us. So glad your GS was Ok. That had to be scary for him.

Passing out/Dizzy-I have been having episodes lately where I get really dizzy if I stand too quickly or pop up after bending over. I highly doubt it's anemia. We are eating meat like teenage boys right now to help the mister heal. I check my BP regularly and it's fine. Blood glucose is fine. Don't know what it is. Do allergies do this to any of you? The pollens are swirling high these days. If the new vitamins don't work, I'll call the doc for a blood panel.

The ants are crazy right now. It's very early for this. I'm so tired of fighting them.
