I'm glad you didn't have any storm damage @SummerSkier . (At least I assume you didn't since you didn't mention any.) Great running and love the flowers. That passion flower!!

Great running @kgirlhart ! You should have channeled your inner child and ran through the puddles instead of jumping them. 😉

@angf0679 I think you need to tape some motivating sayings around your house get out to hepl motivate you to get out and run. One of my favorites is: "The only run you regret is the one you didn't do." - Noel Carroll Nice run today.

Nice run @martaindale and glad you got in a nice afternoon walk with your husband.

Glad to see that your procedure went well @chris_in_cal . I hope you recover quickly.

    You're doing great @Mari33a .

    Very nice @John772016 .

Great running, as always, @tarun_yadavA .

    63.30/80.00 goal

I got up early enough to get in my run before heading out for the day. I thought about running on the treadmill just because I didn't want to deal with my hills, but it was 61F (15.5C), cloudy, and calm winds, so I did driveway laps. I'm glad I went out. It was a decent run.

I walked 0.35 miles for warm up and then ran/walked. The first mile was slower than I felt I was going, so after that, I added a couple of fartlek's each lap and ran the last 0.30 miles at a pace as fast as I could maintain. Then, I walked 0.45 miles for cool down. The avg pace for the run was 12:47 min/mile. Avg HR was 136 with a max of 158 bpm. Splits were 13:35, 12:42, 15:03 (0.15 mile - mostly walk up a hill), and 9:50 (0.30 mile).

I was supposed to go to the gym today, but while running some errands before I got there, my trainer texted me to say that she had messed up her schedule so we cancelled for today. I just went on to work and worked an extra hour. (I just now realized that I could have gone to the gym and worked out on my own. Didn't even think about it this morning. 😂😗)

We had more rain and thunderstorms last night and this morning, but I was able to get out for a 4-mile run this morning. It stormed overnight and was raining when I got up, but the rain let up for a little bit before more thunderstorms arrived. It was humid, but not too hot, so it was a nice enough run.

TGIF! No possums in the garage today. It was really foggy this morning. and warm. That just seemed to really just drain the energy out of me. But I prevailed and got an 8 in since I am off work today. Up to 844 for the year but I don't think I will make 900 this month. I finally managed to drift down to my weight goal so hopefully now I can slowly ramp back up on cals and energize myself to do more. When I started in Jan I thought I would finish up before the end of Feb and did not expect it to take 16 weeks but I think slow and steady was the way to go as I think I was able to improve my fitness and stick with the program by not putting too big a deficit out there. I really do like the TDEE chart but of course it does not account for activity level. But you can customize how many weeks it uses to calculate so if for some timeframe you are less active it can be accounted for that way.

Well, I'm certainly obstinate. For today until Sunday there's a Garmin badge for a 10k run, and for some reason this motivates me. Running didn't go well today: my chest muscles cramped up and hence I could not breathe in a relaxed way. Just about managed 5km, then walked briefly, then another shorter run etc. Somehow got to 10km with a total of 6 minutes walking; how I got the 63 steps up to my flat is a different story though. It wasn't pretty 😅 But yeah: got 10km, and it was also the fastest 10k on my garmin account.

    Love the pics @WarmJellyfish.
Obstinate is a key skill @yirara be proud of it! Congrats on the 10K Garmin badge! & thanks for the reminder about it…..

@kgirlhart, your post reminds me of a couple runs last year where I was a bit short of a 10K so ran around my building a few times. When I did, one of the security guards, smiled at me as I came in, and says, 'Got that 10K done did ya?' They're watching me on the security cameras doing loops.

Planned rest day today, but had a bunch of errands to 'run' including picking up a race kit for my 5K charity run Sunday (colorectal cancer). Decided since I had the time, to walk home from the kit pick-up so added an ~7K walk to the day.

Glad you got a nice run in between the storms yesterday @kgirlhart ! Great run today and congrats on making your monthly goal already. I usually love interval runs too. A possum in the bed is not something I would want to find!

Beautiful walk @WarmJellyfish . Love that meme!

You continue to do great @tarun_yadavA .

Amazing @SummerSkier . I'm glad the possum didn't come back.

Way to hang in there and get it done @yirara .

Hahaha @John772016 . You can't get away from "big brother" watching you. Have fun with your race on Sunday. That's a great cause.

@quilteryoyo that azalea is amazing! 😍 I wish we could use spoilers with pics also. LOL. I thought I had resized mine but that doesn't work off my ipad or phone. ONly on a computer. Hope you checked yourself and Tippy for ticks.

@kgirlhart I am impressed he was HOLDING the dang opossum. I have never thought we should put that extra o on the spelling but there it is.

@chris_in_cal hope that you recover easily and this is the last procedure you need for a while!

@John772016 those badges!!!! And of course they were watching you finish the 10K 😂

@yirara wow! I hope you can walk today. I usually try to walk after a really hard effort a couple hours later just to make sure my legs work.

@tarun_yadavA enjoy the marathon runners. They are SO fast. I am always impressed by everyone who can do that distance.

@WarmJellyfish lovely photos. Esp our little brown furry friend.

Great run @tarun_yadavA . Enjoy watching the marathon.

@SummerSkier The resizing of the photos didn't work on the computer last night either. They were small until I hit "post reply" and then they got big again. They really need to fix that spoiler thing.
