Slow run, yet fastest 7k ever. Suddenly things kind of work. Weather forecast for tonight was sunny, 1bf wind, nice. The reality: suddenly a storm came up, and a torrential, icecold rain blew down. That was unpleasant and unexpected.

Nice rucking @WarmJellyfish . That is not something I have the desire to do, but am impressed with those who do.

@RunsOnEspresso Great run. I hope your achilles is okay. You've taken the first step to getting back to a healthy lifestyle. Hang in there and you know we are here for you.

    Congratulations @yirara ! Great run!

@John772016 Glad you are following doctor's orders. A nice walk is a great alternative to a run. Glad your knees are still working.

    Nice mileage @kgirlhart .

    Welcome back @RunsOnEspresso

Another 8k loop for me today, slower thanks to a killer Pilates session yesterday. Also, while cooler, it’s still really really humid which just makes me sluggish.

Hang in there @angf0679 . You only fail if you quit trying.

@ContraryMaryMary You did great. Humidity makes such a big difference.

You did great just getting out there @tarun_yadavA . Tomorrow will be better. Hahaha. I've seen that meme before. I used to try to correct non-runners on that point, but I just gave up.

I'm getting my main electrical panel replaced today, so I will be without electricity ALL day. The power company is supposed to be here around 8am to disconnect. When trying to decide what I could do with my time, I was thinking that I could use my computer until the battery got low, but then I remembered that the wifi uses electricity. I guess I will be stuck dusting the furniture after all. 🤣

@quilteryoyo I have back up energy bricks which I plug my UPS into and last a good long time.

@tarun_yadavA again? dude. You are going to eventually learn not to do this to yourself right? Love the meme tho. too true. Same happens with horseback riding for me. and tennis. etc.

@RunsOnEspresso gosh I am not really an old timer compared to some here but welcome back! You know we lost one of ours last year :(

Yesterday's running weather was amazing . clear night sky and mid 50' s. I did not intend to do 8 but I felt really strong so I just did. I haven't felt that energy all year so it was a nice surprise. AND… it carried over to playing tennis in the evening so a win win. If I could bottle what makes that happen.

Oy! I'm heading to the hospital tomorrow for an outpatient procedure. It's going to require some recovery, and I'm not sure how long (a couple of days? a couple of week?) This path toward health, fitness, and a good weight is bumpy and disjointed.

I ran about :20 seconds more after the watch chimed in for two miles, and then stopped the watch…it came out at exactly 2 miles.
