I am 52 years old and have over 50+ pounds to lose...( thank you menopause!) I am a Christ follower, a paper artist, a photographer, a wall muralist,a home educator of three children- 2 of which have graduated, a wife to my sweetheart, a world traveller, an art journaller, an illustrator of children's picture books ( unpublished to date..hehe), an avid foodie, a consumer of copious amounts of coffee,armchair philosopher and historian, a crocheter,a knitter -wanna-be, horrible seamstress who loves to upcycle clothes,a theatre director,and a dog-owning-animal-loving dreamer who loves music from the 1920's- 1950's....did I mention the coffee? I am trying the low-carb, very low sugar, resistance training and fasting approach to my new menopause body.......can you relate to any of this?...

I am 52 as well. What a wonderful post. I am a Mother of a 24 year old son soon to be 25 this year. I am currently a Senior Housing Counselor for a Non profit but I was a Mortgage Loan officer for many years before then. I am also a business owner of a small Multimedia company. My passion is Radio and Television both are basically obsolete now lol. I've been in the industry since high school and as you know so much has changed so I am trying to find my way. I am hoping to get into Film production as well as script writing. I am a foodie which is why I am currently 360 pounds. After Covid I was working from home remotely for 2 years which caused atrophy in my leg muscles. This has worsened as well as severe inflammation. I now can barely walk with a cane. I am serverly Anemic as well so I am extremely tired all the time. I am here to restart taking control of my life and hopefully allow my body to heal itself. I am starting an alternate day fasting lifestyle. I hope this will work. If you would like to connect as friends in the app I am open to it. Good luck.
