    **Stick to my calorie goals (1600, plus 100 on days I go in to the office- more movement/longer day).
    **If I go over, try not to go over by more than 300. So that I don't just give up and splurge higher and higher.

    05/19-195.4 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 195.2) I tried to be stupid yesterday and only eat about 800 calories to make up for past transgressions but, as usual, it didn’t work. When will I learn? However, I still managed to pull off a good day and I’m showing a 1 lb loss since last weigh-in so that helps. I hate walking backwards so I need to keep my head in the game!

    🌺🌺🌺 🌺🌺 05/20 – 195.4 💠 (Trend Weight –195.2) I ended up out of town and out to lunch/dinner yesterday (my first meal of the day). My new push lawnmower delivered to store arrived and we went to pick it up about two hours away round trip. We decided on a restaurant and I know the calories and carbs were very high though I only ate about half. It would not have been too bad if not for the snacks last night. One snack should have been enough! Anyway, the mower is one of those battery operated ones. For a widow like me it will be nice to not have to worry about gasoline or oil changes etc. I just hope it cuts sufficiently. I bought a very good brand with a 7.5ah battery so fingers crossed! I already have a riding lawn mower my person I hire usually uses for most of the yard. This would be for tight areas or if my person does not show up.

    I’m back for another month! Love the MAY Mantra and hope to adopt it as well. My goal is to work towards overall improved health by eating healthier and increasing activity.

    I’m starting a bit late this month due to traveling for work. Just returned home and found myself up 5 pounds…yikes! Time to get back to better habits!

    May 20: logged. Struggled with meeting step goal due to the many meetings and rainy weather! They are calling for another rainy day today. Was +66 over on calorie goal and just shy of protein goal. I made some high protein blueberry muffins as a “snack” so I’m not tempted by other sweet treats. They smelled delicious, not as sweet as a blueberry muffin but again they aren’t supposed too!

Actually, it was two….. Too much high calorie and high carb Orange Juice. Today I take my two oldes DGS’ for their hair appointments. Dinner out afterward which is customary. Sometimes I don’t eat and just get water. I suppose it depends on where we go. They pick so we’ll see.

    May 21: logged. Met protein goal and went over in calories. I am very close to dropping those 5lbs I gained the end of last month. I leave Saturday for our girls vacation. 🌴☀️ I will need to be better about logging/eating while I’m there so I don’t end up ⬆️ on the scale again! Have a great day everyone!! 😊

    🌺🌺🌺🌺05/22 – 193.8 ✅ (Trend Weight – 195.2) I’ve been so sick for several days now. It didn’t slow me down the first couple of days but it’s taking it’s toll today. It’s a combined head and chest cold. Lots of snot & phlegm. Of course, it has not affected my appetite and I could eat a whole roasted pig if I wanted, but I’m definitely running out of tissue. I wonder how long it will take to get back to normal. DGS and daughter arrive today for 2-4 days as usual. Actually, up to 5 days since Monday is a Holiday. I don’t know their schedule yet. We will be celebrating Memorial Weekend while they are here. I hope she doesn’t overdo it on the food like she typically does. I’d like to keep the festivities involving foods that are out of plan to just one day. We may do the movies this weekend for Lilo & Stitch. I guess that depends how I feel. If I go, I’ll wear a mask to avoid spreading my head cold. That would also mean a restaurant.     I’m back for another month! Love the MAY Mantra and hope to adopt it as well. My goal is to work towards overall improved health by eating healthier and increasing activity.

    I’m starting a bit late this month due to traveling for work. Just returned home and found myself up 5 pounds…yikes! Time to get back to better habits!

Activity was minimal as I was pretty much behind a computer from 6a-5p and then spent my evening making dinner (Asian lettuce wraps 😋) and packing.     05/22 – 193.8 ✅ (Trend Weight – 195.2) I’ve been so sick for several days now. It didn’t slow me down the first couple of days but it’s taking it’s toll today. It’s a combined head and chest cold. Lots of snot & phlegm. Of course, it has not affected my appetite and I could eat a whole roasted pig if I wanted, but I’m definitely running out of tissue. I wonder how long it will take to get back to normal. DGS and daughter arrive today for 2-4 days as usual. Actually, up to 5 days since Monday is a Holiday. I don’t know their schedule yet. We will be celebrating Memorial Weekend while they are here. I hope she doesn’t overdo it on the food like she typically does. I’d like to keep the festivities involving foods that are out of plan to just one day. We may do the movies this weekend for Lilo & Stitch. I guess that depends how I feel. If I go, I’ll wear a mask to avoid spreading my head cold. That would also mean a restaurant. I don’t want to lose my progress so I must be very careful and thoughtful of every morsel I put in my mouth.

    🌺🌺🌺🌺 05/23-193.6 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 195.0) What a horrible night! My poor DGS was sick from both ends and I spent a great deal of time upstairs cleaning a lot of “accidents” up. He has been somewhat sick since last weekend which is probably where I caught it. I think the throwing up part was just due to such extreme coughing causing his gag reflex. He does do that at times. His appetite is certainly not suffering! Anyway, literally 1 hour of sleep for me then had to get up for my Contractor that’s coming today to tie up some loose ends. Who knew he would text later and say he’ll be a couple of hours late? Ugh! Very little movement on the scale when the day went according to plan. Disappointed but feel that it’s because of no sleep. Maybe tomorrow will show a bit of a bigger drop. I’d love to see another drop before the Holiday festivities inflates my numbers.

    May 23: logged and overall did well. Just about lost the 5 lbs I gained at the end of last month so that’s good! Leaving for vaca today….will need to be mindful while I’m there.

    @ozdeelite you did get exercise in… your job is exercise. When you have a physically labored job you are getting movement all day long, which is a good thing. My mom used to always tell me “If you don’t use, it you’ll lose it”. 💪🙂

    I've been doing well with tracking and calorie goals. Today will be harder bc I'm probably going to eat out and have a couple drinks. But I feel like I deserve to indulge a bit, it's been a long couple of weeks. I've been stressed. But I am trying to think of ways to not overdo it.

    **If I go over, try not to go over by more than 300. So that I don't just give up and splurge higher and higher.

    🌺🌺🌺🌺 05/24-192.2 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 194.7) It is an American Holiday weekend which usually means multiple days of food for various reasons from the BBQ’s to shopping and dining out. I will have to work hard so that the scale weight doesn’t escalate in the coming days It will help that my son is away in Philadelphia this weekend and staying in New Jersey to see the heavy metal concerts going on. He’s a huge Metallica fan and Metal is not my thing. Luckily my oldest and her hubby are fans and could invite him to go. I’m glad to see him getting out. Now I just have to contend with my skinny, teeny tiny little foodie daughter and DGS. I may lose a little of my progress but hopefully nothing I can’t get back to by the end of our challenge week. I woke up extra hungry today which always happens after a nice drop on the scale so I am already on the defense to keep things mindful and in control. It’s time to drink some water and just breathe!     @deepwoodslady ruined my streak last night - had some Lindt chocolates while I was watching The handmaids Tale. Not too catastrophic though.

    I’ve done better this week with food and surpassed last month too. I only had 14 ✅ so far I have 17 ✅ so improving.

    Hi all!! 

    I’m back for another month! Love the MAY Mantra and hope to adopt it as well. My goal is to work towards overall improved health by eating healthier and increasing activity.

    I’m starting a bit late this month due to traveling for work. Just returned home and found myself up 5 pounds…yikes! Time to get back to better habits!

I will have to work hard so that the scale weight doesn’t escalate in the coming days It will help that my son is away in Philadelphia this weekend and staying in New Jersey to see the heavy metal concerts going on. He’s a huge Metallica fan and Metal is not my thing. Luckily my oldest and her hubby are fans and could invite him to go. I’m glad to see him getting out. Now I just have to contend with my skinny, teeny tiny little foodie daughter and DGS. I may lose a little of my progress but hopefully nothing I can’t get back to by the end of our challenge week. I woke up extra hungry today which always happens after a nice drop on the scale so I am already on the defense to keep things mindful and in control. It’s time to drink some water and just breathe!     🌺🌺🌺🌺 05/25-193.4 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 194.6) Easy go, Easy Come. I went out-of-town shopping and practiced OMAD with lunch out in the city. Snacks last night were a little overboard in quantity. Overall I was way up there in carbs and over in calories but not too bad. I wasn’t hungry at my normal dinner time so skipping it probably helped. DD is working for the rest of the weekend so that may have been the big food splurge since the other kids have traveled from Michigan to Philadelphia for the mega concert (5 days trip, total). I hope so. There will be enough BBQ’s this summer. I’m still feeling a lot less bloated and much better in my clothes. I want to hang on to this feeling!
