🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 298 (my 228th). So grateful as always @Quiltingjaine.
Goals for every round;
First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available.This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 66 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

5/30 142 – (trend 141) 4.07 miles walked – drove 60 miles to meet up with DD & DGS for the day, steps were obtained whilst waiting for then to arrive! Not proud of the last 3 days, I’ve just gone ferrel!! At least I’ve got a 0.2 pound loss, but it seems that this is becoming a pattern as the last 3 rounds of the previous round I ran amuck too ☹. Maybe I should look at just a 7 day round lol ! I’ll just move on and keep trying.

5/31 Another 5 hr night 💤. Lack of sleep is getting tiresome (no pun intended), but I did take a two hour nap yesterday. Starting to see physical symptoms from not sleeping well… puffiness & fluid retention plus ate later last night (date night) 🚫⚖️this morning. We’ll focus on hydration, walk and lifting. Yesterday: 🏋️♂️✅
Starting fresh round feels good this morning… Headed out for an unexpected day trip at noon to visit our friend with ALS… She is declining rapidly. Puts my life in perspective… grateful.

This whole year I’ve been back to my old game of avoiding the truth about what I’m eating. Meals are fine, but it’s the spaces between where I get myself in trouble, and that’s self-defeating. I'm still totally vulnerable to those same voices as always, and I need to get this back on track NOW. I’m feeing it, finally…I also finally accepted a friend request from @_JeffreyD_ ! Thank you and I'm sorry it took so long! I was deeply in avoidance yet again, but I'm back to reboot!
Commitment this round: log food even when going out, root out the "perfectionism" that makes me avoid looking at reality, and get a grip.
Goals this round:
- Change the tuning in my head to a better station
- Meals and planned snacks only, and nothing but tea after dinner
- Shake up the choices- boredom is getting me
- Stop playing the “pretend to do it” game

6/9:5/31: Friday night at my DD's: food choice disaster. All salty, cheesy snacks and I did not monitor at all, as I haven't all year. Then came home and DP has saved me a slice of pizza. Did I say no?? No, of course not.
So. It's up to me. I can undo all the good work I did last year or set a goal for myself. I do better with targets. We're going to Cape Cod in 3 weeks; between now and then I want to be back at 130ish and not playing the game any more.

I did not weigh yesterday, so my SW is from my last step on a scale. I can’t complain about this morning’s reading after the road trip.I want to hit the next 6 days hard because I have another road trip the end this round. I am not going to take a scale because it’s a fly-in fishing trip in Ontario. We have weight restrictions for the final leg of the trip as we fly to a remote lake/fishing camp. 6/01 174.0 Ha, I did “just give me eleven days” last round! I looked around and thought, where did everyone go? Realized I was still hanging out in the wrong chat!
I ate sporadically yesterday, definitely not good choices. Just nibbles and bits of chocolate and other nonsense, very little actual food. There was three black berry ciders!
Today I am going to brunch, my favorite meal!!! After this non stop week of only eating to stay alive, I’m daydreaming of fluffy Belgium waffles, quiche, sausage and smoked salmon. Ohhhh and a Bloody Mary!!!!! Or two!!!!First I will work out with my ride or die older ladies at 8am followed by a 9am workout with my hardcore women. lol I love it when both my girl gangs workout on the same day and I don’t have to choose between them!!!
That will make sure I don’t have any guilt at brunch! The plan there is to just have small tastes of everything.
With torrential down pours I just did an “everything is now free” estate sale until noon. I’m going to run it again on Tuesday Evening for 2hrs.
Judging from the online response, I will have almost nothing left to cart off!

5/31 – 129.0 Did not get this posted on the correct day. I did a mini binge Friday night, and it is showing on the scale. I also had BAD night. I’ll expound below.
6/1 – 128.8 Friday I had my physical as I mentioned last round. All went well, then she offered me the pneumonia vaccine. I figured why not. Well, man, it better be worth it. I was not warned how crappy I could feel (note that many have no reaction and she did mention some slight reactions). My arm was so sore that I could not sleep friday night, and did not catch on that more was manifesting. I ended up with definite stomach ache, back ache, headache, and I think low level chills. Advil did not cut it, so I added Tylenol. Finally with 5 pills in me, I felt good, which I was glad cause I had a 10 am at my daughter’s house to show possible dresses. After, I headed to the mall, did returns feeling good, grateful, and thinking it was over. Hope, it was just that the 5 pills had not worn off. Was in bed or on the couch the rest of the day and went to bed at 8PM. It is almost 7 am Sunday, I THINK it may be over, but just popped some Tylenol just in case. Fortunately this is not an every year vaccine.

232.2 🚶🏽🍎✅ Didn’t think I could do 3 days in a row at 3 miles, but I did. There was no pain, ok, minimal, so I kept going….i know i need a day of rest but I think Im going to push to Tuesday (work day) when I only do treadmill….Calories 1752, so bump from the day before, I guess. I’ve got to get back to logging my CICO in my spreadsheet so I can start to troubleshoot the lack of downward trend.

@itladyee I would not tell someone to not get the vaccine. I have heard that it is valuable. I just might have picked a different day to do it. :) As I said, plenty of people, including my sister say they have no reaction. I just had been hoping to be more productive this weekend. <3

5/31 RTW-Yesterday was a free for all after traveling home from my uncles cabin. Back on the wagon today.
6/1-140-Still feeling the repercussions of the road trip and unnecessary carbs. Today will be cooler, so we won’t be stuck in the house.
