I have also gotten compliments from others and said as is the house has good curb appeal. It will cheaper for me to maintain or pay to have the windows maintained than to get new windows. I do want to get basement windows done because they open but no screens and no way hard to get fresh air into basement except in no bug and not too cold season. I also want more secure windows.

I do believe a home should be what works for you. When you go to sell a home I understand that is a time you stage a home and their is a big difference.

I am finding clearing and cleaning the garage is helping me making the space work better for me. I purposely did not do much before the installers came. Turns out because of the rain they needed to set up their equipment in the garage so saw dust everywhere in there. There was a good two year worth of dirt from the last clean too so I am only cleaning out a small space at a time. I have created a great place to do my potting of plants that I did not have before. It is also nice to finally have the window properly framed. The window was it but inside was never finished. Small thing but just make the space nicer. When finished I will include a picture!

I had this project done because some of the windows had such bad wood rot that I feared I would have even more headaches and expense. That was another reason I got so upset when that salesman showed up. They were going to replace one of the windows that I was worried about that morning. So I was already not in a good place. As I said I got good news no major underlying damage!

Lanette- I am not sure of the disc numbers, but my DH had lower back issues. Lots of compression. The Chiropractor has him walking backwards for 15 mins a day. Something to do with moving the spine differently than it is use to helps to "lubricate" things. We are almost always going forward. Being in the boot stopped DH from being able to do that exercise, and he felt it.

    Just a thought.

If your granddaughter would love it, have them find a space to store it for her. Once it is gone, it is gone and she will never get the chance to really enjoy that treasure. It could be packed up in a small box and labeled for her. Or, display it so you can continue to not only enjoy the beauty of it but also the memories that go with it. Be sure to tell her all those memories so she can inherit not only the dishes but the special memories of her great great grandmother.

Barbie would you remind me what brand your stainless steel hose is? One of my lightweight, expandable, Grocery Outlet specials hoses burst this afternoon ;{ Yes we live about a mile inland from US101, and it is our one way out, either north or south. There are no through roads from where we live going east, and the ocean is west. ;).

Lanette, long ago I gave Joe a “welcome mat” that said “LEAVE.” ;)

Margaret your home looks lovely! As does Carla’s mommy garden and Allie’s sleeping porch.

Welcome @AutumnDraidean ! Like Lanette, protein is my best defense against the hungries. A cup of bone broth is only 45 calories for 10 grams of protein. Good luck!

Has anyone had any experience with Reclast infusions for osteoporosis? Michele, is that the same as your Prolia? How long does the infusion last? Does it hurt? Any side effects? Thanks all!

Kylia, are you scheduled for something eye related the 17th? Or was that last year?

Kim rejoicing at your progress. ((hugs))

    Later, lighter, lovelies!

Tracey - Your day sounds like the perfect fun time. Spending time with those you love. Michaela is really growing up.

I had a feeling DDIL might like the set. For her 40th, she asked me to buy her a teapot for a present, that she keeps on display in the kitchen. It is a very elaborate design, in vivid colours. She also has a few new mugs in similar porcelain, in bright and gold oriental designs. I hope she displays the set. It does go with their kitchen colours! I've found a place in my cupboards for the white set, and can see me offering my real hot chocolate to guests in them, or an after dinner infusion. The big tureens will have to go though.

I have more stuff I'm washing and sorting through. Some is for the charity shop, but I have a lovely dressing table set from my grandmother, that I used myself for decades in previous houses. I will post a photo. I really like it, and remember it in her bedroom, but it doesn't go with my colours, and I have nowhere to put it. I like to live as minimalist life as possible, so need to shed the stuff that is not appropriate for my current 'season of life'. I don't like to be weighed down with 'things'. Especially those I don't use, or I have no space for, for them to shine as they should. I will probably put it on FB Marketplace. This style is just beginning to come back into fashion with young people, but I am into shedding anything that doesn't bring me peace. A quiet house brings me a quiet mind.

Kim - Big hugs to you. 💖 Kintsugi. 😍

One of the wonderful things in my life now is that Saturday mornings I was walking in a nearby state forest with my dad and my friend. My foot is injured so my Dad went with my friend and I did some meditation in the car. Then we go to my friend's house where his wife bakes a treat to go with coffee. Then we sit and listen to music. A lovely relaxing morning.

Hmm. Vacuuming. I learned to hate it when they used to raise huge choking clouds of dust. I have the vacuum sitting outside my bedroom door just in case I get the urge. But it's been there for months. I haven't tried the railing yet either. My foot is the best excuse I've had in ages. Lol!

I had a few moments of thinking about programming again. I would love to learn to write for phones. But that would be a lot like work, and involve a boss and deadlines and crap. Maybe I should just get a certification in something just in case. Just to keep my head active.

    @Anniesquats100 … I'm glad you're having relaxing Saturday mornings.

Sounds like you might need a new vacuum cleaner! They're not meant to blow dust out!

How are you with data analyses, SQL programming, web development, cloud computing and/or cybersecurity? Those areas individually or in combination with each other are popular.

What language(s) do you program in?

@SophieRosieMom … my husband and I learned a lot of those exercises in our Pilates class. When we get our gym set up, I'll be able to do more of them again.

I love Camellias! I don't recall seeing them where I lived in Canada, so the first time I encountered them was in Australia. They bloom in winter when few other flowers bloom and brighten everything up. At our previous place, there were two. The light pink one would scatter petals around when there was a wind so that one section of our lawn was often covered in pink.

Our new place does not have a Camellia, nor is there one around the immediate area and I really miss them!

I want to bring one into our yard, but I don't have a lot of room, so I might have a look for a dwarf variety.

@GodMomKim … ((hugs)). Prayers for continued healing. I'm so glad you've had lots of help.

And to the card-makers here … you do a beautiful job!!

    Morning all..

Well maybe its the prednisone or old age,I didn't go to sleep until 11pm,but woke up at 4:30,and fell back asleep until 5:30, so I guess as I get older I don't need as much sleep.

And yes it is a sleeping porch..when my great great aunt had the girls boarding school in Chicago, she had this place built to bring the girls out in the
