Hey, kids,
Annie - A light rinse with vinegar may help that stickiness. It's according to what's causing it, so that's a guess.
Corey and I ended up out shopping yesterday, a quick dash through Hobby Lobby while yarn was still on sale to get the one color that I missed when I went by myself, then groceries, then another grocery store that just opened quite a bit closer to us. I'm always thrilled when he tracks prices in his head the same way I do - it just makes me feel like I'm not always the designated adult. (Lots of sympathy on that note, Tracey.) It's a store called 10 Box.
Frugal living stuff:
10Box puts the price of everything (supposedly) up on the shelves at cost, and then adds 10 percent at the checkout to each price.
As long as you can do math in your head, you can find some good deals - the shrimp I buy was $22.95 for 2.5 pounds at the first store (didn't pick it up), and then $17.50 at 10 Box, which makes it $19.25, or more than $3 cheaper. I can usually get three meals out of it, so it drops that from about $8 a meal with tax to about $7 each.
It's frozen individually, so easy to pick out the eight or nine that make a full meal for me and grill them with Corey's steaks when we're having a special dinner. His steak and my shrimp combined, with a potato on the grill for him, and dinner is about $12, as opposed to $75 or $80 out. And honestly, better food, cooked exactly to our own tastes. For our day to day meals, I try to keep the cost of the main protein at $3 or less. It used to be $2 or less, but I can seldom get it down that far these days.
Special dinner tonight, as we celebrate Father's Day today, as well as his birthday, which is this week, and our anniversary, at the end of the month, all at the same time. Bummer for him, but better for the budget, because this year he got a tractor! Ta-da! 😂😎😹 Luckily, I get to play with it too… And for the ladies who ever listen to country music, yes, yes I do think that, but only when he's on the tractor.
Anyway… Other than that, just a quiet day planned today, I think. He was thinking about working on the back bedroom, as it's supposed to rain all morning. Might convince him to take a day off. It IS Father's Day, after all.
Won't be doing anything outside as it BUCKETED down last night, so the ground is just squishy everywhere, and it's raining again this morning.
Seriously, I may have to go down and buy some flippers at Walmart just to walk through the yard.
The mental picture is hilarious.
The reality of walking around in a mudpit is a little less so. The grass and the trees love it, though—I've never seen them greener!
Hope your Sunday is/was lovely and peaceful.
Love,
Lisa in AR6 -
Anniesquats100- ROUVY is a new bike riding home app that I use now. I used to use a bike riding app.called Zwift. I use the app and turn it on using my computer so I have a bigger screen to look at while I ride. It’s like you have a go pro on your head and they are driving everywhere and filming it for these routes you can pick and choose from. So the scenery is real which makes it nice.

Carol - He bought me the body lotion. I was raving about the free sample of 'Flowers' that I got from the hotel in Nottingham. So he got me a normal sized bottle of the stuff. It's an upmarket company, so not my normal spend.
I'm making goat's cheese and mint tart for dinner. I use a wholemeal tortilla for the base, instead of puff pastry. Absolutely divine. Having it with green beans.
Still washing china .I may just keep the white coffee set, as I could use it with company. Anyway, it's clean now. It's called Bristol Garden and can be quite expensive on the replacement websites. I also have two big tureens which will have to go. I used to use them at Christmas and for party salads. I don't do Christmas any more and I definitely am not holding parties!
Glad you enjoyed your meal out, Tracey. :-) John's sister was keen to treat him for a v posh and expensive meal out for his 80th in October, but he said he would rather go to The Regency as he would be more relaxed and enjoy himself more. He definitely didn't want to travel anywhere for it. We deliberately booked our cruise to cover his birthday so he wouldn't have to go through all that nonsense! We will treat the family to a meal at Shandiz, as a combo for his and my birthday. Fun and relaxing, even though 7 healthy appetites makes for a pricey lunch! But he won't be 80 again.
He slept better last night. No panic attack.

Sunday
- Cycled 20 km.
- Wielded my mattock to tear up more of the front lawn to make room for the climbing roses.
- Caught up on my exercise logs.
There are repetitive things I need to do - I really need to put laundry away. I've got at least a couple weeks worth stacked up.
But there are quite a few little jobs around the place:
- I have some plant pots sitting in the lounge room that need to go outside. I think I've found the missing bulbs, but it will take a little bit of effort to get at them. So, I should put it all together, get those pots outside, put soil in them, and finish planting my bulbs.
- And there's a project I've started for my cycling club which I need to finish by the first weekend in July.
- And I should buckle down and finish updating addresses from our move last year … instead of just getting our mail redirected periodically. I keep picking away at it so some of it is done.
- And there's more … lots of little projects.
Last year about this time, we had finished painting, the floors were done, and we were starting to move into the house (not just the garden and garage). 😊
We painted the main room and primary bedroom in our house light blue because we like the light blue … it's for us and we don't regret it! We had the floors done for us, because we like the colour and hard-surface flooring, but also possibly for resale value. The dark grey carpets that were there were not very nice and we think these floors have the potential to increase the value of the property.
I doubt that this will be the last place we live. I imagine that we will sell it a few years down the road. But that all depends on my job and my husband's health. A year ago, I figured we'd be selling within 5 years. Now I'm sort of thinking I might like to stay here a little bit longer than that.

Annie - yes, talking about signs - I saw one that said "By knocking on the door or ringing the doorbell, you are giving me permission to pepper spray you." I still want to get one of those - adding in "or launch water balloons at you" would be a neat feature, lol. 🤩 People don't know if I'm kidding with this stuff or serious. It depends, right? Glad to hear you're getting back into a morning routine. It will soon be automatic.
Rebecca - have a wonderful day BIRTHDAY girl!😍
Heather - nice to hear DDIL wants that beautiful tea set and that it will stay in the family. That's a joy.
Kim - you amaze me at how you are well you are actively working on recovery from the surgery and plans your future. Very inspiring! Is your nephew looking after your mom since you're unable to drive down every week right now to handle her affairs?
Tracey - Naomi Judd's books sounds interesting. I think her list is right on. Those calendars you'll be making sound cute!
Debbie - I was going to mention what a relief that MIL's care home isn't being sold after all. I sometimes figure out calories and macros like Machka does, but most often I use the MFP Food log and click on "Food," then click on the Recipe feature to build a recipe. I kind of ball park how many servings I'll get from a batch of stew, for example, and let MFP calculate the rest. I've also used the "Remember Meal" feature under quick tools in the food log if I manually calculate and input everything. I just need to make sure I don't have other meal items included when I do this.
I'm heading to T's this afternoon for a Father's Day cook-out. Hot Dogs and chili and strawberry shortcake are on the menu. Plus her mom and sis and DIL will come loaded with more food. T always says "don't bring anything!" but this time I'll bring a jar of garlic stuffed olives and a container of baby tomatoes. If no one eats them, I'll leave them there for T.
It's chilly here this morning, mid 40's F. The heater came on. Tomatoes will be in suspended animation for a while.
Reminder - Weekly Check-In is tomorrow for those of you participating.
Have a super day!😁

I have also gotten compliments from others and said as is the house has good curb appeal. It will cheaper for me to maintain or pay to have the windows maintained than to get new windows. I do want to get basement windows done because they open but no screens and no way hard to get fresh air into basement except in no bug and not too cold season. I also want more secure windows.
I do believe a home should be what works for you. When you go to sell a home I understand that is a time you stage a home and their is a big difference.
I am finding clearing and cleaning the garage is helping me making the space work better for me. I purposely did not do much before the installers came. Turns out because of the rain they needed to set up their equipment in the garage so saw dust everywhere in there. There was a good two year worth of dirt from the last clean too so I am only cleaning out a small space at a time. I have created a great place to do my potting of plants that I did not have before. It is also nice to finally have the window properly framed. The window was it but inside was never finished. Small thing but just make the space nicer. When finished I will include a picture!
I had this project done because some of the windows had such bad wood rot that I feared I would have even more headaches and expense. That was another reason I got so upset when that salesman showed up. They were going to replace one of the windows that I was worried about that morning. So I was already not in a good place. As I said I got good news no major underlying damage!

Ugg! Cookie Monster has entered the chat! SO I've been rolling along for about 8 weeks doing about 1500 calories and 40-50 minutes of actual walking. I've been doing great, lost 16 pounds! But now my body has decided that I'm not eating enough and a breakfast that was perfectly acceptable a week ago isn't anymore. I'm getting fiber, but I suppose it's not enough? If anyone has any ideas to hush a grumbling belly I'd love to hear them. This is why I wanted to try GLP-1s, but since I've been loosing weight I doubt I have a use case.
Also does anyone have any idea how long this hungry stage lasts? or will it be my new miserable normal? I want to loose the weight because I don't want type2 diabetes. I also want to be able to move more easily and get back to cross country skiing. Frame of reference, I'm 5'7" and started at 221#
5 -
Autumn - welcome! You've been doing a great job! Are you eating plenty of protein? That helps tame the hungries for me. I aim to get 25-30 gm per meal which usually lasts but if not, a small handful of walnuts or mixed nuts does the trick and from what I've read, nuts are a natural source of GLP-1.
I was getting over 110 gm of protein a day and my doc advised cutting back to under 100 gm based on my latest lab work. So I've cut out the protein shake I was having before bed.
I know what it's like to be hungry and decided I'm done with that. If you can eat eggs, seafood, and some meat the hungries might go away. Also, sugar and starchy carbs are triggers for some folks.
Good luck!

I would look in MFP for something similar and simply use those numbers. If I feel very ambitious, I look up the weight/amount of each item, add that up, then divide what a serving would be. I found this in MFP. You’d be surprised at what they have in their database!
When using this, for homemade, I simply take the highest calories so about 230 cal per cup if homemade. I just depend on what the stew looks like. Creamier=higher calories. Home made, for me, always do the higher calories the way my DH makes stews and soups.

I need to work today, but I feel better. I must have ate something bad. I think it was that Harry Potter Popcorn, so I threw it all out.
Lucy is full of vinegar this morning. She found a way to climb on the bed, through a gate and some heavy items holding it (temporary) and woke us up with her love nips and tongue! Rude awakening! She hasn’t stopped yet. She is now terrorizing our 13 year old Shi-Tzu who doesn’t hurt her but lets her know when she gets too annoying. She hides then attacks Wicket. It’s funny.
Temp got up to 116 yesterday for a while. First time I saw that number! 112 is usually the high.
Thought for Today:
I was in a grocery store when a man started to throw cheese, butter and yogurt at me!

HI!!!!
First I will say thank you to you all! I needed to catch up. I tried sitting down to do it yesterday, but kept falling asleep! NOT because I was bored, but if I sit still for too long doing anything I fall asleep! Funny thing is I didn't have that problem before they put me on a CPAP machine. Crazy! Anyway, I currently have almost 20K steps as I was walking outside while I read from page 4 to current! Fresh air and exercise ! Was really hungry when done though.
Kim- I am so glad you are recovering and receiving the help you need. Thankful that you entrusted Lisa to keep us updated on the situation.
Annie- YAY!! We are glad to see you! I once used dawn and a brillo pad to get built up gunk off of the back of a wood chair. It got it down to wood quickly! I probably ought to do something about that, but am wanting new chairs for that table anyway ;)
Hi to the new ladies! I tend to phase in and out depending on what time of year it is. My name is Kylia (kila). I am 62 yo. I am the mother of two adult daughters and grandmother to 4 (3 teenagers and one adult). My current DH is my second. He is legally blind though most people don't realize it as he gets around really well. He and his sister own a lawnmower sales and service business that I have been employed at since 1998. We have been together since 1994 when I worked at a restaurant and a flower shop. We will have been married 16yrs the end of August. In that time period, I have been 93 lbs…151lbs…115lbs..140lbs…plateaued at 130lbs for over a year….then finally hit 120 where I bounced plus or minus a few pounds for a year. Then in January this year, I gave up nicotine. I have not yet given up vaping, but it is nicotine free. I quickly…and I mean QUICKLY gained weight! Many tears and lots of support from these wonderful ladies has kept me nicotine free in spite of none of my clothes fitting! Currently at 140lbs give or take. I know what to do, just have to remember that small bites count! Like Barbie and her fence. A little bit adds up. Oh, I am 5'2". I have two cats, Cali and Tory. They are sisters and just over a year old. I enjoy cars, guns, reading, and cross stitch. I enjoy hiking, but with DH's sight, I tend to just walk the house or driveway. I always loved dancing, but that is now just something I do if the mood strikes me when getting ready in the morning. Work is the biggest chunk of time (50-60 hours a week). Weekends are generally car shows or the farm house in Kentucky. My favorite de-stressors are either riding in my Miata with the top down and music blaring or curling up quietly with a purring cat resting with me. Thank you for bringing your insights to our "family".
I find it funny how some "habits" just naturally start flowing, while others continue to be a struggle. Examples…I empty the dishwasher every morning before I get our coffee. If I don't then the dishes pile up until I can't stand it. I don't know when my subconscious decided that worked best, but it has for almost a year now. Another would be laundry/bed stripping on Wednesdays. Not sure why that one sticks, but it has for about a year as well. I can be flexible with them, but then everything feels weird. Yet I can't seem to wash my face 2 times a day for longer than about 4 weeks. I walked at minimum 15 mins a day for 2 or 3 months, then just stopped. My DH says 15 mins is better than nothing. I am not sure what the difference is that makes some things stick and not others. I have been doing pretty well at dealing with paper junk as it comes in to the house to avoid hours of shredding, filing, and throwing away. Still not fine tuned, but much better. Really need to figure out systems for work to make that easier, but throw in the people factor and processes quickly get detoured. I often feel there are too many needs and not enough hours. Just random thoughts.
My sister says she is coming to see me in July! Well, she will be in the area and wants to touch base. I will take it!
I laughed, cried, cheered, and hugged each of you as I read. I will touch base again soon. Need to cut DH's hair and do some work work and some home bills.
Much love,
Kylia in Ohio thankful that most of the rain has come at night.

Lanette- I am not sure of the disc numbers, but my DH had lower back issues. Lots of compression. The Chiropractor has him walking backwards for 15 mins a day. Something to do with moving the spine differently than it is use to helps to "lubricate" things. We are almost always going forward. Being in the boot stopped DH from being able to do that exercise, and he felt it.
Just a thought.

😀 Michele, I used white vinegar sprayed on my vinyl fence. I searched the internet for an answer and found that. Several sites suggested various ratios of vinegar to water but I used straight vinegar and it worked great.
😀 Barbara, those sit to stand exercises sound like squats but not so hard on the knees. Do you live near US101. I thought of you as I drove on US101 from my house to the nearby towns.
😀 Margaret, I learned the lesson of doing something on a house for resale value when I had a failed double paned window replaced in a house in order to sell the house and when I saw how good it looked, I was so sorry that I hadn't done it for myself.
😀 Machka, I enjoyed reading your schedule. I think it helps to have a plan that includes hydration, feeding, exercise, and other important things so you don't get to the end of the day wondering what you've accomplished or waste time trying to decide what to do next.
😀 Annie, good planning. I have one meal a day that varies among a bunch of things I've figured out ahead of time. There is some variety but also lots of simplicity. Having four regular things to do each day is a good way to go.
😀 Michele, the reason I knew there was something not right about the vacuum was that there was nothing in the canister even with all the dog hair and dust than should have accumulated on the carpet.
😀 Just home now from morning walk followed by fueling the car and picking up groceries from QFC. I listened to a podcast about rest and realized that my time with all of you is one of my favourite rest activities. Today I have weeds to pull, a Zoom call with a friend in another time zone, and a walk with a local friend. Annie is helping me put the laundry away by grabbing it and dropping it on the floor so I have to bend down pick it up and fold it again.

If your granddaughter would love it, have them find a space to store it for her. Once it is gone, it is gone and she will never get the chance to really enjoy that treasure. It could be packed up in a small box and labeled for her. Or, display it so you can continue to not only enjoy the beauty of it but also the memories that go with it. Be sure to tell her all those memories so she can inherit not only the dishes but the special memories of her great great grandmother.

Tammie and I did the flower shopping on Friday and my deck and Mommy's Garden are complete.
Starting from the left is the hanging pot of Fuchsia for Freddy's mom, BJ.
Then my Mommy Garden is RED Geraniums and Marigolds. Tammie painted the Welcome pot and that will have a solar fountain in it as soon as the glue dries in the drainage holes in the bottom. She used to have plants and flowers in there.
Petunias are for my Gram. She loved Petunias, Pansies and Violets.
And the Dragon Wing Begonias, Lantana and Lobelia are for ME! <3
I am SO happy. Can't wait for the BLOOMING to begin in full force!
Now the rain just has to come and wash away the dirt. hehehe...Love and Blessings

Lanette – my nephew lives almost 2.5 hours each way from my mom, so no. But he and his girlfriend were down there this weekend. His girlfriend is a force of nature – reminds me of myself sometimes and yet because she still in her 20’s she gets all the delivery services and stuff that I have yet to figure out. I know I can do them, but when Mom needs a $20 item it’s expensive for delivery. But Kass (girl friend) can just call it a 2nd home and get some deals. So she is working on all the big bulky shelf stable items and we will get them in a timed delivery. My useless brother also got a lecture about his selfishness. Mom loves English muffins, easy! Cheap! Light to carry! But he would not get them for her because she keeps them in the fridge and he thinks that is wrong. Listening to my nephew mimic his girlfriend (they were both on the phone with me) when she put his dad in his place was funny and spot on. She told him if English muffins were too much for him his *alls must have shriveled up and fallen off.
I haven’t really figured out the full answer to keeping her safe. But they made a dent this weekend. I have hired a driver to take me there for 4 hours on Friday this week, and I think part of the answer is a once a month cleaning service, to keep the place above a hovel. I am still really hoping for enough vision I can drive and maybe a cleaning service once a month and then me visiting once a month would/could be enough at least for a few months.
I was able to get gardening and harvesting done today, I have about 40 feet of olallieberry vines they are a cultivar that was made in Oregon years ago and doesn’t travel well so it is not out there in the “trade” but so wonderful. A cross of blackberry and youngberry. It is long and soft like a ripe blackberry with a shade of tartness. Easy to eat off the vine to bake into a pie, This year I am eating and freezing only.
I found that I can read for a few minutes at a time, if the print is large enough. I sat with a cup of decafe in the sun and read for a few minutes what a treat.

Barbie would you remind me what brand your stainless steel hose is? One of my lightweight, expandable, Grocery Outlet specials hoses burst this afternoon ;{ Yes we live about a mile inland from US101, and it is our one way out, either north or south. There are no through roads from where we live going east, and the ocean is west. ;).
Lanette, long ago I gave Joe a “welcome mat” that said “LEAVE.” ;)
Margaret your home looks lovely! As does Carla’s mommy garden and Allie’s sleeping porch.
Welcome @AutumnDraidean ! Like Lanette, protein is my best defense against the hungries. A cup of bone broth is only 45 calories for 10 grams of protein. Good luck!
Has anyone had any experience with Reclast infusions for osteoporosis? Michele, is that the same as your Prolia? How long does the infusion last? Does it hurt? Any side effects? Thanks all!
Kylia, are you scheduled for something eye related the 17th? Or was that last year?
Kim rejoicing at your progress. ((hugs))
Later, lighter, lovelies!

Rebecca – happy birthday!
We had the pork chops last night, I totally forgot to put out the coleslaw. Oh well...we’ll eat it
Annie – I’m so sorry to hear about your dad’s trials at the Y. It’s good that he has the senior center for socialization. I know the one senior center around here has exercise classes. I sold a lot of MIL’s china to Replacements. How great is it that DIL wants that set?
Lisa – figuring out 10% shouldn’t be that difficult. You just move the decimal point one place to the left. That’ll give you 10%, add that amount to the total and you have the price. Happy Birthday Corey!
Rita – “How dairy”….ROTF
Kylia – how great is it that your sister is coming?
Barbie – I’ve never heard of using white vinegar on vinyl!!! Does it kill the mold?
Barbara – I used to take Reclast before the Prolia. I didn’t have any side effects. I guess it took about ½ hour to do and, no, it didn’t hurt any more than when they stick you for a blood sample.
Got most of the side panels done for the tissue holder for my friend. Now to just fill in the white and put it together. Oh, and put the eye on two of them.
Went to Lowe’s hardware I talked Vince into going. Even tho there wasn’t a rush to get the pool salt, I pointed out that at least we’d have it when we needed it.
Took a short walk around the block before going to the store.
Now for a shower and bed.

Hello all, been awake since 7 am and its after 10 pm,I love it up here,Sean and I up on the screened in porch..will have to turn his TV off i can't sleep with it on.

Machka - you have such a well laid out day.I find with projects and stuff I do better if I do one at a time, maximum two. I used to try to do a lot at once but I can’t do it anymore.
Heather - So happy for you that your DIL chose the tea set.
Lisa - I think I need to take some lessons in budgeting from you. I’ve quit doing a big grocery run for the most part because I found too much was being wasted. I just go and get the staples and pick up the stuff for meals on the way home from work.
This week though I have to use up some meat in the freezer.
I love country music. It’s all I listen to.Our anniversary meal out cost us $62 all told. He had steak with sizzling mushrooms, and the garden salad, I had a rib taster (4 ribs), baked potato and cornbread.
Lanette - I’ll try to get photos of my little calendars as I get them done. It’s something to keep me occupied in the evenings.
I’m looking for a second Naomi Judd autobiography written in 2016, it’s called “River in Time: My descent into depression and How I Emerged With Hope”.
Have a great barbecue and visit.Margaret - your home is lovely. I am glad you are keeping it your own and now worrying about the resale value.
Kylia - how lovely to see you. I agree about the habits thing.I have read that walking backwards and sideways both help with balance and keeping our brains engaged too. I’ll used to do Leslie Sansone videos, I need to do that again. The city I live in has had too many women attacked lately for me to go walking outside on my own.
Carla - wonderful flowers. Your porch looks so peaceful.
Allie - Is that a screened in porch you’re sleeping in? I can almost smell that picture and I’m so jealous! Enjoy every minute.
Kim - I think your nephew’s girlfriend is a great addition to your family.
Glad you were able to read for a bit.Debbie - if you were logging a specific meal, like dinner, it is across the top bar, called My Recipes, you can create new in there. I use an iPhone.
I took my nephew up on his offer of driving his car today. It’s a standard transmission and I haven’t driven one in years. I had so much fun!!!It’s a Honda Civic and has all the bells and whistles. So many sensors! The current speed limit where you are shows on the dash right beside your speed. If you go too much over it starts flashing at you. (I only went 10km/hr over)If you have one hand holding the stick shift and not both hands on the wheel where they should be it also flashes a warning at you.
As fun as I found all of that, I bet that somehow or other it’s all being stored data somewhere and could be used against you in the event of an accident.Lauryn and Michaela joined me on my little trip. We went to a neighbouring town that has a Canadian department store. I bought a shirt and a camisole. Then we came back to Michael’s where I found a little lantern for the new flowerbed Rodger put together this morning. It’s been a few years in the making.
Then to Walmart for some plants and soil.I had a barbecue for supper, little potatoes, corn on the cob, sliced cucumbers and burgers. Michaela convinced me we needed cupcakes for dessert because it was Father’s Day.
She learned to make a paracord bracelet for her Dad at school this week. Her Mom bought her stuff so she could make more, so she made one for Rodger for Father’s Day too.
I should head to bed I guess.
Tracey in Edmonton11 -
Tracey - Your day sounds like the perfect fun time. Spending time with those you love. Michaela is really growing up.
I had a feeling DDIL might like the set. For her 40th, she asked me to buy her a teapot for a present, that she keeps on display in the kitchen. It is a very elaborate design, in vivid colours. She also has a few new mugs in similar porcelain, in bright and gold oriental designs. I hope she displays the set. It does go with their kitchen colours! I've found a place in my cupboards for the white set, and can see me offering my real hot chocolate to guests in them, or an after dinner infusion. The big tureens will have to go though.
I have more stuff I'm washing and sorting through. Some is for the charity shop, but I have a lovely dressing table set from my grandmother, that I used myself for decades in previous houses. I will post a photo. I really like it, and remember it in her bedroom, but it doesn't go with my colours, and I have nowhere to put it. I like to live as minimalist life as possible, so need to shed the stuff that is not appropriate for my current 'season of life'. I don't like to be weighed down with 'things'. Especially those I don't use, or I have no space for, for them to shine as they should. I will probably put it on FB Marketplace. This style is just beginning to come back into fashion with young people, but I am into shedding anything that doesn't bring me peace. A quiet house brings me a quiet mind.
Kim - Big hugs to you. 💖 Kintsugi. 😍

One of the wonderful things in my life now is that Saturday mornings I was walking in a nearby state forest with my dad and my friend. My foot is injured so my Dad went with my friend and I did some meditation in the car. Then we go to my friend's house where his wife bakes a treat to go with coffee. Then we sit and listen to music. A lovely relaxing morning.
Hmm. Vacuuming. I learned to hate it when they used to raise huge choking clouds of dust. I have the vacuum sitting outside my bedroom door just in case I get the urge. But it's been there for months. I haven't tried the railing yet either. My foot is the best excuse I've had in ages. Lol!
I had a few moments of thinking about programming again. I would love to learn to write for phones. But that would be a lot like work, and involve a boss and deadlines and crap. Maybe I should just get a certification in something just in case. Just to keep my head active.
@Anniesquats100 … I'm glad you're having relaxing Saturday mornings.
Sounds like you might need a new vacuum cleaner! They're not meant to blow dust out!
How are you with data analyses, SQL programming, web development, cloud computing and/or cybersecurity? Those areas individually or in combination with each other are popular.
What language(s) do you program in?
@SophieRosieMom … my husband and I learned a lot of those exercises in our Pilates class. When we get our gym set up, I'll be able to do more of them again.
I love Camellias! I don't recall seeing them where I lived in Canada, so the first time I encountered them was in Australia. They bloom in winter when few other flowers bloom and brighten everything up. At our previous place, there were two. The light pink one would scatter petals around when there was a wind so that one section of our lawn was often covered in pink.
Our new place does not have a Camellia, nor is there one around the immediate area and I really miss them!
I want to bring one into our yard, but I don't have a lot of room, so I might have a look for a dwarf variety.
@GodMomKim … ((hugs)). Prayers for continued healing. I'm so glad you've had lots of help.
And to the card-makers here … you do a beautiful job!!
