Today was get the packing out of my nose day…. And I was hoping for it to be so much better than it was so today was a bit of a cry, feel a bit sorry for myself day, but I am pulling up my big girl panties and reminding myself how much I have. Tomorrow is a in person counseling appointment and a video call with the surgeon. Then Friday I have a friend’s adult child driving me down to take my mom to lunch. She is really worried and concerned about the situation and feels it is so unfair that in her older years her children are unable to take care of her.
The unpacked nose has gotten rid of the musty flavor everything had. Hip hip hooray, sugar still is tastless mush - hip hip hooray! It turns out that all of the packing could not be removed because some had broken down too much so for the next 8 weeks I have to flush my nose twice a day, something I have never done. And had no plans to do – but plans have just changed! I am very easily grossed out and always have know that a job in the medical world would NEVER be filled by me. But I will face this grossness and overcome!
The best news is that I have lost 9 lbs and not missed the food at all. So will be trying to keep all the good habits I have made in the last 16 days.
I am being a bit me focused, but
Yogi, Pip, and Kirby – sending all the virtual hugs and love to you as I can.

Heather - Thanks for taking me into a story about your grandmother and your relationship with her. It’s certainly a different outlook most times when looking back as an adult.
I love those sundae bowls.Pip - I’m sorry you had to make that decision. Hugs to you and Kirby.
Annie - My first thought was “why wouldn’t Annie phone her” 😂😂😂
Hopefully she remembers where it is.
Good job on the loss.Lisa - What an absolutely beautiful lap blanket. That Corey sure is wonderful!
I’m so happy to read of your good medical news you sure can use more of that.Lanette - I remember bench seats and rolled down windows. My grandfather used to sit my brother or I on the armrest and talk to us while he was driving. He would tell us driving tips, how to react to wildlife on the road, etc. I would have told you that none of that rambling stuck but when I came around a corner and saw a moose years later, I realized it indeed had.
Barbara - I saw that chef Anne passed. So young.
Barbie - I can’t imagine eating a $437 meal.
Sue - I bet the goats are fun to watch when they’re not causing trouble.
Kim - I couldn’t do direct care either. You’re handling this well.
It’s late so I’m heading to bed again. I will try to catch up Friday evening. Tomorrow night is ceramics.

dh had an issue with his doctor who didn't believe him when he went in because he thought his knees were bad. Thought he just wanted to get off work. Sent him to pych- first then PT, he wouldn't refer to ortho. I had a daycare parent who happened to work in ortho so she got him an appt. At first that dr didn't believe him but as he was starting to send him for xrays of his knees, he noticed the way he walked- said to have his hips xrayed too. Boy did he talk to him different when the results were in- He needed both hips replaced at 48yrs old-
I had a doctor do a double take when she ordered my first cholesterol test back when I was in my late 20's, weighed 98 lbs but my numbers were really high- she ran them a second time. Heritity on dad's side for that one

Debbie - One of the skinniest people I have ever known, had sky-high familial chloresterol. This was back in the 70s. I'd never heard of it before. My DSIL has raised chloresterol, and she is v fit and slim. Now, as a consequence of the medication she thinks, she has raised blood sugar. Trying to get that down by diet. (Pre-diabetes classes) I believe my UTIs are a genetic curse. 😕 I'm OK at the moment and using my estradiol pessaries. Down to twice a week.
I've put my Goss china on FM. And my Silver Jubilee mug. I thought it was worth nothing, but I see it on Etsy for various sums. I bought it from the Observer newspaper in 1977. It has all the prime ministers from Elizabeth ll's reign. So we shall see if we get any hits.
Another hot day. Not my favourite weather.

Good morning my friends!
Well my lime salad dressing recipe needs more work.
Dad was upset about losing his favorite picture of Mom. My sister is sending a duplicate, but he is kicking himself for losing it. So I took him out for ice cream, and blew my diet. I need to find a way to cheer him up that isn't food.
My friend did come get her phone back. Yay!
I'm going out to lunch today. Fun!
Lisa that blanket is adorable! What a wonderful DH! And sounds like an excellent visit to the gastro. So much better than years ago. Yay!
Rita knowing the reason for your DH's anger helps, but it still hurts. Meditation can help a person to find a bit of distance. My Dad is constantly rude, due to hearing and memory loss.
Heather I love the look of the uncut garden! And great news about selling the Gods china.
Barbie I had a rabbit who chewed through the water line to the ice maker behind my refrigerator while I was out of town. Such a wet mess!
Allie glad you are home safe! Is the kidney biopsy just to check or is something wrong?
Pip and Kirby so sad for Yogi. He had a wonderful life full of fun and love. Wishing him a peaceful transition. Many hugs for you.
Debbie hugs for you, your sister and your MIL. Hope a better situation is found.
Sue I have degradation of my lumbar spine. Just getting off a horse could damage my back. It would be a precaution to quit riding, but I am scared of years of back pain.
Lanette LOL at herding chickens with the leaf blower! Sounds like a fabulous idea!
Kim sorry you were disappointed with your results. Hope it continues to improve. But losing nine pounds is marvelous!
May you all be happy, healthy, safe and free!

Hi!
Eye surgery was successful and easy! It is nice to not be seeing double anymore. I could have gone back to work afterwards but went home! 😉
Have I mentioned how thankful I am for our whole home generator! Storm watches last night. I saw the winds picking up wickedly in the front. I barely got the hanging baskets and hummingbird feeders down before the skies opened up. It was WICKED! We lost power at 730pm. The ETA to restore is currently 9am tomorrow. I finished laundry last night, watched some TV, and slept comfortably. Yes, it is noisy, but one of my top blessings this week. Also glad that I stopped at grocery on the way home otherwise I would have been caught out in it.
((Pip)) One of the hardest decisions we have to make as a pet parent.
Kim-Healing thoughts continuing your way as well. You are allowed to concentrate on you!
Mo- I quit smoking over 10 yrs ago. I started vaping then. Slowly I knocked down the nicotine level in that until I was at the lowest for the past 3-4 years. In January, I gave up the nicotine totally. The goal is to quit vaping, but I can only do so much at a time. I will say that vaping is less. I am letting that part run it's course as I reach for it less and don't panic when not in hand. In the meantime, I need to concentrate on weight. 140 is 20 lbs too much on my tiny 5'2" frame. Your patients are so lucky to have you!
DH in with chiro so had a few quiet moments. Oh, realized why I watch little TV. I get interested in something but tend to miss important parts of it. Last night it was the storms, then the switch to generator, then DH needing something. I still don't know ehat the final results were of two shows- good thing they aren't that important-lol!
Time to head to work.
Hugs because everyone needs them!
Love to all,
Kylia in Ohio

Kim, dear - Trying not to imagine you unpacking your nose… many virtual backpats for that and the nasal washes to come. Well done on the weight loss, not the way we want to lose weight, but understandable…
Debbie - My ex-husband had a heart attack at 47, most of the men in the male line of his family died from heart attacks quite young. My ex didn't smoke, drink or do anything else that could be construed as interesting, and was reasonably athletic. Purely genetic. They put in a couple of arterial stents to get his completely clogged plumbing around his heart open while he was in the hospital.
It's already 72 degrees (22c) and going up fast, time for me to get outside and see what I can accomplish…
Love y'all,

we received a text yesterday at 9pm from the vet that will help yogi transition , we had already fell asleep so I didn’t see it. . She said she had an opening for today at 11am. Talked to Kirby and we will do it today. Perfect time because we will be able to take him for his last walk. Last night I caught him in the bathroom. They will usually go somewhere to be alone when they are in pain.

⭐️ Gold star to me. I finished washing the fence yesterday. It looks great. I think the fence was built in 2018. I washed it once before with soapy water and now this time, so I probably won't have to do it again for awhile.
❤️ Kim, after surgery is the perfect time to put yourself first. You have worked hard and cared for others for so long, now it's your turn to be #1.
❤️ Kylia, glad you had good results from your surgery. Good choice to not go back to work after the surgery. It's someone else's turn to step up and do the work while you rest.
😀 I had to visit the computer repair guy again yesterday. I was not his only customer so I got watch how patient he was with others. He didn't charge me but I put more money in his tip jar. I think we figured out that the problem was that the computer was being used only for Zoom meetings so when I turned on the computer in the morning, it immediately wanted to update and somehow the camera got affected by the update. First I decided that I'd use the computer more and then I figured out that Jake had never set the setting that said how long the power should stay on if you're not using it so I adjusted those meaning that I can turn the computer on ahead of the Zoom meeting and have it on for awhile to give the computer time for its updates. I have it on now playing the play list from You Tube that I usually play on the TV in the morning.
😀 Lanette, thanks for the suggestion about using the leaf blower on the blades of the lawn mower. With all our dry weather here, I haven't had to cut the grass in about three weeks but rain is forecast so the time will come.
😀 Debbie, when I was first diagnosed with low bone density it was on a routine scan when I was 65. The medical professional was astonished by my results because I was doing everything right (she said I should have been a poster girl for good bone health). I danced, walked, lifted weights, and ate a diet rich in Calcium and Vitamin D. It was clearly based on heredity. I remembered that my mother and my paternal grandmother had broken hips in their senior years so it wasn't surprising, It doesn't help to be angry with one's ancestors, I just had to take the medicine.
❤️ Rita, I'm sorry you have to deal with your husband's moods. You probably know that prayer, meditation, and the Twelve Steps are the solution for you but they aren't easy. Now that I am alone, I'm realizing how much physical and emotional energy it took me to deal with his needs and still take care of myself. Your dog is so darling. You are so fortunate to have found her.
😀 Heather, your finding the ice cream dishes reminded me of Gretchen Rubin's writings about lovers of abundance and lovers of simplicity. You love an abundance of beautiful things and I am working daily to simplify. It also reminds me of what Marie Kondo says about something bringing joy.
😀 Tracey, I started reading books on my Kindle app when I was recovering from a back injury that required that I stay lying down in bed nearly all the time for a month. The Kindle app allowed me to read when Jake was napping with me and the lights were off. Now I read both depending whether the lights are on or off. If I can't sleep at night, I read on my phone with the lights off so I don't confuse the dogs.

Oh Pip, I am so very, very sorry for you and Kirby and your other pups. I can only imagine what you're going through. We've all lost our furbabies and we all feel like Yogi is one of ours. Sending big (((hugs))) and love.
Darnit Debbie... that's so sad for your sister.
Good luck to you Kim. We're praying for your continued journey. You got this!

PIP There are no words for losing a fur baby, especially when we have had them since puppyhood. They are like children to us. My depression from losing my Brownie last month was bad enough for my un-observant husband to notice. That's why I now have Lucy. Just know that you gave Yogi the best life. I'm so sorry.

I didn't end up going to the movies. IDK why not, just didn't go. When I went to my psych, she told me that I couldn't have picked a better time to get the puppy. She is forcing me to walk more and focus on training her. It definitely is helping with my mood and dealing with DH. No answer from my NP about the meds.

John had a bad night last night. I'm not sure that he is using all the resources that are available, but 'you can take a horse to water .....' 🙄
He bought us strawberries and double cream on his walk this afternoon, so I'm looking forward to that for dessert. They are local, organic strawberries. He couldn't find the easy curry sauce I like on his shopping trip this morning, so I made it from scratch after lunch. Obviously, much better! I will heat up frozen artichoke, broad beans, and spinach in it, with hard boiled eggs.
Barbie - I am very much a minimalist. My house is very tidy and has only a few curated items on show. I don't display photos, or many pictures. I'm throwing out everything that doesn't serve me, or isn't very pleasing to me. The sundae dishes will be very useful, as we have ice cream every time the girls come over, and they will love them. I live more simply than anyone I know, and that includes obligations and maintenance tasks. I have no pets, or anything I need to take care of. I do not like anything that dictates my time, or my preferences.
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx

My dinner with my neighbor friend was fun, going to a local family style restaurant here in Oak Harbor. I was a bit worried about going to the Asian Buffet with all the pans of fried foods, and pans of food in heavy sauces. So at the family restaurant I ordered a skewered shrimp meal with baked potato. I took half of the bare baked potato and put in the takeaway box, along with one of the skewers. Each had 4 shrimp on them. I had a salad with cherry tomatoes and ordered ranch on the side. I was really content with my half of baked potato, a spoonful of sour cream, 4 shrimp and salad. We had tea, and coffee at home here, chatting more.
Today is #6 dose day! I am having a nice turkey wrap for lunch, and the restaurant leftovers for dinner. A repeat performance of last nice with some raw yellow bell peppers. I like the red ones better.
Current stats:

16.2 lbs lost. I am ecstatic. Its been working really hard at this though.
On this photo, you can see I use the note section to log my liquids. Its really been good to pace myself, not drinking too much toward evening, so I am up all night. Plus its nice to check them off.
Hugs to you all, especially Pip and Kirby

Mo that 60th bday celebration with your bestie sounds just perfect. Stick to your guns and make sure your DH knows this is a girls only trip. ((hugs))
Heather does your rambling rose have a scent? The ones that grow around our post office have the most marvelous, cinnamon/spicy aroma. Love them. “… the uncut version”… rotflmao!
Annie I’m with you for choosing my battles and not challenging my “resistance muscles” too often or strongly. I have better success when I set myself up with the fewest temptations ;} Does the BBQ place offer appetizers rather than full sized entrees? Like you, I simply aim for clean and covered when away from home ;} is your Vitamin D D3? With K2? It never makes me jittery, but sometimes my Niacinimide (skin cancer preventative) does. So sorry to hear the reason why you’re giving up the horseback riding, you love. Are you in much pain? Have you had any PT? Meanwhile, does group leading and its administrative task give you joy, like Heather said? If not, then keep thinking… ;} and trying new ideas. Chair yoga. Bird watching. Chorale singing. Whatever your senior center offers. Good luck!
Pip ((hugs held extra extra extra long))
Lisa I’m misting up at Corey’s anniversary gift. What a guy! Fingers Xd for favorable MRI results, and if PT is needful, quick appointment availability. It’s a real thing here.
Lanette, my hand is UP! So thankful for a/c and electric windows. The backup camera in my car has saved me countless times and I wouldn’t be without it. Cruise control is my friend. I’ve seen those ”your current speed is” displays on the windshield and I do NOT like them. Likewise any flashing, beeping, getting-too-close on either side alarms while driving would be startling, distracting and dangerous. Just me. Thanks for the caution not to take calcium within 2 hrs of Strontium, will have to adjust my supplement schedule. “mowed dandelions” LOL, you must have been channeling Joe. ;)
Rita ((hugs)) Brava for taking a walk to de-stress from your DH’s outbursts. ((hugs))
Barbie hope the Sasha memory was sweet. Duct tape? LOL! I use two sided tape instead of hemming the sleeves on one of the blazers I wear to church. Ssshhh! Thanks for your comments about the genetic component of osteoporosis. I may just have to pull up my big girl panties and just take the medicine…
Allie how will Sean get to and from work now that you’re gone? Prayers for favorable bloodwork and painless kidney biopspy. ((hugs)) to Doris.
Debbie so sorry about your sister. Imho her moving to your mom’s might not be good for your mom. No insurance? Does she qualify for MediCAL? ((hugs))
Sue what kinds of trees are your goats eating from?
Michele, yes Chef Anne was the Worst Cooks in America boot camp teacher. I enjoyed her too.
Kim so sorry about the packing, and your mother’s “so unfair (to me) response to your situation. I’m with you in the easily grossed out corner, except when it comes to my dogs. ;} How positive of you to see the 9lbs and tastelessness of sugar as positive outcomes from such a trying time. ((very gentle hugs))
Tracey my Papa used to hold me on his lap as he drove to church. He’d put my hands on the wheel and pretend I was steering. Thanks for triggering that precious memory.
Kylia rejoicing at your successful surgery.
The fountain of youth:
The follow up appointment with Dr last week was to get results of breast ultrasound and DEXA scan, since the office postponed my annual June 17 til mid-September and I didn’t want to wait that long for results. Breast ultrasound shows that what they think is a lymph node changed from 1.2 x 0.7 to 1.3 x 0.6 , virtually unchanged. Dr. said I could have it biopsied if I wanted but he didni’t recommend as it’s so small they might not be able to find it. I’ll pass. When he asked about activity I told him about Coach Ken moving away, not liking the Classic Fit class with its emphasis on muscle groups instead of balance and planning to let my gym membership expire. He was NOT happy. He then said something about studies showing the only fountain of youth is muscle mass. When I said I struggled to get in 60g daily of protein, he responded with “that’s the very bare minimum” and suggested whey protein isolate, creatine and acetyl l-carnitine to help build lean muscle. I’m trying to avoid ultra-processed foods (like protein isolates) so “beefing” up protein intake with bone broth, fat free yoghurt, lowfat cottage cheese, and at least twice weekly chicken and red meat. Gotta make some devilled egs too. Started acetyl l-carnitine yesterday. Creatine hasn’t arrived yet. My exercise plan is to do the BB&B routine I recorded Thursdays and Saturdays, keep line dancing Mondays and Wednesdays, and add Chair Yoga on Tuesdays. If I do that for a month, I’ll reward myself with a smart scale that measures muscle mass…
Then as we were finishing up, he said “Barbara, you haven’t aged a bit since I first met you.” That was in 2018 so I felt pretty good all in all ;)
Later, lighter, lovelies!

got my test results all back- she did 7 tests. LDL is 178 so high but not terrible. A1C is still 5.8 so pre-diabetic still. Now I wait for the doctor to call in the prescription.
Dh got the call this morning that they have transitioned his mom from comfort care hospice to death hospice. He is having a hard time figuring out how he feels about all of it. Main thing is he feels sorry for himself for all the things that he never got resolved with her. The hard part is that he is the last of his family. He does have a couple cousins in Japan but no contact with them really because of the way she talked to them and a second cousin back in NY but he has seen her once 50 yrs ago.
It is a strange place to be ok with her passing because finally all the stress and bitterness will be gone
This has been really hard on him-the stress from taking care of her when she has been so hateful. He has been suicidal for the past 5 yrs because of having take care of her being treated so bad. He lost 25lbs in the last 6 months because of it. It has been really bad on his health- He is diabetic, high blood pressure, etc.
Son hasn't gone to see MIL and that bothers dh but that is up to son. MIL was good to son until he started getting older, she hated his girlfriend and told us she was never allowed in her house. Didn't understand why he was always with her(they have been together over 7yrs)Haven't heard anything more about my sister- waiting to hear back from my nephew.
Have Ezie today so will do a few projects with her plus have her go pick raspberries to go with her lunch

Good Morning, ladies.
Lisa, I love Corey. You have a gem of a husband.
Allie, are you only staying one night in N.H.? I'm happy that you're going on vacation. I am glad you got a good night's rest. Delia is so pretty, and I can see golden highlights in her hair in the last pic. Since I am not a grandma yet, I can enjoy yours from afar. My kids are not ready for that huge responsibility, and I am not pushing them on it.
Welcome, Ann, to our tribe. Now that my hip doesn't hurt, I will start being good right alongside you. I have been mindful of what I eat, and my job keeps me walking and sometimes running. I do need my exercise for my mental health and to strengthen my arms.
Barbie, with your fence, doing it section by section is the best way to get it done. FIL used to say when he was alive," A thousand blows fell the oak".
Heather, I love all of the sets. I bet your grandchildren feel special to have them. Did🤔 John experience night terrors when you slept together? Or is all of this new?
I wrote this post yesterday, but I was too tired to post it. So many calls stopped me from actually resting. DS called me to tell me that they are having trouble depositing their money. I asked if he had called the bank, and he replied that he hadn't. I told him that it was 3 pm and that he should be calling the person he needed to troubleshoot. He called back and asked for his account number. "I don't know🤷♀️," I told him, "he needs to look in his bank app. Finally, he got that, then he called the bursar's office, which closed early. I told DS that I would loan him $150.00 until it was straightened out. He agreed, and he called again to discuss his job and the issues he was facing. I told him I would look it up later. He told me that he would do it; he just needed to vent. DS is so bright, but common sense is promised to no one. I told him that I was emotionally and physically tired. Then the phone died. I was thankful. I slept well last night. I told DH that I would not be able to talk because I was tired. My tummy is hurting because I need to take my Linzess, which I finally got to pick up. I will bring MOM too. I'm doing okay with weight loss; my scrubs are huge on me. I need to buy more in a smaller size. I will start with one.
Pip and Kirby, I have no words. Saying goodbye to our fur babies is devastating. What is even worse is watching them suffer. I am sending you both tight hugs and positive vibes to Yogi as he crosses the rainbow.
XO,
Mo in Mississippi

I am very behind and hope everyone is well. I began reading on June 17.
PIPCD: My sympathy to you and your family that the time for Yogi's transition has arrived. When my 1st poodle transitioned I spent an evening online with a group from the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement. This helped me tremendously. It is very sad.
Debbie: I am sorry your sister is so ill. I hope she qualifies for Medicaid and can get into a nursing home. Even if just for short term stay. This is the responsibility of her children in my opinion. Between your Mom and your husband, to me you seem quite busy as it is. My mother received some PT and OT in her nursing home. Not as much as in rehab but enough.
Annie: I take Prolia for osteoporosis that is now osteopenia! So an improvement. I would probably consider stopping the horseback riding as well. Discouraging as this is. I became much more careful about getting on ladders, having lower heels and rubber soles. Such a cycle if a fracture doesn't heal and then pain meds are prescribed. And the pain meds can cause an entire new set of problems. I am also joining a writing group. I plan to attend a meeting next month. I tried one group already, but they were published and too advanced!
Heather: Cooked apricots sound heavenly! Would John try the CALM app if you did it together as a couple. I tried not to renew this app but missed it sooo much. This app has worked great for me! I look forward to going to sleep!
Machka: I do try and make some spin classes! Mainly I love the music and appreciate the effort the instructors put forth in creating a sound track! And of course the cycling is fun!
Margaret Turk: Thank you for the tip about the electric lawn mower and the clippings!
Ann: Welcome!
Lisa: I can't believe people are watching you cut the grass. What is Mel Robbins new book titled? Let Them!!! I want to buy this book on audible but they are asking over 30.00 for an Audible book!! Seriously! people need to move on and get a life!
Evelyn: I have read that 4% of passings/deaths in Canada are now by MAID and there has been a national discussion there in past years about when this is appropriate. ALS patients sometimes use MAID. My husband passed from ALS.
Grandmallie: Wonderful pictures of your grandchildren! Enough to brighten the day of the most tired Grand Mom. They brighten my day!
RV Rita: I am aware of the long term impact of drinking/alcoholism on the liver. The liver damage and ammonia buildup caused by this is disturbing. I hope your DH will seek help. And maybe someone can tell you, how severe the damage is and what to expect so you can somewhat plan.
Barbie: I am working on all these small habits! I budget in my ice coffee from Starbucks/DD/Scooters/McDonalds now! I just today go a new battery for my pedometer. And I am reading 20 plus pages a day!
Kylia: Glad the eye sx went well!
Kim: Congrats on losing 9 lbs!
Staying busy! I am overwhelmed by the house and yard at times! Having the energy to keep this up is questionable. Especially if I want to do some form of activity outside the house 4 days a week. There always seems to be some issue that skews the week. This week I needed a plumber. My son and DIL helped me put sod down… so now this needs watering. My poodle, Casper, is still working on potty training!
I am trying to grow my social life and activities! But at the end of the day, I sometimes just miss my husband!
As we speak, my mother is touring an assisted living facility. My brothers are willing to have her leave the nursing home and try assisted living. She is a very lucky and loved woman. We will see how this goes!
Last night, I woke up at 3 am in the morning and looked at writing retreats along the coast in Italy. I crave seeing the coast and could skip Rome, Venice, Naples and Florence! I also don't want to tour much! I want to be settled and do art or write or do pottery or something 3 hours a day! I guess to get to the West Coast of Italy one flies into Naples. Oh well, I can dream! And I want to nap. I want to nap in Italy! Greece seems less expensive I noticed!
Best,
Rosemarie from GA

Ordered this for myself to hopefully strengthen my bones a bit- it was recommended by the xray tech.
This was on a great sale plus an added coupon code.2 -
Hey, kids,
Got back inside after about an hour of trimming. Couldn't figure out why Egg was following my every step, trying to sit on my feet, every time I moved. Shook her off long enough to take a shower and get dressed. Then I petted her and soothed her and got her off my toes long enough to finish putting my socks on, and started feeling a little wobbly, so I laid down just for a minute. Woke up two hours later.
Corey had called four times. I really hate worrying him, but I think I just pushed a little too hard up against my limitations. I know better than to set some arbitrary goal for myself, like trim until I get to a signpost. In my defense, it didn't seem like it was that far away! But I have to stop when I need to stop—and instead, I pushed past it.
Egg is no longer clinging like a cockleburr, so I assume I'm feeling better.
The gastro admin called just now and wanted to schedule an EGD. I told her no, I wanted a consult with the doctor to discuss. She said, "Well he says in his notes that he spoke to you about it after your colonoscopy," and I told her yes, for a few seconds, in passing, and little explanation. And his APRN never brought it up during my time with him yesterday. So I'm scheduled to talk to the doc in a month. Works for me. Won't do it without good justification.
Time to go fold clothes. Inside, where it's cool!
Later, my dears,
Love,
Lisa8 -
that sounds like my dad's family BUT many of the men also drank and smoked too much. Two died in their mid 40's I think- both from their second heart attacks. Out of 10 kids, only one aunt left and she has major heart problems. Dad had one heart attack, smoked in the past but quit years before the attack.
My other aunt died from cancer- in her mouth and jaw- still smoked until she died. Even had her husband hold the cigerette for her when she couldn't- I guess by that time, no use stopping.5 -
I just ordered this. Kirby doesn’t know I was able to squeeze the year of birth and passing on it.
it’s a solar light thing I will put in the front or back area. We also made a plaster print of his paw. I can’t wait to see the finished product. Generator still running strong. It is noisy, but that is a small price to pay! The cats are playing outside in the front yard while I read. Power company now saying Saturday at 9 am..…hope my propane holds up. It has only used 2% in past 12 hours.
Ginny said she was fine. She is less than an hour north of me. She never lost power.
Well..I have picked up branches from flower beds in front yard, refund hanging baskets, and enjoyed to light breeze for an hour. I should get inside, figure out dinner, and do some work.
Much love and many hugs from Kylia in Ohio

PIPCD34: I love Yogi's memorial! It will be a nice reminder of Yogi for years to come. I have a box with my first poodle's pictures with a poodle figurine glued to the top. We had Sport cremated. I could never get my son or husband to agree to a ceremony. In fact, they didn't want to mention Sport's passing at all. I released his ashes by myself. Family can be difficult! The cremation service rep told me the passing of pets was harder on many people than the passing of people. So happy that Yogi is able to eat and have good food and snacks! And play in the water! Such a good looking dog!
I have so much that should be done. I need to go room by room and make a plan for each room as to what it needs. Most of the rooms need paint, baseboards and wood repair. One thing ALS families often have in common is that the fancy, sophisticated wheel chair hits and dents the walls. I have a hole in a door and scraped wood. I don't know if wood glue will be enough.
Well at least the decluttering is to the point that I am beginning to think about repairing the damaged wood work.
Best,
Rosemarie from GA
