Its been a busy couple of weeks with company in town and spent my day off yesterday trying to get caught up on all the bedding and cleaning of the guest room and bathroom.
We also have a bit of a house project going on to repair the sophet on the house but we added a bigger overhang at the same time, so its been alot of construction noise. (which is hard when a person works from home!) The work week last week was insane and frustrating but that seems to be the norm.
JFT
I have a couple of interior doors to paint

I'm back, again. Didn't post JFT most of last week & not always logging food because not eating at home (Dad's cooking, funeral luncheon, outing to our old campground, restaurant this morning). My weight is slowly creeping up, so not the plan. I really want to get back on track for weight loss.
JFT Sunday 6/29 ~ Hot temps & humidity returning, but not to the point of heat advisory. That's a good thing.
- Church 9:00 😁
- Min. 5000 steps / OT exercises / PT exercises?
- Ate brunch with hubby at local cafe & I'm not going to log (again) / no snacks & sweets / 80 oz. water / net calories zero
- WA360 / print obit / balance bank accts / update budget s/s / reply to aunt / download 10K photos / put away clean laundry / read / digital declutter / other?

@cschmitz110515 glad to see you back! You've been mighty busy lately, but I know you'll get back on track.
The assisted living place that I want mom to go to has an opening August 1. So I asked my aunt to come in Sunday to help me talk to her about going. It was really good having her there, not only for her help but also so she could see how far mom has slipped as of late. Unfortunately, mom is having none of it. So my choices are to let her lie in the bed she has made or get her diagnosed as mentally incapable of making decisions and force the issue. Her sister and brothers agree that letting her live there until something happens and social services makes her move is the easiest path. Then it isn't me forcing the issue, but I'm concerned. I'm trying to get an appointment with the only local psychologist that does neuropsychological evaluations, but he is getting ready to retire. If I can't get in to him, it's a moot point because she won't travel to Morgantown or Columbus with me. It feels very "no win" right now. Hopefully if something happens it will be minor.
Otherwise, life is ok. Still not living the healthy life I deserve, but that's on me. Too much high calorie food/drinks and too little exercise. I haven't even been stocking my work fridge to make lunches. I just don't eat or I go get fast food. Neither is a good choice.

Late Post, forgot to hit submit…
Last day of the month. I had a goal weight for this month of 159 and today I am showing 158. Thats a good feeling and is motivating me to to keep going. My UGW is 150 so I am getting close. I did notice for the first time in a while my knees have finally stopped aching like they had been. Even when I was in the 160-170's I was having knee pain. That's pretty telling on how much even a little extra weight affects our joints. It was my knee issues that started me on this journey over a year ago when I weighed a hefty 212 lbs. Wake up call.
JFT
I have the day off today , hubby left this morning for Europe so I am running things at the farm solo this week. Its always a bit of anxiety inducing knowing that all things fall to me alone Ito deal with. I am sure everything will be fine.
Get caught up on some more things around the house today now that the construction on the roof/sophet is 95% done. We added an overhang as well which will help with keeping weather off the house and windows. We discovered the previous sophet was not vented on the west side of the house, only on the east side. No wonder we had issues.
I have 4 more doors I 'd like to finish painting but its not a fun task and apparently I am not a neat painter..
Hot day tomorrow.. sadly we didn't get the pool set up before the Europe trip and its not something I want to try to tackle myself. Low energy today and did sit in the back yard under the shady spots and read for a while and tried to make a plan for the 4th of July. I have friends that wants to kayak to the lake from the river and watch the fireworks show but it doesn't happen until 10:30 pm and I am not sure how I feel about kayaking in the dark.. that would be a new experience . Once the fireworks are over, then I have to paddle back up the river , get my kayak back in the truck and drive about 40 minutes to get home ..
I like to be home on the 4th in case the horses get spooked and as silly as it sounds I feel funny leaving my dogs late at night like that. The more I type it out here the less appealing its all sounding..

@HappyDonkey75 Congrats on hitting your weight goal at month end! That's got to feel good. And you've given me a good reminder that whatever weight I might lose will help with my arthritic knees. Regarding July 4 celebrations, hubby and I haven't seen fireworks displays in years, and he doesn't care. I miss them a little but I don't miss all. the. people. Unfortunately, people in the neighborhood sometimes shoot fireworks off at all hours, and it terrifies the dog. Hubby is already planning on sitting in the basement with dog to keep her calm. Kitty doesn't seem to be bothered.
@angf0679 Happy Canada Day! Enjoy your celebrations.

- Month end measurements taken (UGH) & logged on MFP 😥
- Min. 5000 steps 🤨 too sedentary only 3700 / OT exercises 😁
- Supper? smoked salmon on crackers & banana lol / NO snacks/sweets ~ sample of cinnamon roll (only 2 bites) at bread shop, 10 M&Ms for my sweet taste after supper / 80 oz. water 😐️ 56? / log all food / net calories zero 😐️ pretty close, so that's better than I've been lately
- Shop/order sleepwear (my old stuff is horrible, replacement overdue) / usual M garbage chores /
read/ digital declutter / other? stopped at bread shop, updated budget s/s 🙂 ta-da! - Pick up test kit at WWW / bank w/d / massage 2:30 😁
JFT T 7/1
- Early start this morning to beat heat & walked dog 3.67 mi 😁 happy dog & happy me

Was very productive at work this morning. So much so I missed my window for lunch. I do have a cup of applesauce in my fridge, but that may simply make me hungrier. I'm feeling good about the productivity, but dreading a slow afternoon of meetings.
Was kind of hoping to sneak away for a bike ride this evening, but the rain has ruined that. Guess it will just be another Tuesday. Work - Mom's - Home - Dinner - Bed… At least Tuesdays dinner is at a local place I enjoy. They have great sweet potato fries and we play music bingo. Silly, but its kind of relaxing.
@HappyDonkey75 great job on getting into the 150's! Not long now and you will hit maintenance. I hear you about the knees. That is one thing that was a wake up call for me as well.

I can't believe it's July already! The days seem packed, and it's hard to stay on track with weight loss. But rather than throw up my hands, I'm setting down some goals for the month and will try to stick to them. I'm also going to try to use up, reuse, and repurpose what I already have rather than accumulating more stuff as part of No Buy July.
July JFT goals:
- Log
- Healthy choices
- Hydrate
- Light exercise
- 2 chores
- No Buy July
- Relax
