Hopefully it will stay that way. I’ve still got time to turn this thing back around somewhat before the end of the July challenge. It’s time to take a good look at myself in the mirror, as Michael would say. It’s time for me to change my ways.

Water average but better than lately. Everything lined up until it didn’t at the witching hour. I suppose today is another opportunity to be successful. I see way too much red and blue symbols on my entries. Not good!

Well I made a commitment this month to weigh myself first thing every morning. So I thought I would join this group. It will enforce accountability. My goal is simple. Just weigh myself to capture both positive and negative triggers.

It was a little discouraging, but then I realized I started hitting goal once I added in breakfast to reach my protein goal. So thank you to my friends here who provided the tips!! Looking forward to more 🙌 the second half of the month!

💥💥💥 07/15-191.0 -✅ (Trend Weight: 191.2) I’ve only dropped on the scale one time in the last 11 days (since 4th of July) and that was only for a hot minute. So this is very welcomed. That holiday (for some strange reason) put me on a drunken binge although no alcohol has been involved. I hope I’ve turned a corner here and will start making some progress again. I’m tired of “staggering around” when I could be making leaps and bounds!

Hi all. Back from Sydney and gained 1.7kg = 3.7lb. I was way more active but had a lot of carbohydrates and carbonated drinks - not to mention the Krispy Kreme’s.
Had the urodynamics done - which was thoroughly unpleasant but still don’t know much more until I go back again for consultation. I’m suffering urine reflux again and blown right back up again. Ultra wiped out from the trip so resting for a few days sounds good.🤞July weight🤞

@Tbris4 Thanks so much for your support. I'm slowly turning it back around. Tomorrow I travel which will not help the cause, then we are back to the weekend again with DD and DGS here until Sunday night. I'm formulating a plan. Enjoy my out-of-town trip with son and 3 of my other DGS' to see Superman (my favorite!). Enjoy the theater, the restaurant afterward, all of it. Then have a slim and careful weekend. I think it will be worth suffering through DD's time here with all her goodies just to have the nice time away tomorrow. I rarely get to do as much with the Grandsons I'll be with tomorrow. In fact, I don't think I've ever had the 3 of them together for anything! I can do this….. And if I can, why not on other weekends (keep it slim)? I guess I'm out to prove something to myself but it's so hard. It really does depend on what she brings in! And it shouldn't! It should depend on where I am at with my journey and my progress and my goals! Anyway, lining up the physical with everything mental and emotional is a big feat, as you know. I'm working on it and really appreciate the faith you have in me!

I’m tired of “staggering around” when I could be making leaps and bounds!
SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH:
💥💥💥 07/16-191.0 💠 - (Trend Weight: 191.1) No change in weight. Trend down a notch. I am so excited about seeing Superman tomorrow. Very tall grandsons (age 17 & 19) have chosen Golden Corral while downstate for the movie. Such a treat for rural folks like us. My DGS who is autistic (age 9) will also be going with us along with my own adult autistic son Young DGS has only been to the movies once but is finally able to handle the sound and large colorful graphics (I think). It is going to be fun. I’ll try to be reasonable at the buffet but I know that no matter what happens it will only be a couple of days to shake it off. Honestly, the real challenge is eating bad things for four days straight every week when DD and other DGS are here. They’ve become part of my lifestyle in their current situation and I’ve got to adapt in the healthy ways that keeps me focused on my overall health and weight goals. It’s right in front of me, I see it clearly. I’ve just got to reach harder, reach farther, touch it, then grab it up and make it my own! Observation looking over my week: My meals were very good, my exercise and water much improved. However, my snacks at night were ridiculous. I really have made a pig of myself. I feel like a drowning person who sees a buoy in the water but the nighttime snacks just keep pushing me back, further and further away from that buoy, away from saving myself. It’s sink or swim!

@deepwoodslady It hurt to hear you say you made a pig of yourself. There is so much more to overeating than just telling yourself no and white knuckling through it. Treat yourself with some kindness… look at how much your family means to you by spending that time with you this weekend! Especially boys that age- you must mean a whole bunch to your family. And add in the extra care it takes with autism… you are the bomb!
I hope you truly enjoy yourself and give yourself a high five in the mirror! Late night snacking doesn’t define you.

Well I made a commitment this month to weigh myself first thing every morning. So I thought I would join this group. It will enforce accountability. My goal is simple. Just weigh myself to capture both positive and negative triggers.
7/5- 194 lbs.
7/8- 193 lbs Had a light bulb moment. If you don't weigh yourself every day you are missing the moments when you have lost weight.

13. 226.6… Day one… logged yesterday and finished only 100 calories over goal. Feeling great! Happy Sunday
14. 225.8… Day 2 is done and dusted. Logged and finished 100 over calorie goal. I’ve prelogged today since it’ll be a busy Monday. May cut the grass after work then jump in the pool… and vacuum it. 💦
15. 224.6 … Day 3 is put to bed! Logged and finished 18 calories under goal. Managed to cut most of the front yard after work. Didn’t make it to swim since the mosquitoes were biting last night. Feeling good 😁
16. 224… Day 4 done and done! Logged and finished 156 calories over. Another great day! Before work I’ll clean up and cover up the deck since it’s going to rain today.
17 224.5… Day 5 complete. 439 calories over. I knew that would happen eventually but I’m not mad about it.
