SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH:
07/16-191.0 ๐ - (Trend Weight: 191.1) No change in weight. Trend down a notch. I am so excited about seeing Superman tomorrow. Very tall grandsons (age 17 & 19) have chosen Golden Corral while downstate for the movie. Such a treat for rural folks like us. My DGS who is autistic (age 9) will also be going with us along with my own adult autistic son Young DGS has only been to the movies once but is finally able to handle the sound and large colorful graphics (I think). It is going to be fun. Iโll try to be reasonable at the buffet but I know that no matter what happens it will only be a couple of days to shake it off. Honestly, the real challenge is eating bad things for four days straight every week when DD and other DGS are here. Theyโve become part of my lifestyle in their current situation and Iโve got to adapt in the healthy ways that keeps me focused on my overall health and weight goals. Itโs right in front of me, I see it clearly. Iโve just got to reach harder, reach farther, touch it, then grab it up and make it my own! Observation looking over my week: My meals were very good, my exercise and water much improved. However, my snacks at night were ridiculous. I really have made a pig of myself. I feel like a drowning person who sees a buoy in the water but the nighttime snacks just keep pushing me back, further and further away from that buoy, away from saving myself. Itโs sink or swim!

14. 225.8โฆ Day 2 is done and dusted. Logged and finished 100 over calorie goal. Iโve prelogged today since itโll be a busy Monday. May cut the grass after work then jump in the poolโฆ and vacuum it. ๐ฆ
15. 224.6 โฆ Day 3 is put to bed! Logged and finished 18 calories under goal. Managed to cut most of the front yard after work. Didnโt make it to swim since the mosquitoes were biting last night. Feeling good ๐
16. 224โฆ Day 4 done and done! Logged and finished 156 calories over. Another great day! Before work Iโll clean up and cover up the deck since itโs going to rain today.
17 224.5โฆ Day 5 complete. 439 calories over. I knew that would happen eventually but Iโm not mad about it.
18. 224.6โฆ Day 6 completeโฆ another less than stellar calorie dayโฆ but Iโm still down .1 pound from the beginning of July. Gotta find the silver lining! ๐คฃ off to cut the grass โฆ luckily itโs 74 degrees outโฆ Iโll still be a sweaty messโฆ but not as big of a sweaty mess. Happy Friday friends!

๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ 07/18-190.6 โ (Trend Weight: 191.1) Not too shabby after the late lunch yesterday at all-you-can-eat buffet Golden Corral. My quantity/serving sizes were good. My choices were not so good. I donโt eat salad so everything else on the buffet pretty much doesnโt fit my plan so I enjoyed but watched how much went on the plate. Superman was mehโฆokay. Iโm a HUGE fan so I was a little disappointed. The chosen actors were spot on โ great! The story line left much to be desired IMHO. And just not enough history/lead when introducing new generations to the Superhero. I think my 3 DGSโs were a little lost but all enjoyed the constant action of the film. Not enough Clark Kent IMHO. Anyway, Iโm going to get a copy of the 1978 Superman with Christopher Reeve as it was the best and began my own love and understanding of Superman! Looks like a movie night in the near future for DGSโ and myself!

When my daughter was young she came home from school to tell us that squirrels were very territorial and if you saw them "playing" they were actually fighting. Her little face was so serious.

Well I made a commitment this month to weigh myself first thing every morning. So I thought I would join this group. It will enforce accountability. My goal is simple. Just weigh myself to capture both positive and negative triggers.

๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ 07/19-187.8 โ (Trend Weight: 190.7) A big whoosh for me and I am magically touching that 7 on the 187 that I always long for, although itโs right at the tip of it. I know the overnight whoosh was losing a load of water, not necessarily fat. I was forced to take a water pill after the Superman trip. So much sitting caused the swelling in legs and abdomen to be so bad I could barely bend my ankles to walk. But I could have ended in the 190โs like the last few water pill weights so somewhere along the way I have lost some actual weight and Iโm glad to finally see it. I am supposed to take pill every day but I only take it about 3 times per month as it disables you making you stay home and near the bathroom. My lifestyle can be too busy for all that. I know, I know I should be following Drโs orders, but I still have a bit of life left in me to live so thatโs what I choose. Down 2.6 lbs and able to feel the bottom of my rib cage again. Iโm always shocked at how far down they go on the torso! And my feet are not oozing out of my sandals like biscuit dough trying to get out of a broken biscuit can popped too early. Pure relief!

15. 224.6 โฆ Day 3 is put to bed! Logged and finished 18 calories under goal. Managed to cut most of the front yard after work. Didnโt make it to swim since the mosquitoes were biting last night. Feeling good ๐
16. 224โฆ Day 4 done and done! Logged and finished 156 calories over. Another great day! Before work Iโll clean up and cover up the deck since itโs going to rain today.
17 224.5โฆ Day 5 complete. 439 calories over. I knew that would happen eventually but Iโm not mad about it.
18. 224.6โฆ Day 6 completeโฆ another less than stellar calorie dayโฆ but Iโm still down .1 pound from the beginning of July. Gotta find the silver lining! ๐คฃ off to cut the grass โฆ luckily itโs 74 degrees outโฆ Iโll still be a sweaty messโฆ but not as big of a sweaty mess. Happy Friday friends!

07/19-187.8 โ (Trend Weight: 190.7) A big whoosh for me and I am magically touching that 7 on the 187 that I always long for, although itโs right at the tip of it. I know the overnight whoosh was losing a load of water, not necessarily fat. I was forced to take a water pill after the Superman trip. So much sitting caused the swelling in legs and abdomen to be so bad I could barely bend my ankles to walk. But I could have ended in the 190โs like the last few water pill weights so somewhere along the way I have lost some actual weight and Iโm glad to finally see it. I am supposed to take pill every day but I only take it about 3 times per month as it disables you making you stay home and near the bathroom. My lifestyle can be too busy for all that. I know, I know I should be following Drโs orders, but I still have a bit of life left in me to live so thatโs what I choose. Down 2.6 lbs and able to feel the bottom of my rib cage again. Iโm always shocked at how far down they go on the torso! And my feet are not oozing out of my sandals like biscuit dough trying to get out of a broken biscuit can popped too early. Pure relief!
๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ 07/20-187.8 ๐ (Trend Weight: 190.4) I had an excellent day yesterday with low calories and all my carb and macro goals being met. I also did 30 continual minutes of intentional exercise. I was really hoping to see my weight go down a touch more, even just a dribble, but I guess it wasnโt in the stars. However, my trend weight did go down again so I consider that a win and as my body having faith in me. Have a great Sunday everyone!

07/16-191.0 ๐ - (Trend Weight: 191.1) No change in weight. Trend down a notch. I am so excited about seeing Superman tomorrow. Very tall grandsons (age 17 & 19) have chosen Golden Corral while downstate for the movie. Such a treat for rural folks like us. My DGS who is autistic (age 9) will also be going with us along with my own adult autistic son Young DGS has only been to the movies once but is finally able to handle the sound and large colorful graphics (I think). It is going to be fun. Iโll try to be reasonable at the buffet but I know that no matter what happens it will only be a couple of days to shake it off. Honestly, the real challenge is eating bad things for four days straight every week when DD and other DGS are here. Theyโve become part of my lifestyle in their current situation and Iโve got to adapt in the healthy ways that keeps me focused on my overall health and weight goals. Itโs right in front of me, I see it clearly. Iโve just got to reach harder, reach farther, touch it, then grab it up and make it my own! Observation looking over my week: My meals were very good, my exercise and water much improved. However, my snacks at night were ridiculous. I really have made a pig of myself. I feel like a drowning person who sees a buoy in the water but the nighttime snacks just keep pushing me back, further and further away from that buoy, away from saving myself. Itโs sink or swim!๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ 07/17-DNW ๐ - (Trend Weight: DNW) Woke up running. Did not think to weigh. Home pretty late. Too tired to exercise. Reading posts then laying down to relax!

Hi all. Still recovering from Sydney trip. Really took a lot out of me. Hopefully will get at least one more day exercise in this week to meet my goal of 3 days.Made a sweet potato lentil lasagna last night.

๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ 07/18-190.6 โ (Trend Weight: 191.1) Not too shabby after the late lunch yesterday at all-you-can-eat buffet Golden Corral. My quantity/serving sizes were good. My choices were not so good. I donโt eat salad so everything else on the buffet pretty much doesnโt fit my plan so I enjoyed but watched how much went on the plate. Superman was mehโฆokay. Iโm a HUGE fan so I was a little disappointed. The chosen actors were spot on โ great! The story line left much to be desired IMHO. And just not enough history/lead when introducing new generations to the Superhero. I think my 3 DGSโs were a little lost but all enjoyed the constant action of the film. Not enough Clark Kent IMHO. Anyway, Iโm going to get a copy of the 1978 Superman with Christopher Reeve as it was the best and began my own love and understanding of Superman! Looks like a movie night in the near future for DGSโ and myself!

@jm216 Thanks for the squirrel pic Jill - made me smile.When my daughter was young she came home from school to tell us that squirrels were very territorial and if you saw them "playing" they were actually fighting. Her little face was so serious.

Well I made a commitment this month to weigh myself first thing every morning. So I thought I would join this group. It will enforce accountability. My goal is simple. Just weigh myself to capture both positive and negative triggers.
7/5- 194 lbs.
7/8- 193 lbs Had a light bulb moment. If you don't weigh yourself every day you are missing the moments when you have lost weight.

Managed to stay on track while up north, which I was pleasantly surprised by! My diet was not the greatest, but we did get in a few hikes and took in some breath taking waterfalls, which we always enjoy. Looking to get back on track today!

15. 224.6 โฆ Day 3 is put to bed! Logged and finished 18 calories under goal. Managed to cut most of the front yard after work. Didnโt make it to swim since the mosquitoes were biting last night. Feeling good ๐
16. 224โฆ Day 4 done and done! Logged and finished 156 calories over. Another great day! Before work Iโll clean up and cover up the deck since itโs going to rain today.

I was really hoping to see my weight go down a touch more, even just a dribble, but I guess it wasnโt in the stars. However, my trend weight did go down again so I consider that a win and as my body having faith in me. Have a great Sunday everyone!

I actually had an Oreo Flurry for dinner instead of food. Went to bed a bit hungry and unsatisfied, especially since I stay up so late. Another pound down which I assume is the pound I was looking for yesterday (and didnโt get) after such a great day. These delays can be mystifying. Tomorrow my DGS that comes every weekend (age 7) is having his tonsils out downstate. There will be several hours each way to get him there and lots of sitting at the hospital. Food will be away from home in local restaurant(s) so I donโt expect the weigh in day after tomorrow to be good. Iโll try to get some pacing steps in at the hospital. My post tomorrow will probably be pretty late. In the meantime, I leave you with thisโฆ..Remember, you are special, you are important and you matter!

๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ 07/22 โ 187.2 (Trend Weight: 189.8) I feel quite sure the weight is slightly up because I weighed at 4:30 am instead of my usual 9:30 or 10:00 am. As someone who goes to bed very late, 4:30 am doesnโt leave much room between last snack and wakeup time. Besides, I already may not weigh tomorrow after travel and so much sitting expected today and I didnโt want to skip two days in a row. DGSโs surgery today so out the door I go in a few minutes. Prayers for a smooth surgery for Owen are appreciated.
