    SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH:

    07/16-191.0 💠 - (Trend Weight: 191.1) No change in weight. Trend down a notch. I am so excited about seeing Superman tomorrow. Very tall grandsons (age 17 & 19) have chosen Golden Corral while downstate for the movie. Such a treat for rural folks like us. My DGS who is autistic (age 9) will also be going with us along with my own adult autistic son Young DGS has only been to the movies once but is finally able to handle the sound and large colorful graphics (I think). It is going to be fun. I’ll try to be reasonable at the buffet but I know that no matter what happens it will only be a couple of days to shake it off. Honestly, the real challenge is eating bad things for four days straight every week when DD and other DGS are here. They’ve become part of my lifestyle in their current situation and I’ve got to adapt in the healthy ways that keeps me focused on my overall health and weight goals. It’s right in front of me, I see it clearly. I’ve just got to reach harder, reach farther, touch it, then grab it up and make it my own! Observation looking over my week: My meals were very good, my exercise and water much improved. However, my snacks at night were ridiculous. I really have made a pig of myself. I feel like a drowning person who sees a buoy in the water but the nighttime snacks just keep pushing me back, further and further away from that buoy, away from saving myself. It’s sink or swim!

    @jm216 Thanks for the squirrel pic Jill- made me smile.

    When my daughter was young she came home from school to tell us that squirrels were very territorial and if you saw them "playing" they were actually fighting. Her little face was so serious.

    07/18-190.6 ✅ (Trend Weight: 191.1) Not too shabby after the late lunch yesterday all-you-can-eat buffet Golden Corral. My quantity/serving sizes were good. My choices were not so good. I don’t eat salad so everything else on the buffet pretty much doesn’t fit my plan so I enjoyed but watched how much went on the plate. Superman was meh…okay. I’m a HUGE fan so I was a little disappointed. The chosen actors were spot on – great! The story line left much to be desired IMHO. And just not enough history/lead when introducing new generations to the Superhero. I think my 3 DGS’s were a little lost but all enjoyed the constant action of the film. Not enough Clark Kent IMHO. Anyway, I’m going to get a copy of the 1978 Superman with Christopher Reeve as it was the best and began my own love and understanding of Superman! Looks like a movie night in the near future for DGS’ and myself!

    💥💥💥 07/19-187.8 ✅ (Trend Weight: 190.7) A big whoosh for me and I am magically touching that 7 on the 187 that I always long for, although it’s right at the tip of it. I know the overnight whoosh was losing a load of water, not necessarily fat. I was forced to take a water pill after the Superman trip. So much sitting caused the swelling in legs and abdomen to be so bad I could barely bend my ankles to walk. But I could have ended in the 190’s like the last few water pill weights so somewhere along the way I have lost some actual weight and I’m glad to finally see it. I am supposed to take pill every day but I only take it about 3 times per month as it disables you making you stay home and near the bathroom. My lifestyle can be too busy for all that. I know, I know I should be following Dr’s orders, but I still have a bit of life left in me to live so that’s what I choose. Down 2.6 lbs and able to feel the bottom of my rib cage again. I’m always shocked at how far down they go on the torso! And my feet are not oozing out of my sandals like biscuit dough trying to get out of a broken biscuit can popped too early. Pure relief!

    💥💥💥 07/20-187.8 💠 (Trend Weight: 190.4) I had an excellent day yesterday with low calories and all my carb and macro goals being met. I also did 30 continual minutes of intentional exercise. I was really hoping to see my weight go down a touch more, even just a dribble, but I guess it wasn’t in the stars. However, my trend weight did go down again so I consider that a win and as my body having faith in me. Have a great Sunday everyone!

    07/16-191.0 💠 - (Trend Weight: 191.1) No change in weight. Trend down a notch. I am so excited about seeing Superman tomorrow. Very tall grandsons (age 17 & 19) have chosen Golden Corral while downstate for the movie. Such a treat for rural folks like us. My DGS who is autistic (age 9) will also be going with us along with my own adult autistic son Young DGS has only been to the movies once but is finally able to handle the sound and large colorful graphics (I think). It is going to be fun. I’ll try to be reasonable at the buffet but I know that no matter what happens it will only be a couple of days to shake it off. Honestly, the real challenge is eating bad things for four days straight every week when DD and other DGS are here. They’ve become part of my lifestyle in their current situation and I’ve got to adapt in the healthy ways that keeps me focused on my overall health and weight goals. It’s right in front of me, I see it clearly. I’ve just got to reach harder, reach farther, touch it, then grab it up and make it my own! Observation looking over my week: My meals were very good, my exercise and water much improved. However, my snacks at night were ridiculous. I really have made a pig of myself. I feel like a drowning person who sees a buoy in the water but the nighttime snacks just keep pushing me back, further and further away from that buoy, away from saving myself. It’s sink or swim!

    4. 225.8… Day 2 is done and dusted. Logged and finished 100 over calorie goal. I’ve prelogged today since it’ll be a busy Monday. May cut the grass after work then jump in the pool… and vacuum it. 💦
    5. 224.6 … Day 3 is put to bed! Logged and finished 18 calories under goal. Managed to cut most of the front yard after work. Didn’t make it to swim since the mosquitoes were biting last night. Feeling good 😁
    6. 224… Day 4 done and done! Logged and finished 156 calories over. Another great day! Before work I’ll clean up and cover up the deck since it’s going to rain today.

    17 224.5… Day 5 complete. 439 calories over. I knew that would happen eventually but I’m not mad about it.

    1. 224.6… Day 6 complete… another less than stellar calorie day… but I’m still down .1 pound from the beginning of July. Gotta find the silver lining! 🤣 off to cut the grass … luckily it’s 74 degrees out… I’ll still be a sweaty mess… but not as big of a sweaty mess. Happy Friday friends!

    💥💥💥 07/18-190.6 ✅ (Trend Weight: 191.1) Not too shabby after the late lunch yesterday at all-you-can-eat buffet Golden Corral. My quantity/serving sizes were good. My choices were not so good. I don’t eat salad so everything else on the buffet pretty much doesn’t fit my plan so I enjoyed but watched how much went on the plate. Superman was meh…okay. I’m a HUGE fan so I was a little disappointed. The chosen actors were spot on – great! The story line left much to be desired IMHO. And just not enough history/lead when introducing new generations to the Superhero. I think my 3 DGS’s were a little lost but all enjoyed the constant action of the film. Not enough Clark Kent IMHO. Anyway, I’m going to get a copy of the 1978 Superman with Christopher Reeve as it was the best and began my own love and understanding of Superman! Looks like a movie night in the near future for DGS’ and myself!

    @jm216 Thanks for the squirrel pic Jill - made me smile.

    When my daughter was young she came home from school to tell us that squirrels were very territorial and if you saw them "playing" they were actually fighting. Her little face was so serious.

    Well I made a commitment this month to weigh myself first thing every morning. So I thought I would join this group. It will enforce accountability. My goal is simple. Just weigh myself to capture both positive and negative triggers.

    07/20-187.8 💠 (Trend Weight: 190.4) I had an excellent day yesterday with low calories and all my carb and macro goals being met. I also did 30 continual minutes of intentional exercise. I was really hoping to see my weight go down a touch more, even just a dribble, but I guess it wasn’t in the stars. However, my trend weight did go down again so I consider that a win and as my body having faith in me. Have a great Sunday everyone!

    💥💥💥07/21 – 186.8 ✅ (Trend Weight – 190.1) Yesterday was filled with bad choices. Truly, the food could have and should have been much healthier. I actually had an Oreo Flurry for dinner instead of food. Went to bed a bit hungry and unsatisfied, especially since I stay up so late. Another pound down which I assume is the pound I was looking for yesterday (and didn’t get) after such a great day. These delays can be mystifying. Tomorrow my DGS that comes every weekend (age 7) is having his tonsils out downstate. There will be several hours each way to get him there and lots of sitting at the hospital. Food will be away from home in local restaurant(s) so I don’t expect the weigh in day after tomorrow to be good. I’ll try to get some pacing steps in at the hospital. My post tomorrow will probably be pretty late. In the meantime, I leave you with this…..Remember, you are special, you are important and you matter!

    07/21 – 186.8 ✅ (Trend Weight – 190.1) Yesterday was filled with bad choices. Truly, the food could have and should have been much healthier. I actually had an Oreo Flurry for dinner instead of food. Went to bed a bit hungry and unsatisfied, especially since I stay up so late. Another pound down which I assume is the pound I was looking for yesterday (and didn’t get) after such a great day. These delays can be mystifying. Tomorrow my DGS that comes every weekend (age 7) is having his tonsils out downstate. There will be several hours each way to get him there and lots of sitting at the hospital. Food will be away from home in local restaurant(s) so I don’t expect the weigh in day after tomorrow to be good. I’ll try to get some pacing steps in at the hospital. My post tomorrow will probably be pretty late. In the meantime, I leave you with this…..Remember, you are special, you are important and you matter!

    💥💥💥 07/22 – 187.2 (Trend Weight: 189.8) I feel quite sure the weight is slightly up because I weighed at 4:30 am instead of my usual 9:30 or 10:00 am. As someone who goes to bed very late, 4:30 am doesn’t leave much room between last snack and wakeup time. Besides, I already may not weigh tomorrow after travel and so much sitting expected today and I didn’t want to skip two days in a row. DGS’s surgery today so out the door I go in a few minutes. Prayers for a smooth surgery for Owen are appreciated.
