Well I made a commitment this month to weigh myself first thing every morning. So I thought I would join this group. It will enforce accountability. My goal is simple. Just weigh myself to capture both positive and negative triggers.
7/5- 194 lbs.
7/8- 193 lbs Had a light bulb moment. If you don't weigh yourself every day you are missing the moments when you have lost weight.

07/29-185.4 ❌ (Trend Weight: 188.2) I hated posting my weight with the big red X today (gain) but I know it’s only a weird fluctuation so I’ll get over it. My calories were extra low again yesterday (884). Took son to a bar/restaurant after his dr appt. I ordered the 2 pc Chicken strip basket. I had one strip and ¾ of the small amount of fries. I ate the other strip later for dinner. One fiber one bar later (70 cals) and I was done for the day. I thought that the restaurant would help me increase my calories for the day but the protein backfired. I guess I’ll try to get in more today as I don’t want to slow the metabolism. I did plenty of extra exercise yesterday too so none of it makes sense but weight loss is not linear, right? I do believe the extreme heat (still no A/C yet) is contributing to my lack of appetite.
💥💥💥 07/30-186.2 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 188.0) I gained 0.8 gained overnight. 1.2 gained in 48 hours. And all of it just normal fluctuations as I’ve followed plan and exercised too. Yesterday I ate 1196 calories and 77 carbs, both lower than goal. Water consumption has been iffy but finally got 6 full hours of sleep last night and it was heavenly! No TMI today so that is probably a contributing factor to the gain. I’m traveling today so lunch will be in the city. That is always a set-back. We’ll see how I feel about weighing tomorrow. I don’t need to jump into the fire to know that it’s hot! And I don’t want to end the round on a temporary travel weight after one restaurant meal. If I decide not to weigh, I’ll come back the following day and do so to end the month properly and more accurately.

12. 228…. Ugh… it’s time to get serious about what I eat and eating within my calorie limit. Today is a great day to start!
13. 226.6… Day one… logged yesterday and finished only 100 calories over goal. Feeling great! Happy Sunday
14. 225.8… Day 2 is done and dusted. Logged and finished 100 over calorie goal. I’ve prelogged today since it’ll be a busy Monday. May cut the grass after work then jump in the pool… and vacuum it. 💦
15. 224.6 … Day 3 is put to bed! Logged and finished 18 calories under goal. Managed to cut most of the front yard after work. Didn’t make it to swim since the mosquitoes were biting last night. Feeling good 😁
16. 224… Day 4 done and done! Logged and finished 156 calories over. Another great day! Before work I’ll clean up and cover up the deck since it’s going to rain today.
17 224.5… Day 5 complete. 439 calories over. I knew that would happen eventually but I’m not mad about it.
18. 224.6… Day 6 complete… another less than stellar calorie day… but I’m still down .1 pound from the beginning of July. Gotta find the silver lining! 🤣 off to cut the grass … luckily it’s 74 degrees out… I’ll still be a sweaty mess… but not as big of a sweaty mess. Happy Friday friends!

20. 225.9 Day 8… Had family over… celebrating my son going to Norway today… his first international trip… my daughter starting her Senior year of college next Monday… and a nod to my hubby’s birthday. 🎂 ✈️ 🏫
21. 225.2 Day 9… Logged and done. I love healthy leftovers! Having a big salad for lunch and soup. I can eat soup everyday!
22. 223.1 Day 10… Logged and done! Feeling great. 😁 I love seeing 223! Day by day… pound by pound.
23. 223.8 Day 11…logged and done! Walked 25 minutes home yesterday from dropping my car off to get my front brakes done. Happy about the walk part of it!24. 223 Day 12… Done and dusted! Swam for 2 days in a row… more like cleaning the pool from inside… was so nice and relaxing. Have a big work event tonight, so I’ll make sure to eat healthy beforehand.
25. 222.8…Day 13 Logged and done. Stood on my feet from 3pm to 7pm and talked with lots of interesting people. Didn’t eat much at the event, so I had cold cereal at home for dinner. It was 94 degrees yesterday, so Honey Nut Cheerios sounded perfect. Happy to be in the 222 family.

27. 223.8 Day 15… Pre logged for the day and feeling more in control and more relaxed. Last night had too many Nachos… working on portions. Progress not perfection. Going to see the Fantastic Four after work tonight with the family. 🥰

The specialist says my bladder function is actually improving. But I’m having a scan tomorrow to check my kidneys and ureters regarding urine retention. It’s so strange that my bladder stopped working mysteriously and now apparently it’s getting better again. There’s been no cause given as to why my bladder is so enlarged or why it was retaining so much urine. That bothers me because it could easily just happen again.

07/31 – 188.8 ❌ (Trend Weight – 188.1) And THIS is why I like my magic 7. I’m very disappointed in this but I know I didn’t eat 10,000 calories yesterday, which is what it would take for this to be real fat gain, so I’ll be okay. I will spend the next couple of days getting this back to normal, whatever normal is, of course but I know it involves a 7 or less. 0.2 lb lost due to the travel weight. Otherwise, I may have made goal as my low weight earlier this week was just 0.2 above goal. Hmph…

I did hit my protein, water, and gym goals. Fiber was reached most days, but there were a few where too much fiber was an issue so I laid off the next day.
