๐๐๐***August 2025 WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE***๐๐๐

Happy International Beer Day (first Friday in August) and International Peace Month around the world and National Goat Cheese Month and National Panini Month, at least in the Estados Unidos.
@enlightenme3ย is still traveling, so I'm posting this month's challenge again.
๐ Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. ๐
I joined MFP in February 2018. I had been trying on and off to lose some extra weight. MFP gave me the tools I needed to lose 30 pounds, and I have tried to keep it off since then. I've mostly been successful, but there for sure have been times when I slid back. Only continued vigilance will work to be successful, and fortunately that's possible! It can be nice to have short- and medium-term goal to break down a larger goal into more manageable chunks. So a monthly challenge with a weekly check-in is GREAT. I've been contributing to this challenge for several years, and withย @enlightenme3ย temporarily away, I'll try to keep it running.
Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.
You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress better๐. I'm setting this month up for Saturday check-in. Do what works best forย YOU!

For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input: When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.
Itโs not a race go at your on pace, imagine where you could be in 6 months time!๐

I had hoped to hit my goal wt in Aug. now it looks like sept is realistic. I may adjust my goal wt when I get there or I may keep it. Down 66 lbs since 1-1-23 its been a long road.

โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ08/01 โ 187.6 โ (Trend Weight โ 188.0) Improving after a day trip gain and some unexpected and unfair fluctuations. But weight loss has a mind of itโs own so going up 3.8 lbs quickly and trickling back down slowly is what Iโll have to accept and work on. My lowest weight this past week was 185.0. Iโm on my way back down, and thatโs a promise Iโve made to myself that I intend to keep. Good luck in August, my friends.

September 1:Iโve been battling work and life, but Iโm back. Hubby mentioned a vow renewal for our 20th anniversary. I started thinking about the dress I bought for our wedding but never woreโฆ wore work clothes for impromptu civil ceremony, wore maternity wedding gown for church wedding (5 months pregnant), and was too fat to fit into never-worn dress for our convalidation (Catholic Church ceremony). So, my goal is to get into the never-worn dress for the vow renewal next July.
If I lose just 1 lbs a week, I should be able to fit in the dress because that was about the weight I was when I bought it. It is currently hanging on my closet door to be seen every day:

I've been bloated for months. I'm celiac and have Hashimoto's. I ate pretty clean for a couple of weeks and then had a gluten free tortilla and a protein ball. The next day I woke up with every joint in my body hurting. I'm currently researching and trying to avoid gums (allergic reaction) and emulsifiers. It has been quite a journey of learning, but in the long run I think it will help me to stay on the clean eating train and avoid so much bloating.
