    7/30 - 296.1 nice to start with a drop, it's just a nice pick-me-up! But, us daily weighers know we had best not set whether a day is good or not by if there's a drop, or we'll drive ourselves crazy!
    7/31 - 295.6 had a bit of a tough day and came home to a nice home cooked meal by my husband. It did include cookies at the end so I over-indulged on that meal but I'd left a lot of calories for the evening. Today is another day to keep working on things.
    8/1 - 298
    8/2 - 297.5 Had to go searching for how to stop the double spacing but figured it out! Like many the past few days, my huge fluctuation yesterday cannot represent actual gain. Good to see it starting to come down today already. My TOM is just around the bend and I will hold onto extra weight during that time for sure, like clockwork.
    8/3 - 296.8 Husband and I had a super fun day yesterday doing an online scavenger hunt around our city. Weather was hot hot hot. We got a ton of steps. Going out on the boat today.
    8/4 - 298.7 This is my normal TOM uptick but it never gets easier to accept. My brain always wants to panic. While today is a holiday in Canada, I work today. Just having my coffee before I head into the office!

    8/7 - 300.1 The gain has paused and I expect things to start dropping off tomorrow. Bit of a rollercoaster week emotionally but I guess that's maybe to be expected. Some cooler weather days here but work has zapped all my energy and I've been lazy. Trying to give myself grace.

    8/8 - 301.1 oh I was wrong, there was still more to come. Need to make some changes.

    7/31 230.8 ~ yesterday was book club so there was food and wine. Not sure if I went over or not…hard to track restaurant food.
    8/1 231.8 ~ 🚶🏽 👣 the correction starts today!! Yikes. Went out last night for dinner and saw a Jazz band. Dinner was pizza at a new restaurant and we overdid it, but it was so good! Then Jazz with a couple glasses of wine. Great time, good night…but time to reign it in a few days before vacation!!!!! Adding daily goal of 10k steps back to my list! Oh, and today is the day I get to apply for Medicare! WooHoo…..

I actually was awake before him but he was up shortly there after at about 7am. Promptly announced the desire to go to the park AND play soccer outside. Both are on the radar but not just yet. Breakfast, then Karate, then one of the two activities, lunch and then activity #2 and that should about do me in!! 😂

Husband wanted to eat out tonight to not "mess up" the kitchen, yeah, the one that he doesn't clean! LOL. At any rate, I said no, we will have ample opportunity to eat out in the next 7 days. So I'm grilling a filet and steaming broccoli and maybe a few red potatoes to kick off the vacation. We're headed south and southernly meals are…well, let's say the first stop is …Lambert's Cafe where they literally throw rolls at you!

    7/29  131.5  I am taking a 4 week break from MFP. I may pop in but I don’t plan on it being daily. DGS gets married on 8/23 and I need to make an effort to tighten up some muscles (I’m sure they’re here somewhere) before that. We fly home on 8/25. In the meantime, I won’t be reading every post. I love this group and the support we all offer each other and I WILL be back!  (@SModa61 - the same thing just happened to me! I was proof reading my post and poof!!! It was gone.     It took me a few days to get into line but I think I have a handle on it again now. I am not eating any snacks and it hasn’t killed me. They are usually boredom snacks. At least I don’t have any junk in the house to tempt me.

    7/31: 188.6 lbs—I basically started this date because I am one year into my Celiac diagnosis and I wanted something to track my nutrition. Wow! This app has changed from when I used it for free…a long time ago.

    8/1: Hadn’t joined JGMTD yet

    8/2: 186.1 lbs–I’m pretty jazzed. I stayed within my calories, I exercised yesterday, and I had so many calories leftover, I got to eat three GF Oreos! 🙌

    8/3: 185.1 😳Kind of surprised, kind of not. I’ve never eaten this healthy before in my life. Had so many points left over, I had FOUR GF Oreos! But once those suckers are gone, they’re gone. My goal for the week was to lose 2 lbs. I guess we’ll see if I keep it off. Today I made Loopy Whisk Pancakes. NSV—I topped them with a fruit compote and did not slather them with butter. I LOVE sugar, so that was a win! 🏆 

    8/4: 185.9 I had less calories than yesterday, but I still weighed heavier. (Sigh) I know how this works though, so I’m not discouraged. Last night, I made a fancy meal: Jamaican Pork Tenderloin with Mango Chutney, served with Jamaican Rice & Peas and Corn on the Cob. It’s funny how losing a few pounds can make you feel so motivated to conquer the world. Exercise for me was working with my husband on emptying a storage unit. (We’re downsizing.) Today was a teaching day for my private students, so I am late on getting this posted.

    8/5: 187.7 😩Again, I know how this works, but the roller coaster is frustrating. Yesterday, I used all of my calories. I think that’s okay. Today, I had my tap class, so that was my exercise. NSV—I used to get so exhausted during and following the class. Now, I’m feeling pretty good. I’m definitely building strength. 

    8/6: 186.8 😊Weight down this morning. Happy. No exercise today, so I’m 171 calories over. Very busy day. Went to Snooze with family for breakfast. Ordered GF Smashed Avocado Benny—no hashbrowns. (I ate half and saved half for tomorrow.) Split a GF pancake with hubby. I figured out the nutrition, which was challenging. Bookclub tonight. 🤞for tomorrow

    8/7: 185.0 😳🙀This always blows my mind that offsetting (even going over) one’s calorie allotment can result in a sizeable loss. (Granted, I only went over about 360 calories.) Past thoughts were when we restrict our calories, at some point your body goes into starvation mode and holds onto water, reduces metabolism, etc. to preserve or survive. Then when we have a day where we go over that, the body is confused and thinks that starvation is over, so it “relaxes.” Not sure if science still adheres to that thought. I think that’s supposed to be the value in not having the same thing to eat all the time. In any event, I’m smiling from ear to ear this morning. 

    My husband finally gets that I need to stay on track 95% of the time—probably because he also wants to lose weight now…or because he’s been with me through several of these weight loss journeys now. In the past, he wanted me to have what I wanted when we went out, resulting in two steps forward and one step back weight loss. After a while, I get so frustrated that I give up. This time I want to lose weight, but more importantly, I want to feel better.

    8/8: 185.1 🎉No time for exercise yesterday either, but my results for the week were more than I had hoped for. I made a yummy Strawberry Spinach Salad for dinner. It’s basically the Panera Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with chicken. Who knew you could purchase their dressing at the store? 🤷‍♀️Hubs and I ran errands all day, so busy, busy. Today, mammogram day…think tortilla press. This afternoon, I will be taking my 102yo mother to a memorial service for one of her friends. I will probably get my steps in.

The Philly cheesesteak was okay and fit into my macros but the ice cream was ridiculous. I didn’t know it would be that large! (ice cream tacos). Had to share with son and still too much. MUCH too much. I was hundreds over on calories, double the allowed carbs. Not enough protein, fats or fiber. Not a good choice but the scale is down today. Either it will show up later or the exercise helped even though the MFP nightly chart still shows me over after the exercise bike session. I’m hoping Lady Luck is on my side for this one. Down 0.2 today so I’ll take it with gratitude!

    ⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️08/08-185.6 ❌ (Trend Weight: 186.7) Over on calories by 373. Does that equal 1.8 lb gain? Hmmm. Well, carbs were over too but still. Correction? Fluid build-up? Ice cream from 2 days ago showing up? Weight was not a fluke because I tried scale 3 times. This left me at a 0.2 lb gain for the round. Humph! Trend weight still going down so I’ll celebrate that small win today and I’ll just have to get over it. See you next round.

    Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Need to get on water intake since it is much harder to reach water goals when we eat out - I don't drink so much water at restaurants usually. Don't quite know why, just know it's a thing. Have dinner plans for tomorrow and Sunday that I need to input in MFP sometime today so I can tentatively plan breakfast and lunch around them. Hoping to stick to macro goals all weekend!

    63 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida). 
    SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
    SW MFP Sept 14, 2020  – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss if2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
    SW MFP Jan 1, 2023  – 146.6

    GW Maintaining between 124 – 126 SW: 127.6 Since my weight is slowing coming back down, I’ve added back in history details INCLUDING my maintenance numbers. In January, it seemed silly including my goal was to maintain 124 – 126 when I was weighing 138. Those maintenance numbers are in sight now. Just need to get there.

    7/30 – 130.0 I missed posting this day, but I did weigh and as the scale shows, I was out of line.

    7/31 – 129.4 Yesterday was spot on. It is now 4 PM on the 31st, and all is well. Will I make it through the whole day. I am somewhat irritated with myself as I have been repeatedly sabotaging myself as I get closer to the wedding. I need to knock it off!!!!

    8/1 – 127.4 I’m so confused…… Yes, yesterday was a second day on target, but such a drop is not logical. Conclusion is that some numbers, the highs or lows are misleading. While yes, I am back up in Maine. I headed up the evening of the 30th, which was a crazy day and why I missed posting. If you recall last round I was up here and questioning my scale due to some low numbers, and wondering if it needed new batteries. Well yesterday, I got a “LO” on my scale, so yes batteries were an issue, so I figured the 129.4 was accurate. Now today, with new batteries, I have a low number. I need to work to keep it!

    Today, DD, SIL, DGS’s #1 and #2, and their two cats, are joining DH, myself and our two cats, in our two bedroom condo for a vacay. Condo is going to get small fast, and food is going to be challenging, but we are making memories! (to recap – 4 adults, 2 little kids, and 4 cats, who don’t all get along…..:P )

    8/2 – 129.6 I think the new batteries have settled in. :’(

    8/3 – 130.2 Yesterday, there was no point in even attempting to track. Something I almost never say, even on a bad day. 

    8/4 – 130.0 Did weigh, missed posting.

    8/5 – 129.2 tracking has been impossible. No idea how I did yesterday.

    8/6 – 128.2 I am back home now. Yesterday was another untrackable day. Just wild as even when I have a day with a binge, I am still able to track, even including the binge. Haven’t had the TV on since Friday either as DD stopped all TV for her kids a month ago (the 2 year old was getting obsessed). Catching up on life today. PLUS I get to have my annual mammogram. :P Have not been reading posts. Are you surprised?? :P

    8/7 – 128.2 Yay! Not for the weight, but because yesterday was a properly tracked day and was on target.

    8/8 – 129.0 was great til 9, and then not. On to a new round. (Hey, at least I weighed first thing and managed to post before the end of day.)

    SW Rnd 304

    7/30  203.6 Today went by so fast.  I did get my walk after dinner and it was super humid.  I convinced my husband to walk with me tonight.  I have to start cleaning the house and getting backed to go to the mountains next week.  Going to go chase some waterfalls. 

    7/31 202.5 Today I was gone all day so I didn’t have the chance to go for a walk for work out.  Its amazing how you miss it when you don’t go, plus I was so tired all day.  I did my hair highlighted and blown out and it was so relaxing.  I almost fell asleep on her.  

    8/1 202.6 I have not felt the best today.  I pushed to get that 30 minute walk in tonight.  Thankfully is was much cooler. Trying to pack for a trip tomorrow but wishing I had more energy.  I went over on tracking tonight by a little and still feel full.  

    8/2  201.8  Packing for trip and plan a walk in great weather.  So thankful for a break in heat for a few days.

    8/4  201.8  We had a blast today riding the rails in a train cart and going to see a waterfall.  WV has some beautiful spots to explore.  We were so tired.

    8/5  203 Woke to this but I can’t blame the scale.  I ate horrible and even though I walked and hiked it was not enough. Today we went hiking and waterfall chasing.  Great day! Then saw an outdoor show and it was cool enough for hoodie and a blanket.  Love that!!

    8/6 203.6 Today I got no exercise.  Ok this is so hard on vacation.  Not giving up though.  I figure I will do better keeping up with it all than I would if I didn’t.  Spent family time tonight and got to meet my baby cousin only 5 months.  She is only 12 lbs and such a cutie.  

    8/7 202.8 Had a great evening walk with hubby and saw so many beautiful deer.  Visited with family today and took our son to see the capital and go inside and see where the senate and house meets.  He found it very interesting, surprisingly.  

    8/8 201.6 Not sure what tomorrows will look like after the fair today.  I kept mostly contained..I walked so much.  Super tired tonight.

    8/9 ⚖️ 136.2 🤸🏼🚶‍♀️💓👣🎾🏋️‍♀️⏱️📖 anniversary dinner on full display per scale. I really don’t like counting this result as the beginning of this round - a distorted uptick. But- I’m not denying the slow gain. It’s real. Let’s go with Monday morning as my true start weight for this round to gauge progress.     Maybe I exaggerated a wee bit! 😉 But you will see a noticeable drop with a more obvious difference in two wks as your body releases toxins. 🍀🍀🍀
