I ran 2.47M at 14'03 this evening just as the sun was setting. It's been pretty hot and humid, I turned on my air conditioner today. Cool is forecast next week.

National Parks badge day today. I am pretty achy so probably have been over doing the ramp up but will get my 20 min run in this morning. About to hit 100 miles for the month and have been consistent with walking so I may just cruise a little bit the rest of the week and with Sept 1 being a holiday maybe I can get cranking again for Sept.

Total Bike 171.14 / 200 milesI had planned for 3 miles yesterday but didn’t have enough time in the morning so squeeze in 2 miles. It was because I started reading a kindle book on the bike & lost track of time and did extra 2 miles there, so not all bad. My legs are feeling quite tight so no bike but did run today to make up for yesterday. I’m trying to keep Sundays as rest days but when the weather is still good it’s hard not to use it. They say we are going to get the tail end of Hurricane Erin. I’ve not checked 🙈

Still not 100% so opted for Pilates and a short run - a long slow run probably would have been easier physically, but just not mentally.
Miles off my goal for August (did the maths to see if 100km in six days was doable - possibly, but not advised. Will aim for a sensible 40!).
Will start afresh with new goals next month!

I started my training for the Richmond HM this morning. I only had 7 miles on my schedule but my friend had 8 miles so I also did 8. It poured rain most of the run. I was wringing water out my shorts as I ran. temp was 69F and it felt fabulous!

One more week left in the month. I will continue my streak but mileage may vary. LOL. Hit 100 which was a stretch goal so am now just going to see how the aches and pains behave and take it from there. Waiting for 60 something degree weather. impatiently.

Oof, what a week last week. I had one of my knock out drag out exhaustion weeks. I was just so sleepy and dizzy. I suspect it may have been connected to the amount of sugar I ate with our extra eating out with the company big wigs. Or it is hormonal, IDK. I just know I slept ALOT.
But feel good this week and ready to take on the day. Need to start thinking about next month goals already! I think I might up my WOG'ing, I think I am getting stronger my calves aren't burning so much after the 4 min.

179 of 225kms for the month. On track! Woohoo.
Did a backpacking trip o9n the weekend into the continental divide with a cute little tarn lake.
Total trip in and out was 29.2km/18mi and 1136m/3727ft of elevation gain. The climb was worth the views. Divide sits on the border with the Province of British Columbia, so had one foot in BC and one foot in Alberta at the same time. Time on feet training. Had to slow down, the others weren't as quick mainly because they had heavy packs. Had mine dialed down to 17#. The investments into ultralight backpacking is paying off.
This week's training might suck. Going to have a stretch of very warm temps for the next 10 days. Yuck.Fording River Pass Tarn Lake

I ran 5.25M today at 09'08. Had a banana and a water.
Then someone mentioned a Vermont speciality - the 'Creemee'. It looked like a soft serve so I was like whatever. A soft serve is a soft serve is a soft serve. BUT... It's made with maple syrup and not sugar. So I had to try one! So my breakfast:

Rest day for me today, so I’m planning to head out into the garden. Spring is just two weeks away, so there’s lots of pruning and deadheading and weeding to be done. But first, housework!

Got up this morning and played tennis with a friend. It was perfect weather with 64F (18C) and partly cloudy. We talked a little more than we normally do. I won the first set 7-5 and we were tied in the second 2-2 when time ran out and we had to quit.
I came home and did a driveway wun. I didn't plan on running much, but wound up fast enough for the first 1.25 miles to be a run. Avg pace of 13:27 min/mile. Splits were 14:07, 13:22, and 11:13. Avg HR was 131 with a max of 153 bpm.
I would have gone further, but had to take mom to a doctor's appointment this afternoon - just a 4 month check up.
My ankle felt mostly fine while playing tennis and running, but has had some twinges this afternoon. I think it feels a bit swollen, but can't really see it. I guess I need to put ice on it for a bit and see if that helps. I didn't call the ortho today, but am planning to play more tennis this fall, so probably should, just to be on the safe side.

I ran 6 miles this morning. I didn't sleep well and felt really tired starting out. It took.me. few miles to settle in to the run, but it did get better.

Went out for a driveway run this morning. It was a real struggle…knew it was going to be when I was having a hard time breathing during the uphill portion of my warm up walk. So, I made it a recovery "run," which in this case means really slow. The two miles I counted as a run was at an average pace of 14:20 min/mile. Avg HR was 115 with a max of 131 bpm.
After the grass dried, I went out and mowed the part of the lawn that can be seen from the county road and also bush hogged about half an acre…maybe more.
