I ran 10 miles today to finish August with 180 miles. It was hot and humid, but not a bad run. The temperature was 77°F feels like 79° at the start and 79° feels like 79° at the end. But it clouded up a bit and the wind went from 0 to 6 mph, so it felt better at the end. Plus the dew point dropped from 75° to 71° and that really makes a difference.
Great running this month everyone! Hopefully next month will cool down (or warm up) and we'll all have great running weather and be injury free. See you all over in the September thread. Thanks for setting it up @AlphaHowls!

@SummerSkier You did great this month. I hope your foot decides to behave in Sept. I like the term you made up "sequential injury cascade." I think that is pretty accurate. As for our "friend," I was wondering if you could see her comments, and yours, when she gets on there. Seems to be about once a week or so. Also, you are right…it's east to go from 0 - 60, but much harder to go from 0 - 60. 😂

I did my normal Sunday Rest Day walk, but this time after lunch and a nap. I walked 1.50 miles in order to end on an even number for the month, but had miscalculated yesterday, and wound up with and extra half mile. I was a bit short of my goal, but am not mad at that. The party planning took more time than I was anticipating, but it was worth it!
My other goal was to get my weight going back in the right direction. That goal was not achieved either, but at least it didn't keep going up.

@quilteryoyo you did great with all the extras you had going on And I have to say I was in the same boat. I did manage to keep my weight steady for the month so hopefully Sept will be better for both of us! I think your MOm's bday party was the highlight of August!!!!! ☀️☀️☀️
