    8/30 134.0 🏆🎾🚶‍♀️💗Z2

Tired, bloated, constipated, cortisol, lactic acid. Checking journals and nothing is off except sleep and anxiety (hospital project) Am I  “doing” too much? Will focus on hydration & REST today.

8/31 134.0 🚶‍♀️💗Z2 👣 14k🏋️‍♀️📖. woke up at 1:30 AM and fell back to sleep around 4:30 up @ 6am . Going against my usual DNW when sleep sucks but I wanted to see how bad it was. My systems are all screwed up. I had a perfect fuel day till @ 7PM - enjoyed Oikos high protein plain yogurt with a few blueberries & raspberries berries and a date. It was so good! Went over calories by 383 into “maintenance” territory, but of course that’s probably my “gain” territory… DH has been gone since Thursday afternoon and will return Monday night. 5 mi WV 🚶‍♀️yesterday. However, after a quick visit for baby snuggles & Tucker hugs, I worked on the hospital project the rest of the day preparing for the 9/9 meeting. I also watched the U.S. 🎾Open most of the day while writing… &🏋️‍♀️(I had ample opportunity).  Today, I’m ready for food as fuel and 🏆🚶‍♀️💗🏋️‍♀️⏱️📖💪🏻! Closed all rings (only missing 6/31 days in August).

Proud of that and 80% success rate!

BUT- if I get really tired today, (Im in ZOMBIE🧟 land - could make ZOMBIE 🧟‍♂️ decisions when sleep deprived.) Reviewing August: seems as though I go pedal to the metal for 4 to 6 days & then need a “do nothing” re-charge day…Let’s see if I can incorporate some self-discipline and make good choices running on empty.  🤗#HSF #MindBodySoul

9/1 133.0 🏆🤸🏼🚶‍♀️💗👣📖 That scale is something else! No nap. Organized and watched 🎾 and a little bit of🏋️‍♀️. 3mi walk. 1:1 Pg:Eg , will do the same today with more 🏋️‍♀️. Planning to cook a little this evening-a favorite chicken dish. Hubby gets home late tonight. 💪🏻#HSF

September is a great month for me- looking forward to health & REWARDS.

NSV: This 🧟 Zombie made good choices & decisions yesterday!

    9/2 132.4 🏆1:1 📖 🚫rings

Took it really REALLY easy yesterday. Lazy 2x 20 min walks. Way under steps. Rainy day. Perfect piddle day. Another baby hugs morning. Eleanor is 11wks now and is interacting, smiling mimicking cooing and oh those arms fingers toes and cheekers!  Ready for an awesome week! 🎾🏋️‍♀️🚶‍♀️💗⏱️#HSF #MindBodySoul #ENGAGED #FoodAsFuel

NSV: Enjoyed my piddle day & stayed present & grateful. Was in a positive mood - finished my writing project. Onward!

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 307
    August 29 – Sept 7, 2025

63 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020  – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss of 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
    SW MFP Jan 1, 2023  – 146.6

    GW Maintaining between 124 – 126

    SW: 126.2

8/29 – 127.4 solidly confused. Yesterday’s scale fight made no sense, and it returned again this morning. Not fighting with it. Will continue as is and see what the number is when I can next weigh on my home scale (same brand, same model and they always align) next Wednesday. Yesterday was slightly over target, but again in maintenance range. So a notable gain is not in the cards. There was a lot of salt yesterday, including fully tracked restaurant dining in the evening. Dining out again today. The ride continues…..

8/30 – 126.6 confused in a different way. Last night was another night out and I actually ordered an entrée (was fabulous!). I expected a possible up, not a drop. Next few days are normal life, so hopefully I will figure out where I am at.

9/31 – 125.8 I have forgiven my Maine scale for making me crazy. Last saw this number briefly Feb, 2024. Going to get some activity today. Still TBD, but will be something!

9/1 – 126.2 Made it to Planet Fitness yesterday, but I just did treadmill for an hour. Not exciting or great, but I did something. Believe it or not, my muscles are not fully pleased today. Kind of sad that just walking would do that. Calories were very good. Under target number AND did not eat back any exercise.

    9/2 – 126.2 Slightly over but controlled.

I enjoy reading everyone’s posts with my coffee each morning.

    Highest weight 242 lbs Lowest weight 142 lbs (2019) Re-start JGMTD Feb 2024 @ 204 lbs

    Round 306 End Weight 175.4

    8/29 176.2
    8/30 176.0
    8/31 176.0
    9/01 176.0

09/02 175.4 Thankful for a small drop! Especially after eating out for both breakfast and dinner. Especially, especially since I was extra reckless at breakfast with a giant waffle and bacon. Waffles are super yummy with butter and syrup.

Dinner was much more restrained but definitely not “light”. I ate from the bread basket, I nibbled on calamari and I had a martini. I was satisfied with an appetizer for my main but crostini with grilled peaches, honey and ricotta packs a calorie punch. No need for dessert.

The weekend hedonist rides again! I am ok with this, I’m on the slow boat for losing.

I will show some restraint for the rest of this round. I walk a fine line but I’m here.

FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all the posts.

5'3, 36 yo, SAHM to 3 year old twins with disabilities. Life is hard right now, but I'm doing what I can to take care of myself as well as everyone else.

    Mini goal: 140
    Ultimate goal: 130

    Rnd 301 Ending Weight: 144.2
    Rnd 302 Ending Weight: 145.3
    Rnd 303 Ending Weight: 143.3
    Rnd 304 Ending Weight: 144.3
    Rnd 305 Ending Weight: 141.0
    Rnd 306 Ending Weight: 141.1

8/29: 142.3. Not sure why the upswing today, other than just the normal fluctuations. Eating was decent, ran just 3 miles on the treadmill.

8/30: 144.4. I'm not surprised at the jump. I did some carb loading yesterday to prepare for a long run I'm going to do this morning. I'm going to attempt a 12 mile run again.

Yesterday was a rest day from running, and I also didn't have time for my morning walk. My steps were only about 4,000 by evening, so I walked on the treadmill to get 10,000.

8/31: 143.6. I'm happy to say I completed 12 miles running on the treadmill yesterday. It was a pretty good run, completely opposite of when I attempted it last week. Focusing on proper fueling has made a world of difference! I'm still trying to find a balance so I can also drop a few pounds. I'm just going to do what I can, and appreciate my body for being able to do these long runs.

I went grocery shopping yesterday and stocked up on healthy food. Today I'm going to do a bunch of cooking for the week. I'm planning on a good week.

9/1: 143.6. Up early this morning due to some sick kids. I hope it passes quickly. I got a lot done yesterday, including a bunch of meal prep. The fridge is full of healthy options now. I also did an easy 3 mile recovery run on the treadmill. However, I ended the day with a few beers, so not a perfect day.

9/2: 144.3. Well, this is the wrong direction. I need to work on snacking, as I've had way too many crackers and such while feeding my kids lately. It has got a little out of control. I don't need crackers every time they eat!

It was rest day from running, and I did a short walk.

9/2-138-Made good choices yesterday and will take my protein drink with me when I go play pickle ball this morning because I am absolutely starving on the way home and I need to run errands and there is junk food everywhere I go.

    8/29 - 167.9 -

    8/30 - 170.6

    8/31 - DNW

    9/01 - DNW

9/02 - 171.6 - Expected. Not enough water and food was all over the place due to some inaccurate information regarding lunch/dinner. Oh well. I'm also probably holding on to water weight with this injury - it's still very sore. I'm convinced I do have some soft tissue damage but I'm thinking it's not severe - at least not severe enough for surgery though it may be enough to keep me out of the game for awhile. I did figure out I could walk on the treadmill so when BF got up for the gym this morning, I joined him and walked while reading my kindle. A great way to stay active and moving without further injury and also get much closer to my reading goal of 33 books at the end of the year. I'm currently at 21 books so I'm a bit behind schedule. This may be what I need!

@SModa61 I thought about finding a way to strap my upper arm to my body because the sling still allows my shoulder to be jostled about. I was just talking to BF about that this morning! I'm glad to know that it could be helpful from someone with experience. Thank you for sharing and your kind well wishes.

@Chapter_3 I posted last round about the accident. My dogs went a bit haywire on a walk and I got tangled in the leashes when the pulled and escaped harnesses - I landed on my shoulder dislocating it. It was that or my head and I fear I would've done some damage and knocked myself out if I hit my head so my shoulder suffered instead.

@deepwoodslady @pezhed @AR10at50 Thank you all for your well wishes. I'll be back at it in no time. It might not feel like no time in the moment, but looking back, this will be just a blip in my lifetime and, for that, I'm thankful. I've sent a note via the VA secure message line to my care team to ensure they're aware of my situation and have received my records from the ER and can best prepare for my appointment on Friday morning - I'm hoping I can have a path forward figured out with my doc when I walk out of my appointment Friday.

i’m Amanda, 5’2”, 40F, in Appalachian Virginia (US)

    NSG (tracked for prior day)

    🏃🏻‍♀️ movement - 7/10 days

    🚫 no alcohol - 7/10 days

    SW Rnd 307- 130.8

    RGW: 129.2

    8/29 - 130.8 🏃🏻‍♀️
    8/30 - 130.4 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    8/31 - 132.2 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    9/1 - 132.0 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    9/2 - 130.8

8/29 - 130.8 🏃🏻‍♀️ After my spiel about alcohol yesterday I drank probably half a bottle of wine last night with dinner (troublesome when I use it in a recipe and cook with wine in 2 ways) and I couldn’t sleep until 2am. This morning I subbed as a paraprofessional for a nonverbal autistic 3 year old (I am not trained to do this AT ALL) and I am just completely wiped. Going to try to do my assigned run this afternoon but also not going to stress about it. Very glad tomorrow is a rest day. I think we’re going hiking but at least that’s easy at our family pace.

8/30 - 130.4 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫 I made amazing homemade pizzas last night! Certainly not diet food but my family absolutely raved. My 6yo said it was the best food he’d had in his life. I squeezed a treadmill run in yesterday afternoon while the 4yo had a friend over. Slightly interrupted by rattling and whining but better than nothing. I had a good NSV last night: we had friends over that DH and I consider our drinking buddies and I fully abstained from drinking. I had a hop water, an NA beer, and a seltzer instead while we chatted by the fire. Zero fun lost and zero sleep lost!

8/31 - 132.2 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫 Two restaurant meals yesterday on our family adventure. We had so much fun in a WV state park. We did a 3-mile hike around a lake. 4yo was whiny but the 6yo loved it! Today I have to do a super hard interval run and I’ll probably walk the dogs and do chores. My kids want a true “stay-home day” so it will be quiet. Happy Sunday!

9/1 - 132.0🏃🏻‍♀️🚫 Not happy with this number but mostly I’m grumpy that I seem to have injured my hip. Googling makes me suspect bursitis. I read the risk factors for bursitis from over-use: middle-aged, female, perimenopause, and overpronation. The only one of those I can fix is overpronation with new shoes. My shoes are nearly a year old and running shoe cushions don’t work great for more than 6 months. I also may try to mix up my cardio more. I was casually training for a half marathon next month just for something to work toward but I’d never registered for it. I think I’ll just do a better mix of things. Peloton offers a suggested workout each day of the week so my plan is to follow those for a while. After some rest.

9/2 - 130.8. Didn’t move and did drink yesterday. DH decided he wanted to do hot dogs and deviled eggs yesterday so we invited our neighbors over for dinner and a fire. I stuck with light beer which I handled a lot better than the wine last week! Today I’m planning to walk the dogs and maybe do a little yoga for active recovery. We biked with the kids to a playground yesterday and I found that my hip feels fine while biking, so that’s good! It will be nice to have something to redirect my cardio attention to.

How do we make spoilers now? I want to tuck away my text walls from prior days if possible.

8/29- 298.3: Hot and humid here. My husband and I had a spontaneous date night last night and it shows on the scale. Traveling for the long weekend.. gone two nights. TOM coming.
    8/30- DNW
    8/31- DNW
9/1- 298.2: Back from our two night vacation. Enjoyed a day of ATVing and some nice meals. Today is a holiday and we were busy getting our house prepared for some company coming next weekend. My husband has also spent most of the day cooking.. he really is a great chef!
9/2- 299.1: Guessing this is either residual effect of travel OR my TOM effect OR both. Yesterday we were on our feet a fair bit with the cleaning and some walks. Ate two larger meals rather than three smaller meals. Back to work today.

@fermatamb7212 ~ So how was the wedding? Nevermind… I see pictures. You look great, nice choice!

@quiltingjaine ~ they are closing the Golden Corral near us…. I thought of you 😃 I think I’ve only eaten there once. How’s DH? Did they figure out what’s wrong? I hope you’re still feeling ok. There are some things you just don’t want to share!!

@deepwoodslady ~ Frost warnings!! That’s crazy! We are hitting 80 today then it’s back to the low 70’s during the day. I’m not ready for winter! Congrats on 7lbs for the month…that’s huge!

@slstover35 ~ Sounds like you enjoyed the Nascar race. I think I’ve been to 2. My former and current boss's son used to race, so he would sponsor events for us to attend. It was interesting. 🏎️

    @Healthylyna2020 ~ Welcome back!

@Zaxa2021 ~ Nice run! I’m trying to get my mind wrapped around cooking for the week. I did a little this weekend but nothing like I used to do…

@Chapter_3~ your brunch looks really good. I’m going to have to give cottage cheese another chance! 😊 And cilantro (that is cilantro and not parsley, right?)…nice touch! Love your “piddle” day and your description of Eleanor. So grand!

@SModa61 ~ Sometimes…just getting there (the gym) makes all the difference in the world. 60 minutes on a treadmill is quite a workout! 🚶🏽‍➡️

    Rnd 306 | SW: 183.1 | EWG: 180.6 (-2.5)

    Rnd 307 | SW: 182.1 | EWG: 178.6 🎯

8/29: 182.1 🥺I’m +2.1 from the end of Rnd 306, and I knew that was going to happen after having lunch at our local Asian restaurant. I ordered Lettuce Wraps because I thought they would be light. 🤣Of course, I also got to have Crab Rangoon, bc this restaurant actually has the GF. Then we came home and I had nothing to make for dinner with the wedding weekend beginning today. So I ate my lunch leftovers for dinner. Double whammy!

8/30: 183.1 182.1 🤨I expected this and almost didn’t weigh. However, I’m glad I did so that I keep this in mind at the wedding today. Last night was food that we normally don’t eat: BBQ brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, cheesy potatoes…ugh! (No bun since they didn’t have GF.) When I started entering the food in MFP on the way home, I understood why we always eat chicken or fish! I mean, 190 cal for a thin slice of brisket!!! 😳I only had one drink, so that’s cool. In the past, I would have had 2-3 total. Also, not much water since a bathroom was not always handy. After the wedding today, I think we’ll need a week of salads to recover from this. 😭

8/31: 182.4 😊Not bad after two days of wedding stuff. I also corrected my weight from yesterday. That was the biggest surprise of all. Anyway, the wedding is OVER!🎉Worrying about what dress, what hairstyle, and whatever else was plaguing my insecurities. It’s over! I’m happy and I feel good about how everything turned out. I chose the dress that won by a landslide from everyone’s votes from here and the few other people I entrusted with my photos. So thank you all for your input. I’m posting the finished product of me with DH. He was too nervous to even think about taking a pic of just me. 🤣

9/1: 182.3 🤨Calories were right on the line, but I also had a drink when we went out. I’m sure I’m retaining water and stuff from the wedding weekend. I’m not panicking…yet. I really have some steady goals, so I hope we get this worked out.

9/2: 181.6 🙂This is better. Not sure if I’ll make my goal by the end of this round, but I’m going to try. Last night, I tried not eating after 8pm. That was hard! Went for a walk this morning to get some exercise that has not been happening. 1.5mi Maybe if I get motivated, I’ll do it again this evening. Nothing exciting about food. I just made IP Chicken Tacos. The nice thing is, those are now on hand for a while. I also found some GF Almond Flour Tortillas that were pretty good. They still fall apart easily, but they didn’t taste gummy. Yay!

    ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND 185.6

    08/29-183.2 ✅ (Trend Weight: 185.1)

    08/30-182.2 ✅ (Trend Weight – 184.8)

    08/31-181.8 ✅ (Trend Weight: 184.5)

09/01-185.0 ❌ (Trend Weight: 184.6) This is what it looks like when I fill with water. I stuck to my meals well yesterday but did have dessert at a friend’s house with DD and DGS. I was unable to take my prescribed water pill the past couple of days. This week will be hit & miss. I’m not even sure if it’s fair to weigh and if the numbers will do more harm mentally than good. Especially when it continues that I can’t take the medication. Tomorrow’s weight would be after the holiday BBQ today away from home. Wednesday I travel several hours each way for a medical appointment on my eyes so Thursday will be skewed. Friday is “no weigh day”, especially with school back in session for DGS. So Saturday would be first day that weight has a chance to slightly level though it could still possibly be somewhat elevated if one day of recovery is not enough. I will play it by ear and see how my curiosity gets to me. This much back-to-back-to-back-to-back change is definitely cramping my style and my routine. It feels like such a wasted week and opportunity to see where I’m really at. I’ve no choice but to push through and do What I can, When I can. Right now from this angle it looks like another month of chasing my tail. In August I finally caught it in the very last week, only to start on that low for this month. Ugh! pezhed , speaking of ups & downs, here I go again!

🐝🐝🐝🐝 09/02-187.8 ❌ (Trend Weight: 184.9) Well, today’s weight marks a gain of 6 full pounds in just 48 hours! I didn’t eat THAT MUCH on the holiday. I know some of this is fluid buildup, some of it is justified. This is just how I sometimes roll.. Tomorrow is a travel day so I don’t expect it will level off too soon, but I will make today a good day so I go into the travel day on better footing. I’m going to try to stay positive at the start of this new month and hope that “easy come, easy go” will be my mantra this month. I will not accept that it is all easy come! I don’t know how much progress I can make by the end of this challenge since I’ve already gained 6 pounds in the first two days, but for September I have 28 days left to make a dent, my friends! Today, I’m denting.

    Round 307

    August 29-September 7 2025

    SW Rnd 307

8/29 203 - TGIF - I plan to do my exercise late after dinner.  Its hotter today.  I am so sore from the strength training I did this week.  I am also so tired.  Friday is my favorite day of the week.

8/30 202.4 - I am headed out for a walk and get my exercise.  Happy weekend everyone! My daughter comes home this evening from college and tomorrow we are going to Darlington SC for the Nascar race with a bunch of friends.  Its not really my thing but my hubby loves it.  So I go each year for him.

8/31 202.8 - Great at the Nascar races. Lots of steps and stairs. Not the best diet though.  So fun!

9/1 203.4 - Yikes the food and cider from the race has caught up to my weigh in today.  Honestly today was not much better with the holiday and having people here.  Tomorrow my daughter leave back to college and I can get back on track.  I do have surgery on my knee on Thursday so who knows what I will be able to do for a few days.

9/2 203.8 - Today I was able to get back to my schedule of eating and exercise.  Stayed under calories, got my walk in and some strength training.

Proud of that 80% success rate!

BUT- if I get really tired today, (Im in ZOMBIE🧟 land - could make ZOMBIE 🧟‍♂️ decisions when sleep deprived.) Reviewing August: seems as though I go pedal to the metal for 4 to 6 days & then a “do nothing” re-charge day…Let’s see if I can incorporate some self-discipline and make good choices running on empty.

Eleanor is 11wks now and is interacting, smiling mimicking cooing and oh those little arms fingers toes and cheekers!  Ready for an awesome week! 🎾🏋️‍♀️🚶‍♀️💗⏱️#HSF #MindBodySoul #ENGAGED #FoodAsFuel

NSV: Enjoyed my piddle day & stayed present & grateful. Was in a positive mood - finished my writing project. Onward!

    9/3 132.4 🏆🎾🤸🏼🚶‍♀️👣💗📖         🚫🏋️‍♀️⏱️

    Beautiful day yesterday. #MindBodySoul

Today is more tennis – the fall league starts so I will be playing regularly. Also a zoom meeting for hospital project this afternoon. Hoping to 🏋️‍♀️today - been slacking the past few days. I have good momentum w/ success in the kitchen -a macros & calorie “Victor”. I am conscious of my goal to get to 131.x by the end of this round.

What I like about these 10-day challenges is that they really help me reset without feeling overwhelmed. I used to set big monthly goals and then lose motivation halfway through, but focusing on a smaller window makes it easier to stay consistent. Over the last few weeks I’ve been trying to balance workouts with my schedule, especially since some gyms have very different hours and costs. While I was comparing options, I came across something that others might find useful here, and it gave me a better idea of how to plan ahead without stressing too much.

    Maintenance Range Goal: 200-205

Daily Goals (4) for this round:
    -✏️ Log Food.
-☣️ No Ultra Processed Food (UPF).
-🎯 Meet CI/CO target, net 1500. (revision: CO reduced by UPF CI)
-💓 Exercise minimum 20 minutes. More if possible.

    This is my posting format….
Month/Day: Scale Reading first thing today before getting dressed. / Goals met ✏️☣️🎯💓/ Comment

    8/28/25 : 220.0 SW the day before.

    8/29: 222.2
    ✏️
Yesterday was a day of reckless abandonment. I lived my life like someone else was in charge of my physical wellbeing. I logged it all and it reads like an episode of “Dateline.” I can hear the grey haired Keith Morrison saying, “he SAID he was interested in taking care of his body,…. but what really happened on that beautiful afternoon on August 28th of 2025?”
Whenever DW and I have a friendly argument, one of us might say “You better call Dateline.”

    8/30: 221.0
    ✏️☣️🎯💓
Mediocre day. Met all my goals with flying shades of grey, rather than “with flying colors” My exercise class met for the monthly lunch at the Pizza Ranch, where we undo all we have done. I managed my food for the rest of the day to meet goals.

    8/31: 221.8
    ✏️🎯💓
Did not meet my UPF yesterday. I had a hotdog bun, some crackers and a Fannie May butter cream candy. Also, some adult beverages. For the indiscretions above, my food log holds the following:

I did hit the net cal target, but I need to find a way to eliminate allowing CO to zero out UPF style CI.

Today is an eating day with friends and relatives. DW is making peach pie. It will be tough to find exercise time.

    9/1: 223.0
    ✏️

My only goal-met yesterday was logging (✏️). I also technically met the target (🎯) under my former rules, which include eating back some exercise calories. I am amending my rules to say that UPF (☣️) Calories-In are deducted from exercise (💓) Calories-Out.

BOOM! Actions have consequences! Truth! The message I am sending myself is that there is no exercise-based recovery from Ultra-Processed-Food.

It is now September! Trip coming up mid-month after my High School 50 year reunion. Two things to inspire me right now.

    9/2: 223.0
    ✏️☣️🎯💓
I was a bit surprised by no movement with scale. Such a beautiful day yesterday. I rode 24 miles on the bike. BLT’s for lunch and chicken on the grill for supper.

In unrelated news, our 15 year old CavaPoo (Poppy) is showing signs she is ready for the proverbial Rainbow Bridge. Difficulty breathing and occasional loss of rear legs control. Yet, there are moments of puppy energy. I wouldn’t be surprised if some morning soon she is gone when I get up. We won’t let her suffer.

In further off-topic news, today is the first day of CBS (Community Bible Study.) I love my local class of this worldwide program. This year it is about the book of Psalms. This is not a paid advertisement. HA!

    9/3: 221.6
    ✏️☣️🎯💓
I am glad for the loss. Doing some churning here. My 10-day average has been damaged by the past two days. I am trying to learn my lesson.

Poppy had one of her puppy days yesterday, so who knows? I sure don’t. Thank you all for your kind words.

I ordered a backpack to be used as my “personal item” on the plane and it came yesterday. It was soooo small. Does anyone remember the unveiling of the Stonehenge stage prop in the movie “This is Spinal Tap?” Similar.

9/3: 143.9. Snacking was better yesterday, but still more than I need. I'll continue to work on that. Today, my goal is no crackers! I know it seems silly, but it really has gotten out of control.

    I did a 3.5 mile walk and a 5 mile treadmill run
