What Mini Goal is motivating you right now!

One-derland! I haven't been under 200 lbs. for, I don't know, six years? I started at 248 and I'm at 213 now. My clothes are baggy and look terrible on me, but I told myself I'd hold out until I was under 200 to do clothes shopping, since that will mark the midway point to my goal. My brother knows I hate spending money on myself (single mom guilt), so he told me he'd give me $199 to spend on new clothes to celebrate me getting under 200 lbs.
So, for the first time in about a decade, I'm excited to go clothes shopping!

Getting my metabolism on track!!

Total number of hours exercised in August.....Eleven. My average is 12 ..... I'm happy to have settled on an exercise program that puts me back on track. I just began a 12 week program on Monday August 25th that takes me to mid November so I expect to see an increase in my monthly exercise hours thru the Fall. 😊 Just in time to lose up to 8 pounds for my Winter vacation.

I can now do these up, they are too tight to wear yet. Next goal is to be able to breathe in them 😆

I have monthly check-ins with my nutrionist. I try to be at least 4 lbs down every time I go. It breaks down that big number to manageable chunks, and all the sudden I'm halfway there!

to finally hit 154 and below only 10.2 lbs to go

9.4 lbs to go 😇

My mini goal, once again, is to get back under 200 lbs. I made a short foray this summer, but relentless stress, uncertainty, and infernal heat finally got to me 🍨🐽🍦
No more… 6.5 lbs to go so hopefully I’m get there by the end of the month. This is the last time I’m doing this, for real.

I did it! Made it to my mini goal! Now I am doing a 2 week maintenance cycle before going after my next goal, 219lbs. This was the weight I was before my car accident a couple years. 💙

I have been invited to a fancy do for work, it happens every year and is a lot of fun. None of the options I have wear are currently doing me any favours!
It’s worked out that a few days after that I’m doing a 12 mile trail race, haven’t run that far for ages, and now my brother is also doing it so can’t wimp out.
The goal for the next 6 weeks is to up the training and really dial in. High protein, good nutrition, no junk. It’s long enough to make a difference for both events. The dresses will look better and I can pretend like it’s not hurting going uphill 🤣13 -
@katmfp1313 Congrats on reaching your mini goal! Here's to more weight loss once your maintenance cycle is done (and no more car accidents!).

Update! After posting this, I had added that my goal was to get out of a BMI of 25. I really thought it would take one month to lose the couple of pounds that had put me into Marginally Overweight Category. I've been following the plan I set out for myself three weeks ago. Logging my calories and being aware of what I eat (not overeating or starving....but after years of retraining myself I naturally crave fresh fruit, natural textures and being hydrated). I am into my third week of my walking program and really enjoying it as well as doing yoga thru a You Tube instructor I love 3x a week. Not painful exercise.
Two weeks later....I have lost THREE pounds and I am now back at Normal weight with a BMI of 24.7 😀 I am now confident I can lose 10 pounds in time for the first week of December. I feel so good focusing on my nutrition and eating in such a healthy loving manner that I find the positive vibes make it easy to continue. I've never missed an exercise session as they are so "kind". I feel really good resuming my eating habits.
@wavybabygray Were you able to babystep your way into watching what you eat and taking a daily walk? If you begin with the simple goal of eating less and moving more, it may be slow at first but impossible for nothing positive to happen. 😇

My mini goal is that I just dropped to my next to last belt hole…. just a little bit more and I'll be on that last hole! I'll celebrate by buying a new belt.

I want to be under 300 lbs by the new year. I am currently 337.
13 -
Get down to 200#

This is my next mini goal too! I started at 260 and I'm down to 202… but the scale is at a standstill! Ugh! So close. I haven't been under 200lbs since 2015/2016 and it was brief! That's super cool of your brother though! New clothes make a world of difference.

I posted previously that my mini goal was to make it past 330 as that is where I was stalling previously. I did that and plenty more—under 300 now!
My next mini goal is to go on at least one bike ride a week for the next month. I got myself a bike yesterday and I am so ready to go.19 -
Don't get discouraged if the bike "rubs you the wrong way". It takes you body a little while to acclimate to the seats on standard bicycles. It's a big reason people stop coming to spin classes. The discomfort should go away in a week or two. Best of luck!

@lolligagme Congrats on reaching the 200's! Good job, keep it up… and have fun on your new bike!

I'm 11 pounds away from no longer being obese according to BMI. My weight loss has slowed down a lot in the last few months. I'd love to be there by the end of 2025. I think that would be a wonderful Christmas present to myself.

My arthritis pain in my feet and knees is a lot less than it has been. This past winter, it was hard to walk. Now I am able to climb stairs, get back to aerobics classes, bend down, and even run in small spurts. I can be on my feet all day long (though at the end of the day, my feet are screaming at me).

A friend and former work out partner of mine have reconnected recently. We both feel a need to improve our physiques and we decided to take self pics of our progress in 6 weeks and send them to each other. I'm male and she's female which adds a little extra motivation to wanna push hard and get in the best shape ever.

well it’s hard to know if I’ve been hitting my protein goal as I’ve been rubbish at tracking! However, I’m back committed to it! My mini goals are: hit my protein target, measure my fibre intake so I can work on improving it, and exercise 3 times this week

I've recently gained a few pounds back that I had lost. About 5lbs. I want to focus on losing that 5 lbs and then 3 more lbs that will take me from obese to overweight. So, my goal is to be 157lbs by Christmas. I'm ultimately trying to get to 140 lbs.
9 -
I just want to get on track, I haven’t had success in a really long time.
10 -
What mini goal will you set for yourself to help find success? What would getting back on track look like?
4 -
My current mini goal is actually a big one - to get under 200 lbs (currently 212). This will mean:
- ONE derland for the first time in >20 yrs
- the second century mark crossed - I started at over 300 lbs
- No longer considered obese - BMI will be <30.
Looking like I'll be able to do it by the end of the year 😁

I've been doing MUCH better when it comes to dealing with stress in productive ways (rather than using food as a pacifier). Lately the stress has ramped way up again, and I'm finding that I'm not as stable as I thought I was: I've been going back to stress eating, and I'm not liking it.
So my mini goal is to build a new habit of consciously and specifically choosing a quick break (breathing exercises, listening to a song, stretching, going for a little walk, etc.) when I feel overwhelmed, instead of reaching for food.

track everything, no more than two milky drinks a day and space out my meals/only eat at certainn times, instead of grazing all day and eating thousands of extra calories.

To way 139 pounds when I get on the scale one week from today, 1 pound a week (at least) for now of loss is the goal. Current weight 140, overweight at 5'0" and my goal is somewhere between 120-122. I really just started pushing myself this week to exercise a little more. I was walking 4.6 trail miles but thought, "hmmmm, wonder if I could make it to the next trailhead with success" and I've done it three times since then, at 7.2 miles.
