🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 310 (my 240th).
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
- to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available.This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

9/27 142.6 – (trend 142.6) No structured walking; visited National Trust property - Coughton Court before it passes back into control of the family. Pleased with the round once we returned from holiday, just a pound to lose before I’m back to pre-holiday weight.

9/28 - 131.6 🏃🏻♀️Have to work harder this round and act like I’m actually trying to get healthier. Yesterday I co-hosted a baby shower for a friend and of course overindulged, but it could have been worse. I made good choices for lunch at least to offset some of the damage. DH and DSs had an adventure last night. They were at a scout campout when there was storming and heavy rain. There was a flash flood warning and they all packed up in the dark and rain. Thankfully everyone was safe and home around 9!

Lately MFP has been intermittently & randomly 'playing up' sometimes after even just trying to enter a daily post, it's totally refused to'play' and I've given up for the day. Some so called improvements have been made, but many of us on here have been very disgruntled with it. Hopefully it will work later for you x.

🐝🐝🐝🐝 09/28-183.4 ✅ (Trend Weight – 184.2) A small drop today which seems to be a miracle because I know what I ate last night and what time I ate it. It was ridiculous! I’m so glad I got my lazy *kitten* on that exercise bike when I just didn’t feel like it. I’m sure that helped. I also raked leaves and burned for 3 hours just trying to keep up. So the extra calorie burn apparently paid off.

Joint pain finally cleared thank you universe!! It sucks but the grains are the culprit. Having a bit of a Hashimotos flare up right now hard to explain unless you’ve been there. Basically like walking uphill through sand. Like I said above, calming my system down and eating anti-inflammatory foods is priority 1

@pezhed I’m a former scouter! Married to an Eagle Scout, mother of an Eagle Scout, and step-mom of 2 Eagle Scouts and 1 Gold Award Scout. So reading your post about packing up in the middle of the night brings back so many memories. My best memories are of the crazy things like that, oddly enough. I remember before I started camping with them and being relieved when they came home okay. 😊

@stephanj I had to look up Hashimoto’s and learned that it is an autoimmune disease (similar to Celiac), so I can somewhat relate. Hang in there! It’s hard dealing with the symptoms!!!
