Glad to hear your journey led you to this achievement! I had a similar thought after I got my dimples back recently after my weight loss journey. Very refreshing to see it again, and I hope your feelings were similar!

For me, another NSV was being able to feel my jaw again after years of it being covered up. I didn't start shaving until I was in college and actually had facial hair. By that point, I had gained a lot of weight, and so I had pretty straight edges to shave. This year, while I was in the midst of my weight loss, I was noticing that patches of hair would be growing right under my jaw and under my chin. I thought it was because it would grow quicker than other areas of my face, until I realized that my razor was having a hard time getting into that area. I was able to actually see my jawline again for the first time in several years, and it gave me a huge confidence boost.

I've done nearly 120,000 steps in the last week and 30,000 yesterday. My weight hasn't moved in a while, but in the last week I've lost 5 and a half pounds. I feel like I'm finding doing it right! :)

went to a woman’s group today and three people said my skin is really nice and glowing (I’ve been trying to eat healthier and drink a lot more water) and then someone asked when I was due, OPPs.

nothing major yet, but lots of tiny things. i can feel my collarbones slightly again, my rings are fitting more comfortably, i was able to wear a necklace that i couldn't even clasp before, etc.

Over 4 months ago I purchased a dress online in a large size thinking it would be roomy. I could barely zip it up. I was afraid if I sat down I would burst out of the dress. I had an event the other night and hadn't tried on the dress since I purchased it. After being dedicated to watching what I ate and exercising, the dress fit and was actually a little roomy which is how I thought it would fit to begin with. Bonus, I had a lot of compliments on the dress.

I bought some pants on sale from my favorite site in a size 12 back in June- used to wear a size 26W from the same site (these don't say W on them, so not sure if they are regular 12 or W 12.)

I thought they were my usual style, turns out they are skinny fit/spandex pants. I put them on today, and they fit well, I can even put my finger in at the waistband. And, I didn't have a muffin top with them. 😆 Yes, they are snug, but are meant to be that way, unlike my usual clothes.

I already got a positive comment on them at work today.

I LITERALLY Gained some of my wardrobe back! ( ya know how we all hold onto stuff hoping we "might fit into" it again?)

3 suits and suit jackets I couldnt wear anymore, for like 8-10 years, all now fit me perfect. PANTS I could barely button before are now comfortable . Also, 2 more notches deeper on my belt!

The scale moves so slowly sometimes its easy to overlook these other "signs"

Oh Also, probably most important MY BP is Finally measuring "Normal" (though I am still using BP medication)

I have been going through my closets and trying to declutter. In the process I have run across many T-Shirts that I was never able to fit into. Many with dates and logos that I would have been proud to wear, but wouldn't fit. All decades+ old. They all fit now. And I realize everything else fits like a tent. That is, my size for T-Shirts was 3XL and 4XL. Now my shirt size is apparently XL. My pant waist size is 42, rather than 52 or 56 at the worst. Everything. My motorcycle helmet that was a 3XL is now and XL. Shoe size 13, now 11.5. It's weird, if before this realization just weeks ago I had ordered a new shirt, it probably would have been a 2XLT. I have now completely wrapped my brain around the fact that I am no longer enormous. Just weeks ago, my brain would have thought about myself as weighing 400+ lbs. Now I have finally come to the realization that I have lost a ton of weight. I have known this, but never in such a tangible way. On the downside and back to my purge, I have donated thousands of dollars' worth of clothing to various charities. Piles and piles of new and like new dress-ware casual-ware. I think about how much I spent on all that clothing which is now worthless to me. But I am very happy with the piece of mind and confidence all this weight loss has given me. I wouldn't trade it for the world. And purging the clothing is a small impact that I will gladly pay.

my dad took some really unflattering pictures of me today and instead of giving up because it feels hopeless, I’ve decided to keep going. I might always hate my body but I can hate it less… I’m expecting loose skin and I have really bad posture but I can have a killer jawline and collarbones.
