    non scale victory.

Like your pants being baggy, wedding ring being loose, etc

sometimes, when the scale ain’t budging, you find your wins elsewhere.

Yes! I have finished the book and thought it was a really good read and found it quite helpful. I’ve put some of it into practice. I got it from the library but I think it would be a good book to buy and have on hand to refer back to.

I'm going to buy it as well! I borrowed it from Libby and returned it today. I want to make notes in mine. I do wish there were more examples of what a goal looks like, and they had a list of weight/health related goals. Oh well. I guess I'll have to experiment. They had something called Habits Academy, but it seems to have gone offline. The book was published in 2018 or something, but it's still very popular.

Thank you, hopefully my sister will keep showing up, she's usually good at sticking with other projects, so fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear about your parents. Did your parents ever change their ways? My health turnt around when I realised I wasn't in control and I couldn't do it on my own. My parents got me a personal trainer for about six months and it really helped me. That was several years ago now and my weight has gone up and down a few times since then. I'm not expecting my dad to join me for a while, as he has cancer and isn't meant to lose much weight until he has recovered.

My parents are very supportive of me, sometimes bossy but they do their own thing.

I am considering this a NSV although it involves a scale. If you've weighed yourself in full clothing and taken 2 pounds off for the clothes.....you can relate! Honestly, my doctors did this. Weigh me, take off 2 to 3 pounds and record it. I'd weigh myself on my trusty community centre scale and it always matched the -2 pounds. I saw my Dr for my yearly check up this week....which included my weight. At first I was a bit disappointed....then I realized 😳. Fully dressed....I was still in the NORMAL RANGE! She didn't need to subtract the 2 pounds for me to feel better about myself.....although she did. I'm at 64 kgs and I have never been Normal while fully dressed in at least 12 years! It's a strange but wonderful feeling.

Note: Fully dressed means jeans, top, and socks. They subtract 2 pounds for that, 3 if I wear runners or shoes. She always let's me take my shoes off! For an accurate weight at the Centre, I always wear a tank top and leggings. Even in the Winter.....I take off my shoes, socks, jacket to weigh myself. The tank and tight leggings are the most I can wear and this has never failed me! 😊 PS.....I LOVE Atomic Habits and use what I've learned to change my life! Yes, the book is worth buying! Build one habit at a time. 🙌
