    @WestCoastGirl_1 @globalhiker @SparkSpringtime69 @chicbuc @Fursian @2timesacharmmfp @NonnieDoiron @Michieb125 @GGinCA ~Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes!!

    @Walela617 ~ I love your 9 things…. Congrats on the Week!!

    @Fursian ~ You got it right, birthday AND Lola!!!

    @NonnieDoiron {{{hugs}}} you are still doing very well in spite of all going on! A massage sounds nice….. Oh, what a terrible day for a biopsy…and yes…6 weeks, seriously. But, you're right. I don't think they care….my sister was diagnosed in June/July and she FINALLY has a surgery date. The only saving grace is her mental state…as all does NOT resonate with her. Me on the other hand…. 18 pounds total! Awesome!!!

    @WestCoastGirl_1 ~ You are rocking this! Way to go GIRL!!!!

    @GGinCA ~ Glad you're here. I really do want to focus on me and fun for this next trip around the sun. Seems it's always been something else…now it's time for ME!

    Went out to breakfast and dinner for my birthday. Had a green salad along with my omelet for breakfast and a Mimosa. The salad was really good, and I'm not big on salads, usually. Went window shopping…sort of.. bought Lola some new treats. Vegged in the afternoon and then went out to dinner. Had crab cakes for an appetizer and creole style catfish for my meal and a couple glasses of wine. Came home and watched the balance of the football game. Got lots of messages on FB, MFP, text, and calls, so overall it was a good day.

    Had a good day today but I know I'm going out again Saturday night, most likely will be drinks. So just a little all over the place, but will reign it in over the weekend.

    I am just starting w the microdose every other day bought capsules from fun guyz here in Toronto to try. Ridiculous brand name penis envy lol. Bought a bag of them separate too for next time I want to get a bit of a buzz on a night out (I hate weed though I do have 50/50 the cbd tablets for when I am stressed and having sleep issues . First go round with quitting drinking I was in a much worse place now it is not being cognizant and trying to stop myself before I have gone too far. The microdose I do every other day right now and I do notice the change mentally

    @WestCoastGirl_1 No thanks is right - I was just noting that I had the same behavior in the past. My SO and I also don't do much for thanksgiving anymore, and even if we did, the whole drinking while making dinner is something I've been slowly but steadily moving out of.

    @NonnieDoiron I get the frustration - Christmas Eve is a bit far away, and it's CHRISTMAS EVE !
    But on a happy note, 2.4 lbs down is wonderful. Congratulations on the loss!!!

    @SparkSpringtime69 I used to like having drinks while I was making holiday meals (and other recipes where there was quite a bit involved). But, fortunately, we never had company for the holiday meals. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been in the best of shape when the guests arrived. I'm doing good without drinking. I no longer feel the need to drink for every little event, project, or when I'm working around the house. Let's hope the feeling lasts.

    @NonnieDoiron Yes, Christmas Eve is a bit far away and as @SparkSpringtime69 commented, it is Christmas Eve. Did they offer to put you on a cancellation list? Sometimes, people cancel and you can get moved up. Congrats on your streak and your weight loss! Not drinking really does help when it comes to weight loss. I'm only on day 10, but I've already been losing weight. Some of the weight loss occurred before I had my first AF day. But I was cutting way back before that.

    Thanks @itladyee! I hope you had a nice Birthday!

    @Walela617 WTG Carole!

    For what it's worth, PE is a popular strain, not a brand. Checked out Fun Guyz website, pretty cool shop from the look of it. If you find the convenience worth the price, it looks like a solid option, but if you don't mind taking on a little effort and have the space for it, you can grow your own for a fraction of what they're charging. If you're interested, let me know and I'd be happy to give you a crash course - it's easier than I thought it would be, and I got two 16qt tubs up and running for about what Fun Guyz is charging for 4g; my first harvest yielded 25g and my second harvest from the same tubs is in the dehydrator as we speak. I'll be microdosing for a year with plenty to spare and the mycelium is still producing.

    @NonnieDoiron congrats on the 2.4 lbs recent weight loss. That is always very motivating!

    @GGinCA You can do this and @SparkSpringtime69 is going to join you along with me.

    @SparkSpringtime69 I'm glad you're feeling motivated. If I can do this…anyone can! I'm looking forward to seeing a checkmark on the spreadsheet! 😀

    @WestCoastGirl_1 and @globalhiker because the husband is… well… let’s just say “special”… I don’t think he asked to be put on a cancellation call list. He avoided talking to me yesterday and is at a competition today. (Side note: The boy child won best lifter!) I haven’t had a chance to ask yet if he did or if they mentioned it at all. But, I’ll probably be calling the office to ask WTF on Monday with him sitting next to me, so they can’t argue HIPAA with me.

    You are killing it!! So happy for you!

    I caved Friday night and had some red wine, but got right back on yesterday and vegged out with my flavored seltzers last night.

    Today is a test. Going to the football game.

    Happy Sunday, everyone!

    @chicbuc I'm glad you got another AF day. I've never been to a professional football game. I've, also, never been to Florida. But you must be going to the Miami game. I'll be watching the Seattle Seahawks on TV this afternoon.

    Enjoy the game!

    Skipped the wine last night as planned - had flavored hot teas and flavored sparkling water instead. Today I’m trying a new NA Hibiscus Berry sparking beverage by Mingle in my flute glass and will report back.

    I’m also going to research homemade holiday mocktails for what I’d like to serve for Thanksgiving - I’m having my daughter bring her soda machine and will make homemade syrups so we can plan for some yummy options. I’m thinking about venturing out from typical lime additives to maybe exotic lavender or something with an autumnal spin.
    We did this last year and it was a big hit especially with the 40 something’s who either already quit or rarely drink.

    May you find your best resolve if just for today!

    I'm not checking in very often these days, and I see some new user names, it's nice to have you on the journey.

    @NonnieDoiron, I'm so sorry to hear of your husband's cancer recurrence. You both have my prayers. (I wish it were possible for your MIL to move to assisted living. It would definitely help your stress level.) You're doing a great job resisting the wine under these conditions; stay strong, it would only feel better for 30 minutes and then it would feel worse.

    @WestCoastGirl_1, Congratulations on your alcohol free days. Every day is a step closer to long-term freedom. Stay strong. Hugs.

    @itladyee, as usual I'm late in adding my wishes to the others for your 65th birthday! It's a bit different from 16 or 21, but you're so much smarter and wiser. Thanks for all you do for us and for all the people in your "real" life. You make the world a better place, and that's an incredible legacy and contribution. sending you hugs and prayers.

    @itladyee I am glad you are blowing off the steam here and totally understand about the switcher-roo for Thanksgiving dinner. That would sting.
    And, I can validate all of your feelings of how you’d like the grandkids for this traditional special holiday at your home. I get it!

    Definitely sleep on it (or try) before responding. Is the other mother actually spiteful knowing you’ve hosted for 8 years? IDK but I wonder if your son and DIL might have approached you before accepting. I know my DIL does this as a mere courtesy to me. Or asks if we’re doing the same thing or changing it up. You deserve a voice in it.
    Keep us posted!
