I really wasn't in the mood to run again, and having some minor tummy issues, so I wasn't sure how far I would go. It turned out not to be too bad of a run. Avg pace was 12:35 min/mile. Avg HR was 114 with a max of 156 bpm. The walk was cool down back home from mom's.
I found a pile of discarded credit cards in the road. I brought them home and posted the name on Facebook, to see if any of my friends knows the person. I am assuming a wallet/purse was stolen and they only wanted the cash, but not sure why they would throw the cards out.

Afternoon all
Got in 5.5M at 10'10
@daria0919 - lovely pic of you two. And well done to your husband, after his surgery!
@Teresa502 hahahahahaha. A shot of Fireball!?!?! Not even I'd do something as ballsy (wreckless??) as that. And that puke musta been horrible for you. Got that kinda Hot Tamales candy aftertaste that stays in your burps for hours afterwards too!
(That said. Fireball not my worst in terms of 'shots'. Definitely Tequila. Hate the stuff! 🤢 )

Good morning! Finally got a 7 miler in today. My original goal was just to keep my HR avg down and I did keep it to 146. I think that it would have been in the 130's for the first half and then I get that creep. After yesterday's sprinting it was a lot slower but we are back to humid and warm again so pretty much another meltdown. I am ok with that as I sort of prefer the warm to the freezing.
Up to 63 miles out of 100 goal.
Congrats to everyone on their races yesterday! @daria0919 and @Teresa502 that is some good stuff. 👊😁
@quilteryoyo did you find their driver's license hopefully? I know when my purse was stolen it was later found intact except for cash but by then I had had to replace everything. sigh. I wish my avg hr could be 114~! that's super.

Oh yea. BTW expect BB changes next week. I like the way they say "some good news" but don't give us the bad which I guess we will see when it happens. I am going to miss the post count by user's names as sometimes that tells you how new they are and makes your responses different.

Scanned the thread and saw lots of familiar faces. I’ve been gone way too long. I’m not going to set a months goal, though I’ve been walking or running daily with my pup I’ve haven’t been consistently running, just getting back. I’m just going to put totals for November to date.
Running - 22.19
Walking - 17.68
Biking - 7.25
9 -
Uh oh....they are excited.
3 -
10km this afternoon, I faffed around a bit so started later than I would normally. I walked a bit of the last mile, I think I was just bored.
9/17 runs 60km/110km
6 -
I ran 6.15M at 12'19 along the waterfront at the harbor.
I lightly went down in a graceful tuck and roll about an hour in and there is some slight knee and elbow abrasion.
7 -
As long as you did it in style @chris_in_cal all is good 😁
I am loving all this commitment. I sing in a choir of 1, and according to my children it is best to keep it that way.
And wow, fireball and tequilla? If I have anything as wild as an OJ my run is suspect.
Still not found my groove yet. Run are getting better and had a good 4 mile parkrun yesterday. No run today as we went to London to drop off the hairy one for his holidays before we go on ours. The resolve to run will definitely be tested next week 🌞

Hi @skippygirlsmom 👋 yes it has been a long time! I know you have been active on Strava. How's Skip doing? I remember she was working somewhere in the sports field?
Awesome racing @Teresa502 and @daria0919
I got outside yesterday morning. Only 5 miles, and they were a lot harder than they should have been (I'm sensing a theme 😞)

Woke up to a lot of leg nerve pain this morning, did a bunch of my physio exercises & stretches, seemed to help a bit. Decided I'd move my planned early morning run to lunchtime to let my nerves relax a bit & in the meantime make breakfast.
Around noonish, did a slower than my usual 11'ish K treadmill run (I'm giving myself a 0.01 km bump) re-running part of the Boston Marathon segment. As I was feeling a bit tired, I decided to instead of skipping my planned run entirely, I'd just reduce the speed and plug on and see how I do. I did ok.
During my run I was watching the weather out the windows: the really strong winds on a cloudy day, a surprisingly vicious snow squall, a thunderstorm cloudburst, and unexpected sunshine - all within about 68 mins. November weather can certainly be entertaining.
The wind never died down, it was still gusting some surprises while I was walking around grocery shopping this afternoon a couple hours later; gusty days are making it feel like March.6 -

I ran 10.15 miles today. It was perfect weather. I saw several people playing disk golf at the park and walking their dogs. My run was good, but slow. It's hard to believe that I ran 13.1 miles last week at an average pace of 9:47, and today I had an average of 12:30 and I don't think I could have gone much faster even if I had tried.
I hope you aren't too sore from your tumble @chris_in_cal.
It's good to see you back @skippygirlsmom !
I kind of prefer the warmer weather too @SummerSkier.

@Scott6255 she’s doing good, I think I mentioned in the past that she moved to Charlotte area and is working with NASCAR. Hard to believe she’s 25, I think she was in 8th grade when I joined MFP.

I had such a great time meeting @daria0919! We got to hang out at the expo on Friday afternoon. The race weather on Saturday morning was perfect. We stayed about a 15-minute walk from the start area and were there in plenty of time before the start. We visited with a friend from Charleston and saw my co-worker, Carla (more about that later) and her BF who were running the 8-K. The starting corrals were a bit loose and most people started just wherever they wanted which was fine. The marathon started about 15 minutes before the 8-K and the Half Marathon. They staggered the start corrals and it took me about 15 minutes to get to the start line once the race started. My first four miles were the fastest as they were mostly city streets. During Mile 4 we went into a park and started hitting some hills. Almost all the way along the course there were people lining the streets cheering on family and random strangers. Bands (including a high school marching band) and DJs were also there to provide distraction. In addition to the aid stations, individuals had their own tables set up with everything including beer, liquor and Jello shots! My friend Carla had told me that she got her PR on this course and told me about drinking a shot of Fireball around Mile 11 which powered her through to the end. Well, dummy here, decided I needed a little boost so why not do the same? Now keep in mind that I rarely drink alcohol. Maybe once a year in a social setting, I will have a glass of wine or a cocktail. What was I thinking? 🙄The Fireball did not set well with my tummy at all. I made it about a mile before my mouth started excreting a large amount of salvia, I broke out in a cold sweat and I was looking for a way off the course! Thankfully, I was able to go down an alley where I was unseen, threw up a little, and set down for a few minutes until I felt steady enough to get back on the course. Luckily, the aid station at mile 10 was handing out cold, wet wash clothes and I still had mine so that came in handy. The last mile wasn't pretty and was definitely my slowest, but I did finish upright which was my main goal!😊My finish time was 2:29:20 so at least I kept it under 2:30 - barely!
I caught up with my friends after the race at our designated meeting point, got our drop bags, blanket, hat and medal. After we all showered, we walked around town for a while and then got a post-race at a pizza place (no alcohol for me!).
Welcome back @skippygirlsmom ! So glad Skip is doing well. Charlotte is a nice area. I hope she is enjoying the Nascar world.
7 -
OMG @Teresa502, that’s quite the race! I’m glad you finished upright!
I’m nursing tired legs today after a gentle 16km along the waterfront yesterday morning. It was very pleasant and I really enjoyed being out there amongst the millions of other runners embracing the lovely spring weather.
Pilates and a short run this morning - dead legs for both.

Nice runs @tarun_yadavA , and @ContraryMaryMary .
Thanks @SummerSkier . Unfortunately, there was no drivers license and I haven't heard from any of my friends that they know her. I'm gong to wait a week and then just shred it all. I'm sure she will have everything replaced by then. Great long run today!!!! Sounds like you're almost back to normal! Oh no to the updates. I am not good with changes to my technology.
I'm so glad to see you back @skippygirlsmom . I was thinking about you just the other day and wondered how you were doing.
You did great @username301 . I had to look up "faffed about" just to make sure I knew what you were talking about. 🤣
Great long run @chris_in_cal . Also glad you were able to tuck and roll and hope you don't feel too beat up tomorrow.
@TheMrWobbly Nice run today. Had to think a minute about your hairy one. LOL Have a great vacation.
At least you got outside @Scott6255 .
@John772016 Glad the nerve pain subsided and you got in a nice treadmill run. Funny about the weather entertainment. It was windy here today too.
Sounds like you are still recovering from your fantastic HM race @kgirlhart . You'll get back to your normal pace and effort in no time.
Sounds like a great, large race @Teresa502 . Congrats on making it in under 2:30, even with getting sick and having to sit a few minutes. Also glad you and @daria0919 were able to meet up.

Morning all
Got in 5.6M at 10'03
@Teresa502 love the story! Haha. Next time may I recommend an energy gel rather than cinnamon-y whiskey? Haha
@chris_in_cal lol love it! Hope you're ok
7 -
Oh I had the gels too @tarun_yadavA 🙄😏🤮 Next time, only the gels! Lol!
6 -
Good morning! I ran a 5 mile recovery run this morning. It was 34F and chilly.
Thanks for all the support and encouragement everyone!

Happy running everyone
Congrats on the race! @Teresa502 @daria0919
@ContraryMaryMary beaut concert!
98 of 190kms for the month
Went roadtripping on the weekend and did a couple of hikes. Winter is almost here.
Day 1 Kootenay Natl Park, didnt go far into the hike, can see avalanche hazards beginning to build. In the evening visited a natural hotspring, sulphur smells and all, sadly no pics as we went at night, balmy 39c in the waters and -5c air temp.
Day 2 Banff Natl Park, was an easy 10k trip to a lake..
8 -
Good morning!
@quilteryoyo I had an iFit account and a compatible treadmill (big screen and it even automatically adjusted incline). I enjoyed it…just prefered running outside.
Working on getting fully back on track. It hasn't stopped raining here since Wed and that killed the workout mood. I skipped Friday and this weekend was a big wedding so nothing else happened.
I have my gym clothes today. No run since the trails are ankle deep mud right now. Also going to start logging calories again. DH and I are not big holiday folks so it would be fun to loose a bit before the Jan restart LOL.

Nice runs & walks @kgirlhart, @Teresa502 (Congrats!!), @ContraryMaryMary, @quilteryoyo, @tarun_yadavA, @WarmJellyfish, & @nossmf!
As I read your Race report @Teresa502 I was immediately reminded of every run trainer I've every used saying, "Nothing new on Race Day!"; My condolences to you, that's always a uncomfortable thing to deal with during a race. Regardless of your friend's Fireball endorsement, you still had a fantastic result for your race!
Beautiful pics @WarmJellyfish! I was looking for some beautiful mountain views for an art class I'm doing, I should've reached out to you!
Re: Canada cold (a.k.a. - City edition - in the spoiler).
So yesterday was around 5⁰C (~40ish+⁰F), I had on boots, winter coat, & gloves and I was freezing the entire day, anywhere & everywhere I went (except underground).
Today, was around 1 ⁰C (~33⁰F), should be much colder, right?
I had on the exact same outer wear but added a heavy scarf, a heavy hoodie, warmer gloves.
I was boiling….the entire day.Posting 2 days.
