    Hi everyone,

Weighing in daily is maddening! I was 153.2, then 153.4, now 153.8 again! (I think I need to keep doing it though, to help me stay on track.)

On the plus side, my left hip and right foot pain is going away, little by little, each day. I need to do some indoor exercise to bump me of this plateau, though.

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

    💞Carole

My name is Donna. I am 65 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018. I weigh weekly but also on the 1st and last day of each month for a full month’s account.

Start Weight (from Oct 31st): 184.0

Goal Weight: 181.0 (3.0 lb Loss)

End of Challenge Final Weight: xxxxx

    Weight lost/gained this month: xxxxx

🔜🔜🔜🔜🔜Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)

    11/01-183.0 ✅ (Trend Weight: 184.1)

    11/02 – 183.0 ↔️ (Trend Weight – 184.1)

11/09 – 180.8 ✅ (Trend Weight – 183.5) I definitely did NOT make it through my travel day on the 4th unscathed, nor did I do that great during the mini-travel and restaurant, cake & ice cream for my daughter’s birthday celebration on the 6th. However, I’ve buckled down and am showing a little more loss each day since. When I get this close to a new decade I usually grab my bags and run the opposite way and start gaining. This is self-sabotage, of course. And some emotional feelings of not deserving it. This time I am standing my ground! I hope by next week I will be somewhere in the 170’s although I don’t feel confident in decades until I’ve reached the magical number of 7 just in front of the decimal point (177, 167, 157 etc.). I always need that room to breathe! We had our first snow last night and it’s still snowing like crazy. So beautiful right now in Northern Michigan. Enjoy your week everyone!

🦃🦃🦃🦃 11/16 – 180.2 ✅ (Trend Weight – 182.5) I met my November goal (by a thread) last week. I’ve held on with another bit of loss and a nice drop in my trend weight as well. Fighting tooth and nail and clawing my way to my numbers. It has not been easy but I’m hanging in there so far. Why does it have to be so tough when gaining is so easy? Sometimes all it takes is one meal, not even one day: Just one meal to turn everything upside down. I guess persistence is key. And consistency. I’m doing my best, just like the rest of you. We can do this, it’s just going to take a little time and a lot of sacrifice and stamina. See you next week.

    11/23 – xxxxx (Trend Weight – xxxxx)

    11/30 – xxxxx (Trend Weight – xxxxx)

If you can use spreadsheets, ignore the daily number. Just look at the average. Make a graph; watch the trend line. There's actually better methods than simple averages, but averaging works. I can go up or down many pounds daily. Up a pound today in fact. Yesterday down over a pound. Day before that up two. It takes a while to develop an insensitivity to the daily number, but it can be done. I hope you can do it. Daily weight gives more information.

@Walela617 I agree with mtaratoot that it is the trend weight that really shows what is happening. I always track mine. I also track my daily mainly to see how and why it is affecting that trend. It is like two pieces to a puzzle for me. I use trendweight.com to track my trends. It pairs with my fitbit so any updated weights in fitbit automatically show up in my graphs at trendweight.com.

Very helpful, @mtaratoot! I will try to add a tab to my tracking workbook to see if I can create a trendline chart. Today's weight this morning showed 152.8; so i felt better since it went down a pound. Thanks also for letting me know how to flag one of my posts for deletion! I week try that also.

    Have a nice evening,

I was seriously about to lose it this past week with this crazy flux in my weight. I literally saw the scale hit 184 on Tuesday! I ended up fasting with the exception of dinner on Wednesday and ate VERY minimally yesterday. Today, I’m where I want to be.

Can I lose 1.2 lbs during Thanksgiving week to meet my goal?🤔 We shall see!

    Hi everyone,

Happy (almost) Weekend! I'm off work today so my weekend starts now! My Fitbit sleep score was 87 for last night! (7h 56m), which is great for me. (I had plenty of deep sleep and REM; so the quality was good.) I haven't had any alcoholic beverages at all since 10/30; so I think that's a huge part of my improved sleep. My blood pressure and heart rate have gone down as well, averaging 1-teens over low 70's with HR averaging low 60's and often just under that at rest.

I am posting a little late this week, but here is my data from Wednesday: Original Start weight: 217.0 on 02/29/2008 (highest weight ever)

    November Start Weight: 155.8

November Goal Weight: 149.0 or less (lose 6.8 lbs.)

    Ultimate Goal Weight: 132-138

    November 05: 155.8

    November 12: 153.8

    November 19: 152.6

    November 30:

    Loss this week: 1.2 lbs.

Total November loss to date: 3.2 lbs.

Total loss for November: Up almost 1.5 pounds, but down a pound for the week at least. I'm now down 1.8 pounds for the year. That's so small, but since I'm still within a healthy weight range, maintaining should still be OK. It doesn't always feel like it, but I will keep sticking to it anyway.

    Hi everyone,

Did all my Thanksgiving shopping on Friday and Saturday. I will be staying in today, (safe at home base)!

I will be having Thanksgiving at the home of my son, Amer (42nd birthday yesterday!) and his wife, Laura. I will be bringing appetizers, sparkling cider, a candle and pumpkin pie. My son doesn't like turkey so we will be having Middle Eastern food on that day, but I bought a turkey breast for me ($8.00 for 4.47 lbs. at $2.79/lb.) so I can have roast turkey over that weekend. I also bought a bottle of "Fre" brand non-alcoholic Moscato wine and a bottle of diet ginger beer (also non-alcoholic). I'm thinking of trying this pumpkin cheesecake recipe:

    Screenshot_20251115_181912_Facebook.jpg

I might get some Light Cool Whip for a topping. Maybe put some chopped, roasted walnuts and sugar free Maple-flavored syrup (I like Cary's brand.)

    Enjoy your day,

    💞Carole

    11/09 – 180.8 ✅ (Trend Weight – 183.5)

11/16 – 180.2 ✅ (Trend Weight – 182.5) I met my November goal (by a thread) last week. I’ve held on with another bit of loss and a nice drop in my trend weight as well. Fighting tooth and nail and clawing my way to my numbers. It has not been easy but I’m hanging in there so far. Why does it have to be so tough when gaining is so easy? 🦃🦃🦃🦃11/23 – 178.2 ✅ (Trend Weight – 180.6) I’m 2 lbs down this week and also for the trend weight. It has been a good week after all although it had a bump or two. Our family Thanksgiving Feast will be on Saturday the 29th so I will probably not weigh in the next morning. I will either end my month on the 29th, (although I will also be attending a Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday the 27th) or I will come back on the 1st or 2nd which will give my bloat a chance to rectify itself. I want to start December with an accurate account, not a false high that makes it look like I’ve lost a lot of weight at the end of week 1. So my start weight/date for December will also be slightly different too. I’ll decide how to go about this later when I have more time to figure it out. As of right this minute, I am below my goal for November which was a 3.0 lb loss goal. I am actually down 5.8 lbs this morning for the month. It will be hard to hang onto that loss through the Holiday even with a day or two buffer. I must stay strong until the two dinner days. But there is also an out-of-town trip for shopping this week which means restaurant food and lots of sitting/driving. And my Grandson is turning 8 and his party is scheduled for Sunday the 30th. Oh, this week is tough!
