4348 Day Streak! Maintaining!

I lost over 55 lbs more than ten years ago using the MyFitnessPal app, and I’ve kept it off by logging every single day. I never miss…… ever. I record the good, the bad, and the ugly, and it works for me.

One of the things I’ve loved over the years is how much I’ve learned about food: what has which calories, what’s surprisingly high in sugar, and how my choices add up over time. That awareness has been huge.

My only complaint is all the changes the app has gone through in the back half of 2025. It’s been buggy and a bit counterintuitive. Still, I’m powering through it to keep my streak alive.

Congratulations: As you know, most people find keeping the weight off harder than losing it in the first place.

I'm similar, joined about a year after you did, lost around 50 pounds. I've been up and down a small number of pounds since, though all in the same jeans size, nothing remotely close to gaining it all back.

Besides learning a lot about food from my own experience here, I've learned a lot about nutrition, health and fitness from other people here in the Community.

    Best wishes for continuing thriving!

    I love these posts.

There’s so much negativity and “epic fail” posts that long term maintenance is “statistically impossible”.

And then along comes a unicorn like you to prove that keeping the unicorn horn to the grindstone can keep it possible.

“Grindstone” being an inappropriate word. The Habit Stone.
