😀 Melanie, I love where I live. I often look out the window or out the car window or when I'm walking and realize how many people have saved all year to travel to where I live. I did a fair amount of traveling when I was younger so I've seen a lot of the US and Canada and some spots in the Pacific and Far East, but I love it most where I live and am content to be where I am.

😀Margaret, my mother served Ocean Spray jellied cranberry sauce all the years I was growing up and I was horrified the first time I went to someone else's house and they had cranberry sauce made with whole berries and orange. Later when I was teaching first grade, we made cranberry sauce from whole berries as a class project. I still have a feeling of nostalgia about the jellied canned stuff but don't eat it because I know the ratio between sugar and nutrition.

😀 Michele, it's hard for two women to share a kitchen especially when they both have strong opinions about how things should be done. The only reason I've ever been able to cook in the same kitchen as my mother is for me to decide that we'll do it all her way.

😀 Lisa, congrats to you on having your exercise plan back on track.

😀 Handyman came yesterday to install the new doorbell and new smoke detector. Both projects involved testing the sound so the dogs were bonkers. They didn't settle down for more than an hour after he left. There seemed to more people than usual walking in the afternoon (sunny weather, and maybe guilt from overeating at Thanksgiving) so they had a lot of reasons to run to the door and windows and bark.

thanks- I am not sure it is my wisdom tooth- hard to tell when the whole side is throbbing. May be the back molar.

That is so scary to have a bear attack so close. Glad the lady had her dogs with her and she wasn't hurt any worse.

Yep Barbie, the group I'm in on FB talks about that too. This medicine mimics the receptors that manage appetite and feeling satiated. But unlike what our body makes, lasting minutes, this lasts a week. Until we take our next dose. So going off of it, your body returns to its old ways, food noise high, appetite suppression low. Pretty much all who go off of GLP-1's will gain their weight back. Hense the lifetime commitment, being on a maintenance dose forever. Some take the dose every other week, some that have been on it for years, and are on maintenance, take it monthly. Its unique to each person really. I like the fact that food isn't in the foreground of my life. Its importance minimised and not too much emotions attached to it. Not that I don't enjoy food, or that I eat without tasting.

Wowsa, some scary stuff in your neck of the woods! Be careful!

This site, its food diary, checking in weight wise, looking at reports, plus of course you all, has really helped me stay on target. There are times I unfollow my Zepbound group on FB, just too many silly posts of people wanting the members to tell them what to do, on how to give themselves the shot. Its like a hand palm to my head of silly, irresponsible people. Do your research! It drives me crazy. But I do post on there every so often.

Machka- I hadn't thought about the Christmas lights. I don't remember even having lights on tree....I will need to pull pictures. Congratulations on the successful bike event.

Rosemarie- We are so excited to hear your trip details.

Annie- We all think of you daily.

I mentioned retiring in the next 2ish years. My SIL laughed at me-smh. I said I don't mind still helping out but I want to have time. I want to travel, cross stitch, garden, read, exercise, take dance classes. She said you want to travel with your siblings. Yep! I also don't mind traveling solo though I might want a dog if driving lots solo. This world can be scary. I want to see my family and friends. I want to drive the coast lines. I want to visit Italy, England, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Holland, and Denmark. I want to go back to the Philippines. Most of those countries have been on my list since I was a child. Tasmania is new. I didn't realize it was a real country until Machka. I want to fly first class once (well twice round trip). I want to take a train trip. I want to take a cruise ( I am thinking river style). My DH is more comfortable at home. I feel sorry that his nor his sister's worlds are so limited and small. I am not saying that my home is not beautiful, but it is not an all in. There is so much to see and do.

Is there a succession plan for shop? Nope. I believe my son in law and Dana's granddaughter are the next generation. If so we need to set them up for success. When she wants to work she is awesome. I need to push her to notice things that need done. The shop/showroom don't clean themselves. At minimum, we need 2 more employees. I would really like 3 more. 1 parts and sales. 2 mechanics (getting rid of R). And I a part time pickup/delivery driver for Spring/Summer. Not my circus, but I am wrapped up in it. Need company policies written out. Gone are the days of just knowing everyone is working towards the success of the business. So on Wednesday, I cleaned the front counter area and reorganized. On Friday, I started washing windows in addition to paper work and customers. More of the productive procrastination. I am tired of looking at the mess. Yesterday morning I finished the windows in spite of the cold. I also cleaned off a door that was disgusting, and 5 shelving units. My SIL, gotta love her, asked if I had a cleaning hair up my butt? "It hasn't really been done since 2020, so yes, it is disgusting!" was my response. Her response to that……to go sit back at her desk- SMH. She did vacuum up the dirt off the rug from one of the shelves I cleaned off. OHHHHH! So helpful-lol! I did hand M the swifter and told her to dust the hanging items and the equipment. She did that but not the big equipment. Does no one see stuff that needs done? If I walked into a store that was as dirty as ours was, I would think hard about going back. I don't expect it to be hospital clean or deep cleaned in the Spring time, but I would like to hear folks say how clean it is. With the shelf cleaning, I got rid of a bunch of obsolete blades, making room for storage of other items. Just remembered I haven't done the Toro blade shelf yet. Anyway, I got dirty but the shop is looking much better!

Melanie and Michele- Thank you about my eyes. I had just said that to M when I saw the picture. Wow! They really are blue and sparkly. Thank you!

Mo- You should have my address. Check your messages. If not, check your mail as your card went out on Wednesday.

Rebecca and Rita- Looking good Ladies!

Margaret and Melanie- Love the sleigh pictures. I rode horses and have been on trail rides, but have never been in a horse drawn carriage. Maybe they will be out when we go to Indiana with friends in 2 weeks. If so I am going to suggest a ride. Have been going there for 40 years and have never been in the carriage. Thank you!

I have been trying to post this since yesterday morning, but hadn't gotten there. So I am going to post before Cali decides to type for me.

I LOVE the support and caring from all of you!

You are right….when someone doesn't post for a while we get concerned. I will do better!

Need to get my day started. Slept in until 630. Towels just finished tumbling, still have some chores to do, then more Christmas movies and cards.
