Hello ladies, back…a bit of a hiatus. Hope you are all keeping well. Will read the posts a bit later.

Lost 30lbs since May of 2025. I started at 210lbs.

Goal weight 120lbs by Sunday June 28, 2026. 2lbs per week. If I need to adjust that goal, I will. I'll see how it feels.

    Monday December 1, 2025 180lbs

    Thank you @RavenStCloud

    Keri, 72, 5’6”

    10/3: 241.9

10/9: 239.8 Okay got barely in the 230s - now to stay there and make progress losing.

    10/31: 242.8

    11/1: 244

    11/4: 241.8

    11/6: 239.2 Again got into the 230s

    12/3: 241

❄️What are you trying to achieve this month? What have you already achieved this year?

This month: I will continue to maintain my weight loss and try to lose so that I am into the 230s by next year

This year: I have maintained my weight loss. I think I have burned fat even when not losing weight. Until the statin issue I increased my strength. I am off all medications.

❄️How do you plan to celebrate the holidays and are there any strategies you will be putting in place to help you through?

I did well during Thanksgiving but Christmas is harder. December is harder:

    • My husband’s birthday
    • Our anniversary
    • Christmas involves more sweets than Thanksgiving

I am lowering my goals for this month. I was MIA at the end of November because I needed to concentrate on an important project. I didn’t cook. I didn’t exercise as much. I am still working on this project but I have to phase it now so there should be more time between the phases to cook healthy meals and exercise. So my main goal is to get my strength back from the weakness due to the statin issue, to maintain my weight or lose a small amount and get this work done I need to get done so I can go back to cooking and exercising more.

Here is my exercise plan to get back to my previous schedule.

❄️2 session a week of Aquafit (50+ minutes)

❄️1 sessions a week strength training including 4 sessions of PT

❄️work back up to 30 minutes of Japanese walking at least 2 times a week

❄️ after I have achieved other goals I hope to have 1 session per week - long walk (45-60 minutes)

❄️1 day of rest (as I get better Saturdays will often involve fun activities that often include longer walks).

    December Goals:

❄️ get my weight back in the 230s and stay there

    ❄️ drink more water

    ❄️ keep sugar intake low

❄️get back to making healthy meals at home with only 1 day a week meal out if needed.

    ❄️ see exercise plan above

❄️ increase general activity level (NEAT) with cooking, cleaning, gardening and taking the stairs to the basement once a day.

@RavenStCloud If no one else wants to take the lead I will make sure there is a thread each month but may not be so good at your wonderful monthly alliterations!

    Hi, Ruth here. 206 LB, 5' 5" 62 years

My goal for December is to maintain the daily discipline of using MFP to help me lose weight. Nothing is better than MFP for keeping me mindful of what I'm eating and motivated to exercise more.

My son is getting married in March and I really want to be down at least 15 lb by then. That gives me a goal of 1 lb a week. I had lost 10 lb before the summer, in preparation for a trip to Newfoundland (and all the hiking we would do). Unfortunately, I've gotten lax since then and it all came back on so quickly. ☹️ But here's to new beginnings! I saw your group and really need the community, motivation, and accountability.
