I know next to nothing but really want a lift and implant, so thank you for posting this thread and thank you to the ladies that responded.

I did have a friend when I was 19 who had implants. She had the J-Lo thing going for her before, nice rounded booty and A cup boobs. She went up to a C cup and until it slipped out at a party one night, I never guessed they were fake...she had the most perfect hour glass figure and they looked normal to me

LOL slipped out? Uh oh, hope mine wont ever do that haha

my sister-in-law got saline and went from a small A cup to a D. they look huge and disproportionate to her body. make sure you have a reputable surgeon. she said pain was 10X worse than her c-sections. my mom's friend got silicone and it started leaking. didn't cause her any harm, just was lopsided until she got it fixed. went to saline. GL with whatever you decide.

I have made the decision to get the implants. I have my consultation booked for Monday-Im incredibly excited. I lost 35lbs and much of my body fat percentage went down, resulting in a flat(ter) chest. I need opinions from those who have breast implants. I dont want any negativity asking me "WHY??" or telling me I should not. Its my personal decision and I am asking for advice on what to get, not IF i should get.

Should I go the saline route (which is cheaper) or the silicone route (about $1,000 more expensive)? I have heard that with silicone, the breasts are more realistic looking and feeling and that gravity (pregnancy and breastfeeding) wont affect them. With saline, Ive heard that they are more fake looking and that they cause "ripples" in the skin between the boobs and dont last as long. Im going under the armpit and under the muscle. I just need to figure out which one to get, which of course the doctor will explain but I want a womans point of view whos actually had them!

Im about a large B cup now, wanting either a large C or small D.

And how was recovery? Bad? Good? Ok?

I know that I wont be able to workout for a while :(

    Thanks for your input!!
Well having watched enough porn to see it, saline implants IMO aren't as natural looking. I've also felt the difference on females who have had both saline and silicone implants (my clients trust me!!!) and the silicone feels much more natural. And get the C IMO. Having worked with Fitness and Figure models, D's look unnatural and the idea to implants is not to look unnatural.

They look bigger here because they are pushed somewhat up and in a small top. I tried lol. I want more of a CLEAVAGE. I dont want to go crazy big. Just a little bit bigger. They are also not the same size, which of course most boobs arent.
C should be plenty on your petite frame.

I used the same Doctor about 14 yrs ago for my implants. At the time only saline was available. Did everything that he suggested and my recovery was quick and not as painful as most. Would recommend these Doctors to anyone considering implants. Good Luck!!

I also wouldn't go higher than C. I have a 32C and mine are 330cc. I can still fit in size small shirts, and I can go either way. Most people wouldn't know I have them unless I have them "on display". LOL The smaller and more petite you are, the dumber they look if they are too big IMO.

I spent aroun 3800 on my saline. Saline implants are filled to a precise size by your doctor. This gives him the ability to produce a better result. Mine were the "high profile" breast implant...have the lowest base width coverage but the most outward projection, creating a very attractive, sexy look. Silicone implants do not allow for this; all silicone implants come pre-filled in manufacturer standardized sizes. Saline actually allows you to more precisely control the look you want, since your doctor chooses the fill amount instead of factory standardized silicone implant sizing. Saline implant shells are inserted first and then filled, resulting in minimal incision scarring compared to silicone. Another reason I got saline is because they are Safer. If a saline implants leak, the sterile saline solution is absorbed by the body without harm.. Saline implant leakage is also easy to detect as it results in a quick deflation of the implant. Silicone implants leak slowly, because the gel is thicker. This makes leakages much harder to detect, which is particularly harmful because silicone can migrate to other parts of the body if the leakage is not caught in time. saline implants are lighter than silicone implants of the same size....and after getting mine done I am glad I went this route bc on some days they hurt my back!

& SALINE IMPLANTS DO NOT LOOK FAKE! I have very few ppl even ask if I have had mine done...if you didn't know me you wouldn't even know I had a boob job. Women getting 700cc and lower implants shouldn’t be concerned about looking “fake” (unless you desire the “Pam” look, of course). I went from a full 34 B to a 34 D, sometimes DD.My implant size was 380 CC, Right filled to a volume of 380CC and 450CC in my left...my right was smaller pre surgery..

TIP: Do not listen to anyone who tells you to go a little bigger or even the DR. I have several friends who only went a few CC's up and they look very misproportioned. The DR tried getting me to go bigger, but I said no I didn't want mine to be so noticeable...just to look better in shirts and baithing suits...and I am so glad that I didn't listen bc looking at them now, somedays I even think I wish I went smaller...If you are petite they are hard to get used to..I feel like I am chubbier now, when i am not..lol

Also, my recovery was horrible. Either I am a tit when it comes to pain or I just didn't know what was coming. I have never been in so much pain in my life. LOL My boyfriend would literally have to come to the room and lift me uo because I couldn't use any of my upper body strength or I would SCREAM bloody murder! LOL...I got mine done on a Thursday and went to class on Monday....but it didn't take me till probably 1 or 2 weeks to feel like I could go bra shopping and not wear the comfortable bra they provided. lol

    SO MY OPINION IS SALINE!!!!!!!

SILICONE! honestly, why would you get ugly looking fake boobs when you can have real looking fake boobs? youre aleady spending tons of money, so why not go realistic so people wont have to guess if theyre fake or not

Mine aren't "ugly looking fake boobs" I have so many compliments on mine when I have to tell someone I paid for them. So..I don't know what you are referring to as ugly.

While I know you are set on getting the implants, I will say that your breasts are very nice as is. You have a smaller frame and if you go much larger it's going to be obvious that they are fake so take caution there. You certainly should look at the "lift" option because for some people, a lift DOES give them the appearance of being larger, but not always.

If you absolutely MUST get implants, for the love of all that is holy, get SALINE. There have been far too many problems with silicone and I cannot believe that they are still being used. Also, bear in mind that you may be able to afford the implants now but will you be able to afford the touch-up surgery that they will require 7-12 years down the road and every 7-12 years thereafter? Remember this is NOT a one time thing, it is a lifetime commitment.

I agree with you. Saline is the way to go. After all the research I did and opinions Silicone has so many problems that come with it. I had a friend who started out with silicone and it leaked into her body and she was so sick, she didn't even know what it was from...if it were saline you would know because it would lose volume. & yes going back and getting them redone is something you have to think about. My Dr says its usally 10 years..

From a guy's perspective, silicone feels MUCH better. Saline feels gross, like a water balloon strapped to your chest - way to hard.

The new "gummi" ones are promising.

    Hi there,

I work at the Royal Centre of Plastic Surgery. Have you ever considered Cohesive Gel implants?
These are by far the most natural, advanced implant offered anywhere. Yes, pricier, but as all of our clients say it's worth the extra money.

We don't offer silicone implants. Too much of a "bad rap"

Saline implants are risky as well. You risk leakage or rupture.

Read this post from a plastic surgery "veteran" about cohesive gel or "gummy bear" implants :)

It's probably been said a bunch but go with silicone, your body will accept it much faster. Good luck!
