What day do you weigh in? and why?

I weigh myself once per week on Fridays, no particular reason for Fridays other than it's easiest for me to remember. Something to look forward to..the start of the weekend and weight check.0

I weigh in on Wednesday. I never really thought about why, but I guess it gives me time to recover from bad eating (usually high sodium) that occurs more often on the weekend.0
-
Usually Fridays- because Thursday is usually a rest day for me so I eat earlier in the evening, and also my muscles aren't holding onto water after exercise. If Wednesday happens to be my rest day then I will do it on a Thurs.
I also like doing it before the weekend so I can indulge a little and get back on track by Monday.0 -
I weigh in on Sunday morning, mostly because I tend to keep to my limit better Saturday knowing the big weigh in is in the morning. I usually put in more serious workout time on Sat. just to squeak in a few more calories burned.0

I weigh-in every Saturday morning, because I usually have a little more free time on Saturdays before I have to be somewhere or start something. If I can't do my weigh-in I simply skip it for that week. I also do all my measurements at the same time (Neck, Left Bicep, Chest, Waist, Hips, and Left Thigh). I always record the results up/down/good/bad/indifferent. I always weight-in immediately after I get up and use the toilet, then shower, then measurements.0

Friday morning, after first pee. Before the weekend.0

Friday mornings because sometimes I get together with friends on the weekends. Even though I don't normally splurge in those situations I still usually throw in extra exercise and do some calorie shuffling just in case we do out. I prefer to weigh in on a day that has a number of "average" days in front of it and that definitely would be a Friday morning.0

I started doing it on fridays but then switched to monday. i found that if i did it on friday i had a tendancy to "cheat" through the weekend because i knew i had another 5 days to make up for it. With monday i feel bad if i cheat over the weekend because i dont want to make that scale go back up so i am less likely to "cheat". lol silly way of thinking but hey it works for me:)0

I weigh in on Saturday mornings before breakfast so I can see how I've done throughout the week and then not feel too bad over the weekend if I do have a few naughty things! But tinksmommy you make a good point, But I just think if I gained at the start of the week it would do the opposite to me it would de-motivate me for the rest of the week.0

I weigh in on Sunday mornings. That way I'm not cheated by eating weekend food! I don't count my weigh in's really since the idea is to weigh myself once a month on the 22nd. It is the anniversary of the death of my best friend who died at 31 leaving his wife and 1 month old son. I am doing my lifestyle change because I promised him I would before he died. He wanted m eto live longer and healthier because I have the chance to when he didn't and he wants me to keep an eye on his son for him!0

I weigh in every morning when I first wake up. My weight fluctuates a lot throughout the week, so I only record when I see I've lost weight. But the weight at the beginning of the day is your true weight.
Same here...mostly because I work out in the mornings and like to enter my current weight in the cardio machines for a more accurate burn (as accurate as those things can be). I only update MFP when I've lost, and then only after I've seen that lower number for at least two mornings in a row.0 -
I weigh in on Mondays. Mostly because I think that everything should start at the beginning of the month/week. I was going to switch to Friday, but I think that weigh in on Monday keeps me from going crazy on the weekends.0

I weigh in every morning...right now I'm losing lot's of water weight so its kind of exciting to see some come off so quickly.
When I've dieted before if I weighed every day I stayed on course...it was after I stopped weighing in that the pounds crept back.0 -
I weigh myself every morning first thing after pee. I log the weight if it is a loss, but don't record gains unless it has been greater than 2-3 days. Weighing myself every day works for me, but I understand it's not for everyone. I like to see a general trend downward. As long as that is true, I know that what I'm doing is working... I do an official weigh-in where I do measurements & BF% every Saturday morning. That gives me some additional parameters to monitor so that I am not obsessing over the scale weight. Saturday is also a good day for me b/c I take "free meals" over the weekend. That gives me Mon-Fri of eating clean & exercising to lose anything that I previously gained.0

My official weigh-in is Wednesday mornings...give me a chance to recover from indulgence on the weekends, and it also gives me something to look forward to in the middle of the week! I do tend to cheat and "peek" other days of the week though0
-
Monday, cause it's the start of the week. I use it to let me know my progress for the week, and how bad any slip-ups hurt me or didn't hurt me. Plus I go grocery shopping early in the week so it lets me know if I'm on the right track when planning my weekly meals.0

I weigh myself everyday when I wake up. I do this partially because of my type of personality and the other reason is so that I am aware of what type of water weight I have gained from eating something that I shouldn't have and it makes me realize to make wiser choices and to stay focused.0
-
Wednesday is my WI. I like it because I can make up for bad decisions from the weekend or prepare for it.0
-
I only log my official weight on Wednesdays every 4 weeks (I have a lot of 'monthly' fluctuation). My rationale for Wednesday is that I lift weights on Wednesday and Friday evenings so weighing on Wednesday morning means I'm not retaining water from muscle repair, and it's a few days removed from the weekend since I tend to not eat as much fiber, drink as much water, etc over the weekends as I do during the week.0

Guilty of OCD myself..... every morning when I get up. I hold myself to maintaining the weight for 3 days, before I will record it though.0
-
I weigh myself every day, but my "official weigh-in" is on Mondays. This is to keep my focused on my diet over the weekend!!!
me too.0 -
I weigh in on Friday morning because I believe I will be at my lowest for the week since I drink on the weekends!~ :drinker:0
-
I weigh daily, but the one that counts is Monday. I figure after the weekend is when I'd be my heaviest.0
