Hello Hotties

Since there is no easy way to email everyone I went ahead and set up this, I hope it is ok. I think it will make it easier to communicate as a group.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and getting your workouts in.

Hello! Thank you for creating this post!
My name is Julie. I'm 25 years old. I got married about a year and a half ago to my high school sweetheart. I'm a special education teacher at an elementary school. I am also going to school to get my masters in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I lost 80 pounds using MFP and then lost all my motivation and started gaining. I've managed to keep the gain to a minimum, but I haven't lost in quite a while. I'm ready to lose again!
I have an issue with my arm right now that limits what I can do. The doctors have been trying to figure it out for a while, without much success! I'm still going to push myself and do everything I can!
  • Hey all my hotties! Super excited to get started on this! So glad I have a group full of beautiful, hard working, WOMEN! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and help keep us motivated! I am a very sarcastic person and have been told more than once that I'm too nice. I have also just joined up a friend to mfp, lynn8108! She's gonna help keep me motivated the same way you all help me stay motivated! Let's kick butt girls!!!

STAY STRONG. STAY FOCUSED. STAY POSITIVE!!!

Good Sunday morning my friends! I got up and walk/ran 2 miles with one of my dogs. Since that now is done in 30 minutes (including pee stops for the dog) I am going to have to map out a new route that goes further.

JoyaM is super excited to be my Jillian, and Jillian for all of you as well if you want. Just friend her. She is here in Reno right now, so she might need to come use my computer to accept your requests, since she usually lives in VA. But thats no problem.

We have a party today with the kids for halloween. And I have to go do some household shopping and get my housecleaning done, and the usual chores. Will aim for another walk tonight with the other dog, and then this week JoyaM will be here training me. Woo hoo!

Hope you guys have a great day. Eat healthy, drink lots of water, and lets get moving. We are already hotties, we are just getting more hottified!
  • All right ladies! It's our time to shine now! I'm going to ask that everyone (myself included) post nightly, or as soon as you are able, your miles walked and your ounces of water drank. I have total confidence that we will rock at this challenge. I drink water 90% of my day so it won't be too much to make it 100%. If you are having a hard time getting your miles or water in please talk to me or one or all of your team members. We are here for each other! I'm going to ask you guys to make my life a little easier, and submit a pm to me by saturday 2pm east coast with your weekly totals on miles and water. I will add them up and submit to mm in plenty of time. WE CAN DO THIS!

Remember hotties: STAY STRONG. STAY FOCUSED. STAY POSITIVE!

    No worries Captain!

I will be waking up early to walk/run. My route is already 2 miles. I am going to go get in the car right now to map out the addition .8. That way I meet my challenge in the morning and am free in the evening to pick up slack for anyone else who needs it. Water is no prob for me either. I am already at 120 oz a day (being on a water pill has SOME advantages) so I can always contribute to someone else there too.

As long as you let me know I need to do it, I can help out. Please dont make us be the burpee team next week! LOL!

I love you Hotties. We can definitely kick some fatcel's *kitten*.

Hello ladies, I hope everyone had a great weekend.

I had my husband take pictures of me yesterday, we have done this close to the first for the last few months. I really recommend it so you can see the difference even when the scale is not moving. And I decided to post one as my profile picture. I don't look good yet, but I log onto MFP everyday and will see the photo to remind me why I need to go workout.

I shouldn't have a problem getting my water or share of the miles in for the week. I usually drink close to 100 oz of water a day already. I have thought about trying to gradually increase that because on the days I only drink around 80 oz I get a dry mouth and get a slight headache. I'll check in with ounces and miles tonight.

Krystal: It sound like you don't usually eat breakfast. Have you ever heard of intermittent fasting, specifically leangains? You fast for 16 hours and then eat during an 8 hour window. There is research that showes your REE (resting energy expenditure) goes up for the first 72 hours of fasting. If your interested you can get more info at
    http://www.leangains.com/ &
    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/348521-intermittent-fasting-support-group?hl=fasting
I'm not saying you should do this. There is always research & people telling us what we are supposed to do for both sides. It is our job to figure out what works best for our bodies.

Have a Happy Halloween everyone and stay away from the candy.
  • Ok, it's 8:30 here in Ohio and I have drank 118.5 oz of water for today and I walked 3 miles today. Hoping everyone had a good day! I sent you all a message with my cell number in it. I am all in on this! Please use the number if you need to! Love ya Hotties!!! Did anyone else notice that after adding the water now you have to pee like a pregnant lady??? Man like every 20mins LOL

Ok, I did 3.8 miles today and drank 160 oz of water. That is the plain stuff. I didnt count the diet coke (like I wanted to) and I passed up the candy temptation. So Hotties, hope you all had awesome halloweens, I am off to bed.

    Hello ladies!

Sorry, I will be 100% honest, I'm seldomly on Facebook or MFP to make posts, so please don't think that I am ignoring anyone or that I've disappareard! My children and my job keep me EXTREMELY busy and usually the last thing I want to do when I get home is get on my laptop!

I am married to the love of my life and my best friend. We just celebrated 13 years marriage in September and we have been together for 15 years. We have two beautiful children, Tyler who is 11 and Carly who is 8. Tyler plays baseball, football and now basketball and Carly is a competitive cheerleader. I also lead the fundraising efforts for Carly's team which also keeps me very busy!

I work at a large processor as a Process Owner for all issues within our organization. I work long days and evenings and sometimes on the weekend. As you can imagine with a large corporation, there are lots of issues so managing them not only sometimes is stressful but also very tiring!

I do my best to get my exercise in with my kids either on walks or we will all work out in the living room together or in the basement on the Wii. They are awesome coaches!

I'm sorry that I don't get to post often but please know that I am thinking of all you. I'll bookmark this page in my phone so I remember to post!

I'm going to be really honest here....I completely sabotaged myself yesterday. I had a very rough night with some arm pain and ended up eating my emotions. I've got to learn to control myself in situations like that. Today is a new day and I planned out my snacks this morning so I wouldn't be as tempted and ruin it like yesterday. I'm doing much better. I finished yesterday with 184 ounces of water! I'm at 80 today and have many hours left to my day. I hope you are all doing great!
  • Ok Check in time ladies:
It's 9:30 here in Ohio and I have walked 5 miles and drank 118 oz of water

I do not have everyone's stats for last night and today... Please either post here or PM me... I Need to make sure we are getting our goals met! Also I was challenged by the other team captains to have our team do the 100 push ups that were assigned as another teams penalty... I ACCEPTED the challenge! That's only 20 pushups each and we will be over the 100! I am copy/pasting this and sending it pm to everyone. When I get all our stats I will post them here! Have a great night Hotties!

STAY STRONG. STAY FOCUSED. STAY POSITIVE!!

    Water- 152 ounces
    Miles walked yesterday- 2.45
    Miles walked today- 5.5

As for the push-up challenge, I can't do push-ups. I have a majorly screwed up arm right now. Can anyone give me another idea for something similar that doesn't require both arms? I want to do my part to help, but I cannot put weight on this one arm. Any ideas?
  • Have you tried elevated push ups with one arm? (against the wall or on a table) If you are unable I will do your 20 :)
  • BTW- You Hotties ROCK!!! Thanks for posting this info for me!! We are on track!! I did 3 miles and 118 oz yesterday and 5 push ups, 5 miles and 118 oz today! Please don't forget to total up all your stats from Mon-Sat and have then to me in a pm by 1pm eastern time. So I can turn them in. That means your weight too. We will not be the lowest percentage of weight loss right girls!!!??

Well, with the increase in exercise and water I actually gained 3 lbs. But it WILL come off by Saturday. It will, it will, it will. LOL!

I just did 30 wall push ups. I agree with the girl on the other team that since wall ones are easier we should do 150. So I will give you 150 push ups this week at least. I am hoping actually to do more. My room mate taught me how to do them tonight and he swears I can do another 30 before bed. We will see! The first 30 were pretty hard....But I am also pretty determined to get sexy, and if this helps, I will do it.

Happy Tuesday night ladies. I am off to try to do more push ups, shower and bed. My phone will begin singing to me in 8 hours to wake me for my morning walk/run. I am loving this increase in exercise!

  • Hey Hotties! I was informed that we have lost KathyRice as a team member... :((( We wish her well in her weight loss journey and will continue to root for her! But we have gained a new team member!! Please everyone friend valarie1972! She is our new hottie! This is the modified version of the pm I just sent you all.
I walked 3 miles today, did 25 push ups, and drank 128 oz of water today! :) I do have a some very sore callouses on my foot, but ladies I will not give up!! It may take me a little longer but I will still be walking my 3 miles daily.
My totals so far are as follows-
    water- 365oz since Monday
    miles- 11 miles since Monday
    push ups- 30 since Tuesday
I am dedicated to our team! I stepped on the scale unofficially today and am down 2.5lbs so far! Keep up the good work Hotties!!!

    Hi everyone!

I am just getting home from work so havent done my pushups yet, but here is where I am:

    Walking 10 miles (3.5 today)
Pushups 30 (wall kind - will do 30 tonight and every night until 150 done)
Water - Ugggh! I am floating! I am at 120 oz today - probably 430 oz this week so far and I am not done tonight. If I could count diet coke it would be even higher.

No weight loss for me yet. I peeked this morning. I dont know why, but I can go up to 2 weeks with zero loss and then lose 5 or more pounds over night. Weird. Now I have to put away halloween so will be offline. Have a great night ladies!

    Miles:
    Mon: 2.44
    Tue: 5.56
    Wed: 3.75
    Total--11.75

    Water:
    Mon: 80oz
    Tue: 132oz
    Wed: 160oz
    Total--372oz

    Pushups: 40

I've been on a plateau for about 2 1/2 weeks but this morning the number on the scale went down. I'm not sure if it was all the extra water or what but I decide to drink as much as I could today. It was really easy.

Valarie: If you know how many miles you completed on the elliptical, then you can those miles. I copied this from the challenge:

"These can be walked or run (an elliptical machine that keeps track of miles would also count)"

Sorry ladies, my *kitten* hurts today! All the jogging. So I only logged 3 miles today, 160 oz water and 30 wall pushups. I will try to do more walking tomorrow. I am treadmill bound now because the weather turned ugly tonight. I can hear the rain. By morning it will be ice. Aacckk! But the treadmill does monitor speed and distance. I am aiming for 4 miles tomorrow if my gluts allow.

JoyaM, our Jillian, has been super busy. I havent even seen her since Monday. But if you haven't friended her yet, please do. Starting Monday she is all ours. Saturday morning (late AM or early afternoon for you East Coasters) she will be training me at my house. If any of you have questions and/or want to skype, let me know. I can set the laptop on the couch while she trains me and she can show any of us anything, answer questions, etc. I know she would love it.

So, I am off to bed now. At 8pm. Crazy! I am hoping for a weight loss this week. I deserve one...but I never know. I just want to walk up Saturday and have lost. I hate my wacky body and how it loses. So send happy weight loss vibes my way.

Hope you guys are having great weeks. I send you lots of motivation and determination, smiles and laughter.
