I think I just found dinner for tonight. :-)
I need a reason to by a new muffin tray anyway.0 -
I'll make these tomorrow but will cut the recipe in half since I'll be the only one eating them (we had chicken pot pie not too long ago and the fam isn't ready to eat pot pie again)

not ready for pot pies? But homemade ones are different ones ,aren't they?0
-
They don't love pot pies as much as I do LOL so they need a break.
Too soon to make them eat it again.
Homemade pot pies are way better hands down.. less sodium too!

I just made these for dinner... WOW! they are tastey. I am a picky eater so I am very impressed how they turned out to where even I loved them.0
-
I cannot wait to make these 2morrow.
Thanks for the review!

I think next time I make these I'll have to flatten out the bisquits a little more using a rolling pin I used the jumbo sized ones and just pressed the bisquits into the muffin pan and found that was fine and all but I think I'll try next time to make a cover.
I also found that next time I'll cut the chicken bits. The chunks were normal bite size but I think for the purpose of the pot pies they need to be cut up a little more.
overall it turned out great. Very impressed for the first time.
also maybe next time I'll serve them with a side of mashed potatoes.
My husband wants them again sometime.0 -
I made these today and they were sooo yummy, fast & easy to make.
Hubbz and kids ended up eating some and loved them.
I used turkey breast instead.
I skipped on the cheese(on mine) & parsley (I didn't have any).
I would love to use the biscuit in the muffin tins idea for a breakfast dish.
Mix some scrambled eggs, turkey bacon & sprinkle with cheese... :glasses:

oh wow!!! they sound sooo good!
and thanks for the extra tip and reviews too!!! My hubby loves my homemade chicken pot pie, I bet he likes these too....maybe even my son! kids see mini things like a treat LOL....if I gave him a slab of pot pie he'd look at me like I was torturing him, but if it comes in a cute little pie from he just might enjoy it more lol!
thanks again!

I"ll try the eggs next time! How would that work, scamble the eggs before putting them in the bisquit?0 -
Yup, scramble the eggs and mix in some turkey bacon or whatever you want (already cooked and crispy) then pour in the biscuits. Sprinkle the cheese and voila!
~Joanna:flowerforyou:0 -
are the biscuits cooked or do you pour the ingredients in and then cook it into the biscuits?0
-
You pour the ingredients in and let the bicuit cook with everything in it.

These are amazing! I told my mom about them, who's a cook, and she was coming up with all sorts of ideas, like quiche, and eggs, and beef pies, all sorts of stuff! Thanks Healthier _Me this was a great ideas. My boyfriend really loves the inside mix and wants me to try just that over some barley! Thanks again0

I finally made them.....fantastic!0

Okay, I made these last night and they are great! My only question is how are the rest of you making them with only 90 calories each? I bought the low fat Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits but they have 140 calories before any of the other ingredients are added. Did I buy the wrong biscuits?0

I believe there are biscuits that are like 50 or 60 calories each. They are the smaller ones. I am not 100% here, but I seem to remember buying some like that before.0 -
 YUM!!0

I buy biscuits that are 100 calories per serving which are 2 biscuits.
You have to look at the serving size.

These do sound good!!
I went to aimees adventures website. Did you purchase one of her cookbooks and is it worth it? I was thinking about it, but I am a picky eater and did not know if she uses mostly real food and not weird diet food in her books. Thanks, HH:flowerforyou:0 -
I love her website.
So many yummy recipes.
No, I didn't purchase her cookbook.
She has tons of recipes on her website.

I dont' see how these are 90 calories, but the fact that I made them and I can put as little or as much as I want into the little biscuit is fine.
I made these (again) last night, still yummy. I only ate one and a glass of milk and that was my dinner0 -
I have no idea either so I will be using sparkpeoples recipe calculator next time I make this.
They are so worth it though. Very filling too.
This morning I used the biscuit concept to make my breakfast.
Made scramble w/ some egg beaters & crumbled some turkey bacon, pressed the biscuit in the muffin tin, spooned in some scramble, added the crumbled tueky bacon top.. baked it until biscuits were brown, added some Laughing Cow light swiss cheese ontop... the cheese melted and they were sooo yummy... 2 biscuits filled with everything for 193 cals:happy:
