My Personal Challenge - Anyone want to join me?

After taking a long 1 1/2 month break, and backsliding drastically I need a new commitment and challenge. I've got a new goal - when I first started with Dr.Phil years ago - my goals were in 2 pound increments - so I'm gonna blast off 2 pounds by the end of November. ( that's what I gained in the last 1 1/2 months) I know I'll have to work like it's 8 pounds though, I haven't been losing very easily and I'm close to healthy weight, but I want to be strong too like I was getting at the end of September.
I keep telling myself I'll do the 30 Day Shred but It doesn't inspire me so I'm committing to 30 mins of something everyday whatever I'm in the mood for. Walking, biking, 30 day shred, or other video.
And I will log in my food no matter what. Binges (hopefully none but I can't promise) will be logged as well. I've found myself logging breakfast then snacking way too much and feeling guilty and not wanting to admit what I've done so just not bothering to log anymore.
So there's my challenge - I've set goals for myself and am accountable to me - I'd love some encouraging and inspiring friends to do it with me too. Just make some goals for yourself My end date is November 30th I'll report back each Saturday until then.
Starting Weight 157.6
Goal Weight 155.6
Excersize 30 minutes minimum each day (yoga at least on a rest day)
Log everything.
I already have one friend in on this with me, are there any other takers?

Hi,
I'd like to join too. I'm concerned that I'm hitting a plateau, so this would help keep me focused. Whilst I'd be happy to lose 2 lbs, my goal is 2 kg by the end of the month:
Starting weight: 191.1 lbs (86.7 kg)
Goal weight: 186.7 lbs (84.7 kg)0 -
I managed to get the baby out for a walk with me this morning...burned 830 cals in 75 mins...we walked around the whole lake...nice fall day here in NY
My starting weight is 137 ...I will update my signature for the challenge0 -
So here's my list of Challengers and their goals- If I don't have some of your info and you'd rather I didn't that's okay too - It's your challenge - just stick with it and let us know at the end if you met your goals. If you want to send me any missing info you can message me and I'll put it in next Sunday's update.

For me this challenge is about being consistent. I've let myself backslide too much this last month and I was so proud of myself before- I was tossing away too big clothes and I was able to do real pushups among many other accomplishments but something got in the way - busy working life with kids and other things, I had found the strength and time before - I can and will again. I really want to feel good about myself at Xmas and New Years.0 -
Mc Heather i have let my self slide too...i was 135 which is the lowest i have ever been than i can remember ...weighing in at 137 totally depressed me...I am on vacation this week and am going to try to schedule some hikes even though it is a little chilly for me and my 2 year old...hoping for a great week!0

Can I be in?
GOALS: continue exercising/walking for at least 30 minutes, up to 1 hour, daily with my dog (if walking)
stick to portion control, especially with the Holidays coming up
no eating after 8:00
I've been doing good so far. These are my diet goals right now. New to this (and only my 3rd post) The daily logging in is super helpful in keeping on track. My PCP had actually recommended MFP to me, but I had already started here0 -
Count me in!
I fear that I could backslide at any minute, so a challenge should keep me inspired enough to actually do what needs to be done.0 -
OK I just got off my butt and did 30 min. on my treadmill at an incline (don't know the percent it doesnt' say but as high as it will go for me) and at a 3.0. I said WHY sit here and search teh forums. Get your A** up and move. I feel great now. Hoping to do it in the AM also before I have to get ready.0
-
Yes I am want to get under the 200 mark!0
-
Worked yesterday - and got to work 15 min. early so I very briskly walked around the parking lot 4 times - sure felt good!!0
-
Got my butt up this AM and did a walk/run for 15. WOOHOO0
-
Good for you! I have contemplated getting up earlier to do some yoga, but I really want my sleep. For now, I'm taking my dog and we're going walking when I get home from work. We did 49 minutes today (1.6 miles according to an app on my phone). Tomorrow maybe I'll go further to up it to 2 miles. He's getting better at walking and less stopping to smell every tree, plant and patch of grass
Met goals for today, but did go over a little in calories--shouldn't have nibbled on a couple pieces of hard pretzel--that 30 calories put me over.0 -
karenmetfan...dogs are so funny with the sniffing lol!
I am on vactation this week and we hit the museum and walked all over ...then instead of drinking wine (which I would have done as soon as I got home from work cuz work sucks) I had some dinner and then hit the Treadmill! I then rewarded my self with a glass of wine but just one!0 -

I get up before 5.00 a.m. to take my German Shepherd for a walk each morning (its a bit more difficult taking him for a walk in the evenings, as he doesn't like most other dogs - which can make the walk interesting!).
I appreciated your comment about wantng your sleep. I am of the opinion that my blood-sugar levels are higher when I don't get enough sleep (preferably 7 hours). And I suspect that being tired may impact my weight loss as well (although I don't know why this would be the case)..0 -
Being tired makes me want to eat. I don't know why. The Halloween candy is gone now - I froze the chocolates for baking and the junk is tossed. I did have some today before it got tossed, but I still managed to stay under calories. I think fitting in a work out each day is going to be the hardest part of this challenge. I seem to need more hours in the day. I walked to and from work and to and from the bank today which was a total of 15 minutes so I made myself jump onto the excersize bike for 20 minutes. Now to get some homework done and go to bed.0

Hi there sometimes its hard to stay on track on weekends. I don't know what comes over me but when the weekend comes I usually fall off the wagon. I do really good during the week. So I guess I just need to stay motivated. I exercise on Saturday but I take sundays off.
I have been pretty good about saying on my meal plan but as soon as Halloween came I went crazy with the candy! Now I just have to keep exercising and eating well. My goal is 20 lbs.0 -
the fall/winter season seems to have alot of people backtracking including me im in. im going to aim for the 8 glasses of water a day and also 30 mins of working out everyday im not too worried about the weight for now just getting back on track0
