Well, I gained 2.5 lbs, but I know why and that is what matters, right? Anywho, I am back on track already. I have exercised and had yogurt w/strawberries. I have a really busy day today. We had a 4 day weekend, so I have 2 days worth of work to do, plus today's. Plus they are planning on moving our office, so busy, busy, busy.

Man!!! I came into work and it is worse than I thought. Not only do I have all my stuff to get done, but I had to do something else, Hell!!! It's a mess. And on top of that there are rumors of more lay offs coming and they are targeting my department. Hopefully it stays a rumor, but we are hurting for money, so we'll see. I'm tired of it all right now. I'm ready to just get out of here right now.

hang tight shanell....sit w/donny and go over the package (if offered again) and see if you could do it. you wouldn't have daycare. maybe work part time. talk to mark. but, just make sure your finances are in order before you take the package.

Nellie, keep working out. Exercising is the ONLY thing keeping me the slightest bit SANE!! Helps for venting frustration and anger, as well as warding off depression. (I dunno about you, but I'm prone to depression myself.)

Up +1.6... but it is most likely water weight (TOM) and I usually see a 3-5 lb gain so less than 2 means that I probably lost "real weight" so next tuesday should be exciting!!!!! :drinker: I will catch up with you girls later... :flowerforyou: em0 -

huh....so lost 0.2 this week, and I'll take it!!!! It's a loss. funny how i've been gaining for weeks and now, over a holiday, i lose? even 0.2 surprises me!
my one class today was cancelled so i'm spending the day in my sweats writing papers. the next few weeks are going to be SUPER stressful which i know that means i need to stay on top of my workouts. i was reading in Jillian Michaels e newsletter today about how stress messes with your hormones, namely cortisol which results in belly fat.....that explains A LOT!!! :blushing:
sad to say but i am getting Mexican food for lunch today with a friend but will try to be good the rest of the day. had yummy whole wheat toast and natural PB for breakfast with massive amounts of coffee with Truvia. need to remember to stick a couple truvia packets in my purse for my ice tea at lunch so i can have "good" sweet tea.

Sorry I haven't been around, personal stuff... Can tell by the gain that I've been self medicating with food again.. I did make it to the gym today, for the first time in two or three weeks, so hopefully I can get back on track. DH received an email from Disney about a cruise special, with two paid adults, up to 3 kids under 17 (I think) can go free. We have to call and see what we can wrangle, since we have 4 kids, maybe one adult and two kids per room, or something.... It'll be more expensive, but still cheaper than if we had to pay for each of the kids! I need to be cruise ready by summer... AAAAACK!0 -
amylou. i have to say i second that.... i am going to say that my 'belly fat" is a result of school stress :laugh: (possibly the big macs too....) :laugh: but we are working on it!!! congrats on the loss. a loss is a loss!!! :bigsmile:0

:sad: I feel like I'm going to cry! I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I'm staying within my cals with good foods, I'm working out... I'm hovering at 10lbs over what I was just before Christmas and I can't seem to move it! I've tried MORE calories, I've tried FEWER calories... honestly. I'm just feeling so defeated. I've taken 100 cals off my daily to go down to 1500 so we'll see what happens there and I know that one sure way of NOT losing any more weight and even adding to it is to slump down and quit, but I'm just not willing to do that. I have said it a few times but today I think I'm actually going to go get my thyroid checked. I don't think that's the culprit, but if it's not at least it will get me into my Dr's office to get the results and I can ask her if something else might be up.

I've taken 100 cals off my daily to go down to 1500 so we'll see what happens there and I know that one sure way of NOT losing any more weight and even adding to it is to slump down and quit, but I'm just not willing to do that. I have said it a few times but today I think I'm actually going to go get my thyroid checked. I don't think that's the culprit, but if it's not at least it will get me into my Dr's office to get the results and I can ask her if something else might be up.

One of the coolest things... When I went to the doctor, I printed off two weeks worth of my food diary. It was nice, because he could look and see what was average, and told me I was doing good. (And I was, at the time, lol). It has a lot of info, and it showed him my average sodium intake, fiber, fat, etc. It was probably the most comprehensive thing I could have done. I also hand wrote in my exercise type and calories burned, and how much water I was drinking. (That was when I went for the thirst issue). It gives a good overall look.0 -

Rhiannon, just remember that even if you aren't losing weight, you are doing WONDERS for your heart and body overall, improving your health and keeping your body ready for a long life to see your babies' babies' babies. :flowerforyou: I have to keep that perspective when I feel ready to give up. This is for my HEALTH even if I don't see the weight loss.0

You know I was thinking about all of the other diets out there. So many diets tell what you can or cannot eat or drink. I thought about it, and realized that I like this site better, because it does teach you how to stay where you need to to lose, without deprevation. I love Myfitnesspal and I love ya'll. I'm going to do this and feel healthy and wonderful. I am so in the spirit right now.

Hmm... it's still TOM for me.. but I think I weight 153 this week. :-/ I work I work I work, and I don't lose anything. BUT like the rest of you, I won't give up. Eventually the weight will budge and I will reach my goal! :laugh: So until then I will try to stick to my calories and keep working out... and at the very least, maybe I can lose some inches... WHY CANT I GET AWAY FROM THE 150's!!! SHEESH! I will be in the 140's by the end of this challenge Mark my words! lol... and if not, un-mark my words! LOL :noway: Oh I did Turbo Jam at 3 am today!! And yes I think Cortisol IS adding to my belly faT! lol!

I saw the doc today. Was given the ok to return to normal life and activity! Said to beware of the changes in my digestive system. Right now I am ok but it could change. Gave some more blood. He thought I looked super pale still. Wanted to check my blood count. Yikes. He also scared me. Said if we cant figure out this anemia thing then the next step is a bone marrow biopsy. Nothing good can come of that. I hope my GYN has an answer for me. I really dont want to travel down the other road!

Hi Sixers.
I gained back 2.5 of the 3lbs I lost last week. :laugh: Oh well!
Things have been going downhill, on and off, for about the past 7 years of my marriage (8 years married this June, 11.5 years together), and everything has finally come to a head. I am moving out tomorrow. Told the husband I was going to stay with my mom, just neglected to mention I never intend to return and I'm taking (much less than) half the furniture with me. Really, I'm only taking a couple small items and he can keep the rest. I just want out. I'm sick of the years of emotional neglect and torturous unhappiness that has invaded my soul. I'm ready to be happy... and for me that means I have to move out. I am ready to live life to the fullest.
Also means I'm eating my fears. Change is scary. All change, good or bad. Ugh... trying to control this eating. Doing okay today... 55 cals still available and I intend not to eat a single one.
I was going to do personals but I can't focus. I'm very self centered right now; I'm sorry. :frown: Maybe another day I can focus better on others. Today isn't my day. I'm too nervous.
