PS- Will someone for the love of dog, please give me body fat and weight before and after numbers. I will very easy so immediate affects to metabolism very easily.
I started at 36.8% (according to Dr. with the fat pinchers, my omrom thingie said 39%) I'm at 26-28% depending on device/calibers/fat tester thing. It's been 91 days. I didn't use HCG though.0 -
I thought this was supposed to be a place you can go to find support and alk to people who like yourself want to lose weight, not to bash someones way of doing so. I have had nothing but support from people on MFP, it is discouraging to see people being so negative towards someone. Are we trying to push her away from asking for any kind of support?
Because it is NOT healthy. Would you support someone on here who said, "I want to have an eating disorder"? Because that is what eating 500 calories a day is! MFP does not support unhealthy dieting habits.0 -
I wanted to make sure to post some of my pics up here, since HCG has been such a success for me;

I am happy to help,
I started out with a fat % of 43% my weight was 283, now my fat % is 24% and I weigh 172 and keep in mind I have a very large frame. Does that help?0 -
So, you starved yourself down to the weight you are now by eating only 500 calories a day for X number of weeks
You must have a good constitution to be able to tolerate that level of starvation for such long periods of time and not pass out. That is ALL you proved by posting those photos
It proved nothing about the Simeons HCG protocol, which all reliable scientific studies have proven to have no value whatsoever.,
If anyone has not seen them yet, here's a few links with the info about the scientific studies that say HCG is worthless as a weight loss aid

So you gorge and then you starve? Sounds like an eating disorder not a healthy diet. JMO though
again with the negativity... wow you really have nothing nothing nice to say. I feel sorry for you. you go ahead and do what you think is best. But I have BEEN THERE DONE that and to be quite honest this diet works and it beats bariatric surgery. talk to me in 6 months when I am at my weight loss goal.
You obviously haven't been there and done that if you think this diet is best.
There is no diet or quick fix.. hard work and dedication is what takes off and keeps the weight off.
I'd love to see what you look like in 6 months.. cause I bet it's not going to be anything like you think.
funny how i started in april and an down 78 lbs .... past your 6 months. also i have numerous friends who have completed the diet and have maintained well beyond 6 months.0 -
wow! You dont want people to be negative but then go and say your diet is better than bariatric surgery. Sounds like you are using more marketing terminology. That was absolutely uncalled for. i had gastric bypass surgery 5 years ago and praise it too, but i didnt knock your diet.So you gorge and then you starve? Sounds like an eating disorder not a healthy diet. JMO though

I was not bashing bariatric surgery at all the truth is that the risk of bariatric surgery is way worse than the risk of the HCG diet. Worse case with HCG you gain the weigh back... risk of bariatric surgery can be death.0 -
I'm not here to attack or say anything bad, but I've done research in the past on studies that looked at HCG. NONE of them found the hormone effective for weight loss...it was the 500 calories per day that made people lose weight.
Save your money...and just do the diet part and not the drops or injections0 -
Actually, people can develop long term health problems from doing the HCG diet, so there is a risk for more than gaining the weight back.
Any starvation diet can put your health at risk.

Comprehensive evidence about how HCG and VLCD are dangerous, and only prescribed for the morbidly obese.

I started out with a fat % of 43% my weight was 283, now my fat % is 24% and I weigh 172 and keep in mind I have a very large frame. Does that help?
Thank you very much..
LBM = Weight - (weight x body fat)
Starting = 283 - (283 * .43) = 161
Current = 172 - (172 *.24) = 131
BMR = 370+(9.79759519*LBM)
Starting BMR = 370+(9.79759519*161) = 1950
Ending BMR = 370+(9.79759519*131) = 1650
You lost 30 lbs of muscle during your journey. There is zero disputing that. That is a 20% loss of muscle in your journey so far and a 16% reduction in your metabolism. My question is, don't you see that as a problem? I understand maintaining musle mass is difficult when you have a lot to lose and overall, at some point you might lose some but 20% and on top of that, a 16% reduction in metabolism? Something to think about.
Now here is my story, I eat 2600 calories (actually 2800-3000 now) I started at 18% body fat @ 210 lbs, I am at 11% body fat now @ 195.
Starting = 210 - (210 * .18) = 172
Current = 195 - (195 * .11) = 173
BMR = 370+(9.79759519*LBM)
I have lost several inches around my body, I have lost weight but still maintain muscle mass. That is why huge deficits dont' work. That is why HCG is not great for you. Muscle mass is linked to so many items like metabolism, insulin control, organ function, etc...
If this stuff isn't a concern to you, I am amazed, but there is a reason for my madness. Please let the discussion continue.0 -

EXCELLENT POINT. I did read that you lose TONS of muscle doing this diet. When the weight comes back, it's all fat!0 -
Well I tried this and it did work. I could not complete it due to 500 calories my sugar bottom out I thought I would end up in the hospital. I was never hungry. To be honest I do plan on trying Dr. Lipmans hcg drops his recommendation is 800 calories. Good luck to you.0

A little research I recently did.0 -
I really hope that you all are not wanting me or anyone else whom has had great results on this diet to gain anything back. It sure does sound that way...
I can understand your skepticism, especially since I was exactly where you all were (to the skeptics), I called each company till I got someone who would answer my questions then called them for a bout a month talking to each rep to see if anything is going to change, and it didn't. These people were always so nice, professional and never tried to push me to buy anything. I hope that is not what you think I am trying to do here too. It was because of their help and my doctor I am here today.
I did read the post about muscle loss, and I don't mind that at all because I weigh so much as a size 8 US jean for some one at my height.
Anyway I wish you all well and I hope you do the same for me even though I have had success on HCG.

The thing is, I don't have skepticism. I have proof that this diet adversely affects your health as shown by the numbers. And in all honesty, I don't really care is people do this diet because it's their choice. I just like them to understand that you screw up your metabolism and kills muscle. Two things I know I don't want to part with. Because at the end of the day, weight doesn't make you look good in a bathing suit, muscle does. Musle gives you abs and definition and a smaller waist line.
I am glad you swear by this program, but in the end there are many other ways to produce the same result without the 500 calorie restrictive diet.
ps- thanks for giving me those numbers. I appreciate this good debate.0 -
Obesity is dangerous. Obesity related diseases kill people everyday. Losing weight is a struggle for many people. I am not sure why these people are on here with their comments. I believe most people on HCG has seen the research but we have also seen people we know and love have great success. Every surgery that people have has risks, but if you have a choice of extended your time here on earth, I would take it with risks that are minimal and so would millions of people everyday.
I am not going to argue for HCG although, the skeptics have not giving me a reason to stop the diet. But I will say, thank you for your opinion. We have heard you, please enjoy your life.
Thanks0 -
@ psulemon;
I have a question for you, If I hadn't lost any muscle how much should I weigh now as a size 8. I know that muscle weighs more than fat and as my frame is very large to begin with I don't think that outcome would have been what I were looking for.
So please do the calculations for me, I am 5'4 with a very large frame, and I used to weigh 283 with body fat % of 43%.
Thank you, do you mind if I friend you, I think you would be a good resource.0 -
I'm totally blown away that people buy into the easy fix mentality. It's 2011 and people are still just as naieve as they were 50 years ago even though we have much more knowledge and information to base our decisions on....sad really.0
-
Taking hormones can be dangerous. I hope you are under medical supervision on this diet. Any diet under 1200 is really too low. I am not trying to talk anyone out of any choice they are making. I can just see the lawyers commercials in the future: "if you took HCG diet and have (fill in any sort of medical problem), call 555-5555 right now! You may have a law suit!!!!"0
-
wow I am surprised that you guy are so unfriendly. It is unfortunate! and I am not talking about being friendly towards the diet, just having common courtesy towards us as people.0

We are supposed to wish the best for each other I know that is why I am here. I will pray for all of you on here whom have decided to hope that all the hard work I have put in to loosing 112 lbs and maintaining an 110 lbs loss is wasted, and that I gain it back.
I mean did not see my results, I am not talking about supporting the diet by all means, but I am talking about supporting me and wishing the best for me. I worked very hard to get to where I am today.
I still wish the best to all of you and I am very saddened by the out come of this post.0 -
Breakfast:
Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin or Stevia may be used.
Lunch:
1. 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. The chicken breast must be removed from the bird.
2. One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.
3. One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast.
4. An apple, orange, or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.
Dinner :
The same four choices as lunch (above.)
This is the diet i looked up for this, and it really looks silly. like you can have one vegetable, spinch has almost no calories so do most of the other vegetables so you should be allowed more then just one.
and no breakfast isnt good, everyone knows that.
you can lose weight in a much healthier weight, there is no need to rush. if you are strict and are able to stick to this diet im sure you can stick to a diet say around 1200 calories which may take a little longer0
