had blood work done today that was due in August. blood lipids and liver function. went to a different place for a haircut. took 2 pics with me and the gal did pretty good. all that was really needed was for my layers to be shortened up a bit and then all over thinned. she used the razor and that makes a big difference as well. feel better. less hair.

we had an early out today. rain started before I got back home from blood work\ haircut.

did lots of house work all after noon. supper was blueberry and choc chip muffins and sloppy jo's. I had some of all..which I usually don't. need to get back to my clean eating. need to get back to exercise. my 300 minutes this week for exercise....not gonna happen.

    have a nice evening ladies.

took Miss Lily to the vet today for her annual boosters and Rabies. Stopped real quick for a few groceries. Trunk smelled just awful (poopy) when I opened it. Noticed windows in car all steamy. Open car door and dog poo smell is thick. notice dog poo on floor....and dog hiding in back seat. Now, I tried to get her to go before the vet and after the vet. Guess she just wanted to go in the car. :grumble: so, picked it up and put in trunk, double wrapped. the drive home was a bit chilly...with the windows all the way down.

took a truckload of leaves and yard waste to city lagoon. Tanner and I cleaned up our porch a little. think my neighbor lady was taken to the hospital in ambulance. she is in her 90's, still drives and still does yard work. have known her 21+ yrs. tough ol' bird. bless her.

another bad day eating...candy, cookies, etc.:frown:

Dave was arrested by the FBI last week for federal charges of child pornography.

Needless to say, it's good news yet ... still doesn't change my situation with custody/visitation.
Thus, I'm in a state of funk especially as the holidays approach. I typically got depressed during the holiday season to begin with now not being able to see or talk to the kids is making it more difficult.

Learned of the arrest from the prosecutor's office on a day I was using sick leave. By mid afternoon I had people from my office text me they learned from another office in the building. Now, I have great shame coming into the building. Feel all eyes upon me - the woman who was in a relationship w/this man. Being at work is very difficult for me.

Weight is up to 179. I have to redo my failed fitness test next week and I don't think I lost the 1/2 inch from my waist.

Trying my best to be quiet, deflect attention from myself and focus on work.
  • HI ladies! Ody is starting to go back to school. Today was his first day back. For the next week, he will go 1/2 days in the afternoons as I transition him back into a morning routine and change the schedule of his breathing treatments. He is doing well. Zan is 18 months today. I can't believe it. Time flies. I have not been sleeping all that well for some reason and have been crabby with Zan. Poor child. I bet he wishes that mommy would stop yelling at him for everything. He is a stinker. Always getting into things he shouldn't be in which is so very normal for his age. I need to relax and not sweat the little things. I have been struggling to get back into the habit of going to the gym again. I need to stop eating candy and start working on eating healthy.

Barb- Congratulations on taking your maiden name back! Hope things go well with your fitness test. It sounds like you had an awesome birthday.

Jacque- Good luck with your 2nd interview. We are staying home this Christmas so I think we will only have a little Christmas shopping to do this year. We usually don't have a big list anyway but we will be home alone anyway and money will be tight the list will be shorter.

Kelly- I can't even imagine how bad the car smelled from poop. I need to get a haircut too.

I need to get to bed. I have a early doctor appointment tomorrow for a yearly check up. Talk to you later. Have a great night. :)

    happy hump day evening.

couple days of yardwork. got all the leaves picked up. mowed for the last time this year. had rain, wind, cold temps, 2 last trees almost bare...c'mon! 99% of them fell in neighbors yard...

think our kitchen and dining room floor is going to be done Friday..I've been getting things ready. tomorrow I will take out all the furniture...then do a final scrub since they are putting it down on top of our linoleum.

we had some snow this am.. very wet and mostly flurries. slushy on our deck, stuck to the grass for a few hours. not sure I'm ready for this....and I LIKE snow!

last few days have been better eating and I have been doing either a 30 minute or 45 minute walk just before supper.

my lab work all came back normal. I was surprised since I have not been eating good...since spring.

trying to get into this new time change...ugh.

hard to think Thanksgiving is in 2 weeks, then Christmas a month later.

thinking of you friends. love to all

    Hi all...
My weight all this week has been 179
I have been walking or kickboxing since Monday.

I caught a headline how Mariah Carey is a weight loss spokesperson. I will admit I didn't read the article.
Sure, she had twins -- but the girl was skinny before pregnancy. So I can't relate how a skinny girl - then pregnant girl - now skinny again can be a weight loss spokesperson. I am only estimating she has a trainer, cook/nutritionist, and child care staff available to her.

I need a weight loss spokesperson who -- works fulltime, cares for house, cares for family and is basically your average woman.

    Take care.

really bummed....our floor did not get done Friday. He called around 9am and said he was in a very, very long line with a semi load of corn?? He was 25 miles away. Plus his son called him and his truck broke down. So after getting the corn unloaded he was going to have to go home and get another vehicle and take that to his son. He would call me when he was on his way back. Have not heard anything since. This guy is from the area, went to the same school I did. He and his father used to do hard wood flooring together for over 15 years, and they were one of the best in the area and well known. They had a falling out about a year ago. This guy also works for his FIL on his farm. I just get the feeling he does not want to do our floors. We moved our frig and stove from the living room back to the dining room, but nothing is plugged in and the dining room is empty otherwise.

I did have a loss this week. We ordered broasted chicken for supper last nite. I have not had it for a couple months, so it was kinda like a treat. I'm trying not to let this floor issue bring me down and go into a binge. I have been in the basement going thru things today, pitching and for good will.

It is kinda nice out and I might do leaves.

Not only that but she has CLEARLY has had plastic surgery. I saw this magazine today at the store. Look at her belly button. It has that odd thing going on that only happens after a tummy tuck. When they cut off excess skin most of the time the old belly button goes too, and then the doctors have to re-create it. the new belly button is always flat and sort of funny looking, like it's drawn on or something. Also, inside the mag is an old picture of her, where her mid drift is exposed, and her 'old' belly button looks nothing like the new one.
I don't deny that she works out, but like you said, she probably has a full time staff to help her.
  • Life is busy right now. Trying to break Zan from his nuk so not getting enough sleep and he is extremely crabby. My monkey is pulls out the kitchen chairs to climb on the table now. :grumble: I know he is a boy and loves to climb but why is it always to get into things. I can't keep anything on the table anymore. I love my 18 month old monkey. I have got out a bunch of new toys for him to play with and all he wants is my phone, my computer, and my papers. Do you think he loves me? Enough complaining. I hoe you all are doing well.

Kelly- sorry your floor didn't get done. :frown: It is disappointing. Hopefully he will come tomorrow to put the floor in.

    Have a great night!

angie..yes your little monkey loves you  he's just testing you and his independence...it's normal!!

    have a good one all.

hi. not feeling well.... and weight hasn't changed in few weeks ... 179. Did read an internet article how my one medication is a weight gainer. Learned I have sleep apena. My gyn commented on the size of my neck & suggested I tell my primary. Primary ordered a home sleep study --- I was surprised to learn I have sleep apena. Me..... now Mike says I have a quiet low volume snore ... but per him I don't snore often.... so when the sleep study revealed I have moderate to severe sleep apena..... surprised I was.

Lost most of my voice w/this bummer crappy feeling. When I do speak it's a whisper. Mostly handwritten notes to Mike or pointing to things I want. As much as he's at my house, he didn't know where my heating pad was.

    Talk to all soon.

hello all. well, our floors are DONE! he came Tuesday, worked about 5 hours and had the floor completed. was here yesterday to finish up some trim. I do really like it. It really warmed both rooms up, which is what I was going for. We have had white floors forever, and I was always happy with them. My kitchen/dining rooms have usually been blue. I am going with reds and browns now. So far I have been able to get affordable curtains and a couple rugs at Walmart. Just finished cleaning and putting all my china back in my hutch. took me all a.m. the room is almost done, yay!

Dogs are shedding....soon they will brushed, vacuumed & bathed. hair hair everywhere!

Barb ~ hope you're feeling better. I think your neck is fine. So are you using the c-pap machine? my mom uses one and so does Scott's uncle. Both are much happier now.

Me ~ trying to eat better, but the weight isn't really changing.

Learned I have a stomach virus, an ear infection, and going through menopause. The third item was after the primary doctor ruled out pregnancy. (I am nauseous, very sore/tender breasts, headaches).
Per my Mom my Grandmother started at 39, my Mom in her early 40s. Remember I am "forever forty" (plus 2).
The doctor did give me an out of work note covering Monday afternoon, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Today, Friday, is the agency's scheduled day off.

Your new flooring sounds great Kelly. Envious...new flooring in the carpeted rooms is on my wish list.

    weight is 180.2 Sigh....

Been going through my recipes and recipe books. So been baking and cooking. Realized by doing this means I am back to enjoying cooking and baking. Means the depression (also a PMS sympton) must be lifting. Or the love of a good man who is enjoying my meals/desserts encourages me to return to land of measuring spoons and mixing bowls.

Have a good weekend. Got a great pumpkin cake recipe. One box of chocolate cake mix, one can (15 oz) of pumpkin. Mix together. Pour into 9 inch square pan coated with nonstick spray. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 min. Tastes great - more chocolate flavor than pumpkin. Very moist. I am serious ladies -- just cake mix and pumpkin. That's it. Try it. Unless you say it's made w/pumpkin no one will believe you.
  • HI ladies! Zan has started his terrible 2's & 3's. Almost any time he doesn't get his way he has a major meltdown. UGH!! He has some serious climbing issues. Just to get into things, he moves anything so he can climb up and reach things. He climbs up on the back of the glider rocker if it is close to anything so he can get computer, TV remote, phones, or my papers that I have sitting by my computer. If there is a will (which he has in spades) there is a way. Ody is going better. He started back at school full time on Wednesday. He loves going to school. One of his teacher used her phone to record video of Ody when he entered school on Wednesday. He was smiling & laughing as he was greeted by everyone. He did sure miss school.
I have gained back 10 pounds since Ody came home from the hospital. I really need to work on eating better and getting back into a routine of exercising again. I was hoping to lose 25 by Christmas so I would be at 200 pounds for Christmas. I don't think that will happen.

Barb, that pumpkin recipe sounds great I am going to try it. Sounds like things are working out good with your new man. I hope you feel better soon. It stinks being sick.

Kelly, I am glad your floors are done. Did you take before and after pictures? I think it would be cool to see.

Zan is done with breakfast. Now it is time for shower and to get dress for the birthday party that Zan has been invited to. I still have to wrap the presents and find where I am going. Have a GREAT day ladies!

This morning I am at 180 point something. URGHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Part of me says don't stress - you didn't go to kickboxing this week, you haven't pigged out (at times not even touched) the junk food Mike has here. You not eating the homemade baked goods frequently. Be kind. The other part says you're supposed to retest for your fitness test this month. In May you were a 1/2 inch over in the maximum waist measurement -- that is the failure. Now 10+ lbs more, I know my waist didn't get smaller. Having two consecutive failures isn't going to be good.

This week Mike and I were having a food/weight discussion. We share the same likes on food and have the same tendencies to pig out. He's lost week since been w/me. Why, he not tempted to eat as much junk food. I have gained weight with me. And my eating habits or workouts hasn't undergone a major change. He gets on my scale and gets happy. I get on my scale and growl at it. When he said his weight I realized he's very close to my weight.

All I can say is there's choices -- mope over this or move on this. I plan to move... Since I've been cooking at home, I have been eating healthier meals & leftovers for lunches. Doing more workout (or actually committing to more) is needed. Of course, this week would not have been good -- trying to do kickboxcing with a stomach virus would have been too much.

Wishing you all a good weekend.

    hi ladies :flowerforyou:

been doing laundry..helped Scott with the 2 doors that are in the kitchen/dining room. had to saw a door shorter and then one we replaced the knob and had to plane some areas that were rubbing on the door frame. now both doors shut quietly and the right way!

yesterday I bathed the dogs and found a flea on Rosie  suppose I got eggs all over my house now:grumble: she's never had them, but she started itching and I just was hoping (in denial) that she didn't have any.

Barb ~ we've had all kinds of sickness here. kids on the bus have had strep. I already feel like my immune system is down just b/c of 2 surgeries this year. I need to get a flu shot too. One of my biggest fears is menopause. I'm obese now...what's gonna happen when the ol hormones get fierce? I've been wanting to bake and cook too. and like you, my depression has lifted some, so the desire to be Betty Crocker has returned. I want one of those cook books that you put your own/favorite recipes in for xmas. I fried shrimp and scallops last nite and was really pleased with the results. It was from a Food Network magazine. I've kinda been on a pumpkin kick.... been adding it to my oatmeal and yogurt. I sense a happy heart in your recent posts...due to the new man in your life. I like this....A LOT!

Angie ~ so good to hear from you and good to know things are getting back to normal for you and Ody. I bet he did miss school. I am so glad he is feeling better and hope he stays healthy! I remember when the boys were smaller and cleaning the house and having it all picked up...only minutes later to turn around and have a mess! After a while, we got tired of it, so we removed a lot of things that we didn't need or use. Just the basics! Have fun at your bday party!

I am right there with both of ya on the weight gain. 12.31.10 I was 191.8. for both surgeries I was near 186-187. My lowest this year was 182, in July/Aug. My highest, 197 was a few weeks ago. double UGH:frown: I have started to walk again, and realize each time I start, how much I miss it. So, why do I always stop? Trying to eat better. And, clothes are tighter. I know resistance will help with that. You know what that means....sighhhhhhh

    Jacque, Vita & Cindy....MISSING YOU:cry:

    take care gang!

    Happy Sunday morning alll

This mornings breakfast, 1 frozen waffle, 1 bananna and nutella spread on the waffle. When I started to spread the nutella on my waffle, Mike asked "what is that?" Silly me offered him a taste....guess now I need to "hide" the nutella from him now.

Today, we'e heading to church. Afterwards we'll replace 2 outdoor light fixtures and thinking a firepit fire late afternoon. (Before it gets really chilly at night).

    Have a good day.

    stop.eating.bacon.

    jk.

I'm gettin fat n sassy here.....frumpy, bumpy, lumpy. you name it...IT'S on me. I made some peanut butter cookies last Friday. guess what, they taste pretty good. :ohwell:

did they do any blood work to check the levels of your hormones...to see where you are at menopause-wise? you pretty much the same with eating and activity? steadily gained or more here lately? I dunno. I feel your frustration and WTHness. total bummer. blame the new dude. Sangria keeping your glass full? :drinker:

my weekend was pretty good calorie wise and I did get a 30 min walk in, but the monthly visitor is giving me urges, temptations...weaknesses.

only 2 days of school this week. I'm ready. bring on the turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, pumpkin pie. This is sad, I am already thinking about it and it is 3 days away. Who thinks of their food...3 days AWAY?:frown:

    weight today 182.

And I MUST do my fitness test the first Saturday of December. Ugh....

I will be at my primary & gyn on 12/1 and the topics I want to discuss is what type of sleep apena I have and hormonal test.

Yes, Kelly, I will think of food days in advance of the event. For Thanksgiving I have more interest in attending the church's pancake breakfast than Thanksgiving dinner at my sisters.

I am so tired...not getting enough sleep and feeling some anxiety which is normal for me this time of year.

bus inspection in a little bit. then Tanner & I might go shopping. he wants something new for his deer stand. I have some returns to make and a drop off at Goodwill.

yesterday was better...until bedtime. peanut butter cookies, tortilla chips, and chocolate. sweet, salty, sweet. :ohwell:

hoping my oldest boy gets home today...it's gonna be a big, long hug. :smooched:

    take care all:heart:

the only sticks I like are the ones that start fires.

boys went shopping with me today. Tyler always wants to eat out. I suggested BWW's. He works at the one in his college town, and I have never eaten at one, nor Tanner Eh, it was ok. I had the mild sauce and I did NOT like it. I'm not a spicy kinda girl. Give me BBQ, honey, terriyaki and I'm good. so ate 1/2 and most of my fries and the carrots and sauce. per info on internet I had 1000+ mg of sodium. NOT GOOD. I will be bloated even before I have my turkey feast.

I had a great surprise at the church's Thanksgiving breakfast. When Mike and I got there, I did see one of the younger Girl Scouts serving food. Then I saw some of the Girl Scouts in my daughter's troop -- then I saw my daughter. I went to her and said her name, she turned around and said "Mom?" Then we hugged, cried, and it was great to be able to tell her I love her & miss her. Mike was watching us with tears in his eyes -- told me once he saw me walk away from him - looked and saw my daughter (he recognized her from her school picture).

She looked good, happy to see me. I had no idea her Girl Scout troop was serving breakfast there this year. So, it was a great blessing to see her.

Later in the day, I went to my sisters. Mike got along well with her family.

DYFS is giving me supervised visits, 2x month, 1 hour each beginning Tuesday. So to get a few minutes with my daughter on Thanksgiving was very special to me.

    hey ladies...

Thanksgiving was ok. we went to my aunt's house. like always, ate too much. the foods just didn't seem as yummy this year. the 'who brings what' was different this time. guess we should all go back to the regulars?

    I.am.so.out.of.shape.

My joints ache. I am stiff. Not sleeping well. Not eating well. Having a lot of headaches. Clothes are all tight. Looks like I need to change something.

    Have a good one.

My ex husband canceled the visitation appointment w/no reason given. So I didn't see my children yesterday. Unfortunately, he didn't have to tell DFYS why he canceled. He gave me the impression DFYS canceled based on his text/email. The case worker told me it was him who canceled.

Recourse -- none. Except contact my attorney (which I did) and take it from there. Sigh, I am very depressed.
