Hello!
I did the 5-mile Leslie DVD again today. It's my version of the "last chance" workout. I'm really hoping to show a loss tomorrow when I weigh. We went to the show last night and I had some popcorn and 2 pieces of flatbread pizza with a berry cup for dessert. I know that wasn't the absolute best choice, but I counted the calories...as close as I could get. I don't think one slip should could cost me a whole week. Weight loss is such a tough job. Keep your fingers crossed for me please. A loss would be a big boost for morale! LOL Thanks everyone!
Have a great week!!!0 -
Just adding my miles for yesterday--Oh, how I wish I had my tracker!
Goal is 60 miles, have 50 so far.0 -
The month is almost over and I’ve been MIA. It’s been hectic and crazy and the holidays aren’t even here yet. I had back-to-back conferences at two different resorts. Although the meetings were good, the decadent meals didn’t do me any good. I tried to eat healthy at the meals, and was pretty successful – avoiding salad dressings, dinner rolls, etc., but I gave in to temptation and had the desserts (so sinfully delicious!). Then on Thursday, I was diagnosed with an eye infection, but had an allergic reaction to the eye ointment prescribed, so I spent Friday at the doctor and an eye specialist (new prescription, but two days to get the swelling down). Needless to say, I have not been as dedicated to my walking routine. I still think I can make my goal, but am going to have to use those four and five mile walks to gain ground (and of course eat sensibly this Thursday!).
Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

Waling has been going by the wayside this week. I hope to get some catching up done today and on Friday I can workout more as I will be preparing the house for Christmas decorations--washing windows, putting up lights, moving knick-knacks for Christmas-themed ones, etc. (NO shopping, though. I have never done Black Friday shopping and never will!)
I hope all my US friends have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Didn't walk off the edge of the world, just working long days and spending my spare time off the computer. Worked Fri, Sat, Sun, last week non stop.
Back to walking this week 8 miles so far this week not including the stair reps today.
I hope you all have wonderful, family filled, joyful Thanksgivings!0 -

I am over for this month but only have 11 of my 15 miles for this week. I am going to try to do 4 miles today but there is a lot of pre-decorating cleaning and moving of furniture to do so I don't think I'll get it in. (MAYBE if I decide to go downtown for Small Business Saturday I'll get more done but it is raining and I don't know if I will.)
On a brighter note--my DD got Isaac (my 17 month old grandson) a pair of boots yesterday so we will be able to go for our walks again--AND his feet will stay dry!0 -
Hello, Fellow Walkers.
I must confess that November has not been my strongest month. I have made my goal every month for the past year, but this month has gotten away from me. In addition to the two resort conferences earlier in the month, the past two weeks brought more challenges. First, I had an eye infection and then had an allergic reaction to the medication; missed two days of work and four days of walking. Then this past week I got the flu and/or food poisoning. The scale says I've lost about five pounds, but I don't recommend the method. :blushing: Today was my first day back on solid foods, so I decided I could also do a Sansone tape. I reached for the 5 Mile Advanced, but then thought better of overdoing it after being sick, so did the 3 Mile with hand weights option, a good workout, but my arms do feel sore.
Congrats to all who have made/are on their way to making their November goals. I hope everyone enjoyed a peaceful Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Good morning everyone,
AZChatter...I'm glad you're on the mend. I agree that the 5 mile advanced walk would've been too much for you when you're just recuperating.
December is going to be a challenge with the holiday get togethers and celebrations. We just have to keep each other motivated and on track. We can do this!!!!!
I did the 3 mile Leslie Boot Camp DVD today. That brings my November total to 58 miles. I think that's the most I've ever done in a month. Thanks for the help! Coming to this board helps keep me going.
Have a great week. Keep moving!!

AZ--I'm glad you're better, too!
We also have waterproof pants for the little guy so he'll stay dry no matter what! Of course, it's supposed to be nicer (no rain) this week but the ground is still wet and so is the playground equipment.
We went for an additional walk last night to see who has their Christmas lights up (we don't, yet--working on it!). It was a clear evening and Isaac was FASCINATED by all the lights in the sky--we don't see the stars much here because of all the cloud cover and the fog this time of year!
Two days left in this month--where does the time go? Have a wonderful day, everyone!0 -

Hello, Everyone. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm up to 45 miles, but still won't make it to 60 by tomorrow. On the plus side, I know I've been eating healthier, and being sick over the Thanksgiving weekend meant no overeating/overindulging on leftovers.
December is a new chance and a great way to stay strong through the holidays. I hope everyone will join in to give and receive motivation and support. See you in the new thread...
