Hello south Yorkshire people I'm in Woolley grange Barnsley(just up the hill from darton) been living here just under a year now love it lots of nice countryside to exercise in!
I moved to darton a few months back, but have yet to venture up to wooley grange Are there any nice pushchair accessable walks for dogs do you know? walking george with the baby is pretty much my only chance to get out of the house atm lol so a little change of scenery would be nice

tennis, squash, pool, sauna, steam, classes, gym.... all included in membership... BUT it is expensive indeed... though atm they have an 'offer' if you sign up before 30th november its free til 1st january... then you HAVE to have 2 months before it turns into a rolling contract(so in effect you can do it on the offer and then quit after 3months.... £57.70 for the membership. but its been good so far !!0 -

Don't know if you have found it already but there is a nice park behind post office and a little one behind coop. Path behind post office cuts up side of train station all way up to Woolley grange, there is bridleway through estate which should be good for pushchairs, goes right through to old post office pub at haigh, pub good for kids too! other way goes through woods up to staincross, and loads of walks in Bretton park that's a nice day out.
How old is the baby?
We've been here nearly a year and still don't know many people round here!0 -

I have been logging on MFP for a couple of months. This is my first post in here though as apps don't have this feature so I thought this was a go it alone thing !
56 years old and Living in the UK. Having put on 1.5 stone since sept 2011 since stopping work I decided that I needed to loose a bit of weight and also get of the sofa and be more active.
I tried couch to 5k but found running is so not my thing and I have osteoporosis so the knees complained a lot. I dusted of my old bicycle and now I walk or bike at least 5 days out of 7 it has made a difference. I also joined a Plates class to help with bad posture etc.
Food wise I have cut out the sweets, bread, cakes and biscuits, made portions smaller and eat more fruit. 9 weeks since starting I have lost 8lbs and my shape is changing. I also see a difference in attitude since getting out in the fresh air most days. Eating healthier is also a must as I have high cholesterol which even my medication is struggling to keep the numbers down so doctor has upped my prescription.
Any ladies of a similar age especially those who have the dreaded post hysterectomy flab please add me ;-)0 -

I'm from Leeds originally, now living in Glasgow. I've only been seriously here for about five weeks, but it works. Feel free to add me anyone who wants to (apologies, this sentence is badly grammarised).
