Need easy protein ideas!!!

I need more ideas for protein, I know I am NOT getting enough!
and BTW I am NOT a cook...one of the only things I can do is cook some chicken on the stove but I wanted more ideas than just chicken.
and I also have a very busy lifestyle working 60+ hours a week so even if I could cook not like I have enough time or when I do have time I would rather be relaxing...(or squeezing in a work out)!

Oh that hated word Tofu, I get the high protein at Trader Joes and dice it small add it to my egg beater with a bunch of veggies, takes like 15 minutes and you have a healthy breakfast. Add some spices of your choice, you won't even notice the tofu, texture is similar to scrambled eggs.0

Any kind of meat is okay, doesn't have to be just chicken!

eggs/egg whites

Nuts, nut butters, eggs, yogurt, cheese, hummus, beans, fish0

Don't forget nuts and the protein shakes are great ideas as well (or bars). Cheese/yogurt/peanut butter... you can do this!!!0

Dont know if you like game meat but venison (deer) is really high0

Not sure if you are into vegetarian options but the product line "lifelight" has many high protein/lower fat veggie protein options. (for example One 'chic' pattie has 17 grams of protein, about .5 grams of fat, and around 110 calories each.)
I microwave one @ night, put it in a ziploc, with a single pack of wholly guacamole, some roasted or sweet red peppers and have it on lunch on an arnold sandwiche thin. It is very filling and yummy.
Chobani greek yogurt is also loaded with protein and since it is thicker than other yogurt, it is also much more filling and stays with you longer.

I don't know if you have this in your area, but at my local grocery store we have a special fat free chocolate milk that has a good source of protein. It also gives me my chocolate fix, without the fat! I think it is called Smart Start made by a company called Hood, but I haven't gotten it in a while.0

Absolutely. Though, there has to be more of a measurable quantity other than "per shot". I think there should be "buckets" and/or "bathtubs" also.0 -
Most fish is high protein and low fat as long as you don't fry it. You can broil tuna or swordfish just like a steak. Most other fish is better baked.
Canned tuna/salmon is easy and cheap. Even with regular mayo its pretty low fat. Sometimes I hard boil eggs and add them to the tuna with a little mayo.
I've recently become a fan of Cole's canned sardines, but they are a little pricey ($4.50)
Ground bison is usually sold 98% fat free (less fat than turkey burgers).0 -
CHICKEN! there is a pre-cooked bag of chicken from tyson that has 6 oz in the bag and if u eat the whole thing its 42 g of protein...pretty sweet!0

I love Luna Protein Bars, almonds (100 calorie packs are great for on the go), Chobani yogurt w/ fresh blueberries/strawberries, egg beaters, protein shakes.0

My list of must-haves:
Eggs
Tuna (canned, chunk light, in water not oil)
Canned chicken
Boneless skinless chicken breast
Ground beef - even 80/20 is good if you rinse it well after browning.
Cottage cheese
Take a look at inexpensive bodybuilding articles, google helps here. They have some good ideas for getting enough protein cheaply, since they're looking at hundreds of grams a day of protein.0 -
The oven broiler pan is your friend. Load it up with marinated (gallon freezer bags are handy) chicken, pork loin chops, round steak cutlets, turkey breast tenderloin, etc. Broil it one weekend afternoon.
You now have convenient protein to eat on during the week.
I usually broil or grill 5 to 8 lbs of meat a weekend. Makes lunch and dinner during a busy week much easier.0 -
I know you said no cooking but this is so easy and yummy. You can make extra for later in the week because it reheats well. I rewrote the recipe from George Stella for my diabetic no cooking friend.
EASY CHEESY CHILI CHICKEN
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons cilantro (I used two cubes of Trader Joes frozen chopped)
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
2 teaspoons salt
1 clove garlic, chopped or out of jar
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
4-5 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 onion, sliced
4 ounces, shredded cheese
Throw the first 8 ingredients into a large zip loc bag. Mush together. Add chicken breasts and rub the seasoning mixture all over the meat until coated evenly. Marinate for a bit while you chop onion and make a salad. Place the chicken on a foil-lined baking sheet. Arrange the onions over the chicken. Bake at 400º for 20 minutes or until the chicken is just done. Do not overcook. Top with the cheese and return to oven until melted, about 5 minutes.0 -

Kashi cereal has a lot of protein for a cereal - up to 9 grams per cup!0

Eggs. I usually put 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites in a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of milk, cook in the microwave a minute, take out and stir in 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Great source of protein. If you're lacto-ovo veg then this won't help. But if you aren't and you need a low cal, decent protein amount, here ya go.0
