Sixers Spring into Summer - week 6

Boy....where is the group going?
i am down .2 from last week. updated my ticker this week to show. i am back as full blast as can get. we have such a great lawyer. he is always happy and smiling. you bring him a problem and he solves it with "life could be worse" solutions. we are feeling so much better. the things we still may lose are just things. DH keeps telling me as long as we have food, water, elec, roof we are doing great. anyway....heading to the gym here in a few and back to finish laundry, do some more packing, now that my 6 months has been turned into ONE. have my meditation time and apply for a job or 2. i decided that everyday i will apply for 1-2 jobs. with just one car it will be interesting.
pdx...at least the gall bladder is gone and so is the pain. you will be in the best health. this happened to me also, seemed like it rained and now it's getting to the end, and all the medical stuff was found and taken care of. good for another 50 years.

As for me, I had a wonderful 4 lb drop!! I was super surprised this weekend. I have been eating within my caloric goals but more Importantly I don't go out for lunch and etc much anymore. I just bring my food from home mostly. I guess that also has to deal with me not knowing many people here too. LOL. Well... everyone have a great day!!!

Morning everyone. sigh so I totally exspected this and was ready for it. I gained back the five pounds I lost this past week and half.. :sad: but I didnt gain over that! AND IM BAAAAACK!
I have finally decided its time to grow up and im going at it like a bull in a rodeo! So here is my plan. (mainly since im broke :sad: ) I am going to eat smaller meals but eat three full meals and try and keep each of the meals around 400 calories. and will allow myself two FRUIT or VERGGIE snacks with no adds like ranch or hummus. twice a day. I will have to live off what i bought last week. so I cant continue the cleanse cuz im out .
As for exorcise. Tonight right after work I am going to kohls to pick up a new pair of work out pants and a work out jacket/shirt because I only have two pairs right now as far as pants.
(I can get the kohls stuff because I have a 75 buck gift card lol)
I did get something productive over the last two weeks though. I solved my relationship problems. Really sorted things out with my parents. I passed all of my classes! ^_^ made my first payment on the scuba trip and I SCRUBBED my living room, dining room, and kitchen. I rearranged my entire living room. Found an enertainment center for 5 bucks at a garage sale and got rid of the hideous desk and put in small black book shelf! ^_^ I am proud of those things. very happy about them!

So, I'm almost back to my starting weight for this challenge... Yippeee! Went to the gym this morning, and realized I had forgotten my HRM... No biggie, I figured. Unpacking my bag, and realized I didn't have my shoes either :sad: . I did wear my heavy cross trainers (I switched those to my everyday knock around shoes) this morning, so I just wore those and went on the arc trainer (kind of a cross between an elliptical and a stair stepper). I did an hour on it and burned 700 calories. I had meant to do the c25k, because I had downloaded the podcasts the other day, but decided to wait until I had my good shoes.
Just got in from a half hour walk around the neighborhood... With DH and the dog. The dog is funny, when we start, she's practically running because she's so excited. Then, about half to 2/3 of the way around the loop, she starts getting tired, so she moves in front of me and slows down. I'll move to the side and she picks up speed a little until she's ahead again, then moves back in front of me again, and slows down. I call her a dumb dog, but I think she's actually pretty darned smart, if not a little sneaky!0 -

well I am at exactly 150.0 lbs... and of course that means I went out and ate ridiculous food today! lol... I had a few wings, fried chicken sandwich etc... either way, I will be back on track tomorrow... Just going through some PMS cravings, exhaustion... :-) Plus I had another TEST today! Went Well though. So I deserve a day to be human! lol!

Today was my first real day with the trainer. It was wonderful. WE did my measurements and he weighed me ..... in the EVENING... OH NO!!! LOL, I'm fine. But, that's a no no in my home. I am extra excited about the days to come. I want to thank you all for helping me stay focused and being supportive. Love ya Sixers!!

had a great day yesterday. i did well. it's always hard getting back into it again after a few days just hanging. going to get some boxes today to get more packing done. i am getting excited. planning placements in my head. just 3 weeks. picking up the truck on the 30th. we will get the keys sometime that weekend.

Hey ladies!! down half a pound today which is okay, especially for finals week!!!! I am done with all papers, tests and classes after next tuesday so I hope to still post a little this week but forgive me if I'm absent!!
Congrats to everyone doing so well!!! (Tamm-4 lbs.!!!!! AWESOME!!) And everyone who is feeling a little down, we're here for you!! I know i've been a little down lately just with everything to do! And I am starting to get a cold i think (typically get one immediately after finals every semester) so that's not helping. But I'm going to continue to make good choices and hope that keeps me on track!

I ended up at home yesterday with my left eye painfully swollen shut due to pollen allergies. I had to take Benadryl which knocked me out. The daycare called at noon to say my child was throwing up and needed to be picked up. (She told her daddy this morning, "I won't throw up today at school..... I won't eat any more stickers." Yes, she ATE a sticker and it made her puke. Sheesh. Two weeks ago he had to pull a sticker out of her nose. Will they just please stop giving her stickers?!?!) On the way to daycare, the Check Engine light came on in my Jeep. Bella Grace refused to sleep last night, and since we share a room at my parent's house, this meant I didn't get to sleep well last night either.
I'm just in no mood, you know? :grumble:
Keeping to myself today at work. Don't want to bite the heads off of any unsuspecting and possibly undeserving coworkers.0 -

Hello ladies... I think my mind is going! My car keys have been MIA since Monday. Well, before that, but Monday was the first time I realized it. I hadn't used them since Friday. Remember the shoes that I forgot to take to the gym yesterday? Well, when I picked them up to put them in my bag this morning, guess what fell out of them! Yup my keys! Whew! I now have all three sets on one ring. Work keys, car keys, and van keys. If I'm going sans purse and don't want the janitor's ring, I can easily pop one set off, but I have to make sure I get it back on when I get home...
Then, I get to the Y today, and am unloading my bag, and realize I lost my earbuds for my zune. I checked at the desk, but they didn't have them. I always unplug them from the zune (it's on an armband), pull them out of my shirt (I don't have the dang cord getting tangled, and it bothers me when it swings), and drop them in my bag. Not in my bag today, so I am guessing that I missed the bag and the got left behind yesterday. Dang it!
Also forgot my suit, so I didn't do water aerobics today.
And, forgot the grocery list and coupons so I didn't go shopping as planned. I'll just go tomorrow after reading at the library.
Sheesh, I'm losing it, really, I am.... lol
But when I got home, I was happy to see that the hair stuff I had just bought and thought I also left at the Y was laying on my bed. I just hadn't remembered to pack it in the first place. Still no earbuds though!
As for names for the next 6 weeks.... No clue.... The No Name Challenge? lol0 -

I am in a GREAT mood for no reason. It's about damn time. Been in a horrible mood for 3 weeks. I needed a random bright spot, even if it's meaningless.
I am headed to the gym shortly. I am hoping to WORK IT and burn 300 cals on the elliptical in 30 min. Think I can do it? I CAN, DAMMIT. :bigsmile:
I think I'm only going to weigh in on Tuesday from now on. Hold myself more accountable for the weekends. If I see a loss on Friday, I tend to really blow it on the weekends. I want to lose weight. I have 20 more pounds to go. I want it gone. I can do this, but not by being wishy washy like I have been. I CAN DO THIS.
And to all my Sixers, I mean this well.... but I am so glad I'm not the only one going through horribly tough times. I am NOT saying I'm happy any of you are in bad situations, but I do feel comforted that I'm not alone. All across the nation(s), there are women out there just like me, in such similiar struggles, in all sorts of different ways and walks of life. I feel comforted having all you guys. :flowerforyou:

Almost at the end of the challenge and I've only lost a total of 1/2 a pound!

I wasn't able to burn 300 calories today. Workout buddy wanted to use the elliptical. I never burn ANY calories on that machine, so I did my final 10 minutes on the treadmill (ran 3 min, then managed to run another 1 min) to boost my cals. Burned 250 cals in 25 min. I am okay with this number. I usually average 10 calories burned per minute. It's a steady number.
Once my job ends (Friday, May 22), I am going to join a local gym at home. $20 a month (but a 2 year contract, which is scary). I can start working out without time restrictions. That will be pleasant. They also have classes (which I need to get back into) and childcare. This will be a good thing.
My job is ending. I will get severence for a couple months, then unemployment if no jobs happen. During that time, I will workout BIG TIME and study for the LSATs and possibly take a class at the local tech school on photography.
LIFE IS GOOD. (Thank you God for answering *someone's* prayer to give me a break in my storm.)

Sixers Slimmer Summer- MY VOTE!
I am seriously considering training for a triathlon! I have done 2 marathons, 3 1/2 marathons, and 2 10ks and many other little races... so the running part doesn't scare me so much. I bike to school and atleast KNOW how to ride a bike so that part doesn't frighten me as much (plus training will help me become more efficient at biking) but the SWIMMING scares me to death! I have taken swimming lessons 3 times and I know how to swim but I have a PHOBIA of being in water where my feet don't touch the ground lol. and I'm 5'1. So I don't know many places I could swim .5-2.4 miles in 5 foot water. The point is that it is very important for me to get over my deep water phobia and I've tried before. The reason I know I can swim is that... lol... if I don't know how deep it is I do fine, It's just that when I feel myself start "floating" more I really really get freaked out and quickly sprint/swim towards the wall! :noway: There will not be a wall in the triathalon! Oh well.. I'll give it some thought and I know that my 3rd year of school will be endless hours in the hospital so I probably will not be able to get it in before 2010 but I think I will start training now. Maybe I can get over my phobia by then.
Hope all is well with you guys! Lauryn you are right... it is good to know that others are going through tough times AND still making it work. Life has hills and valleys. Atleast we know we have a place to go and unload our burdens! Lol... hope you all don't mind when I come stress about school to you all! I have 2 more tests until this year is over. Please keep me in your prayers. Summer is goign to be rough for about 6 weeks. Then I get 3 weeks to relax!0 -

Well .... My dog decided to go #2 in the floor, I guess he is too good for the rain. I just wanted to knock him out. He knows better. Anyway, I made myself do Pilates 55 mins and 40 min of Cardio bursts.

good day....
felloff wagon again yesterday afternoon. so hard to get back into it again. i guess it takes small steps.
i have changed my food plan so maybe it itn't the time to do that. i'll figure something out.
off to do treadmill walk today. lower back so. it started yesterday afternoon. i didn't do anything to hurt it. so wondering if i have a bladder infection. i have never had one before. will look into it. i am also have a foot problem again. not effecting the way i exercise or anything, but, something i need to have looked at.
i am meeting a pampered chef lady tomorrow to see if that is something i can do. i & DH have liked their things. right now it's income. DH said he would do it with me. he cooked in the navy for 20 yrs and when he retired he was in food service for yrs after. he left that field when he disliked working with teens who wanted paychecks, without working for them. maybe this is what we were meant to do. would be great.
off to surf some more internet and than dress and treadmill and do some more packing.

Cathy, I had a rough day yesterday too.
I overate at breakfast and again at lunch. I did alright with dinner, I suppose -- I didn't log it but my mama made a heart healthy meal for my daddy (who is home from the hospital, the heart procedure worked, and he's back at work today!).
After dinner, I started feeling some emotions. Can't even pinpoint them. Opened a box of tasty crackers and began eating. Only when my hand brushed the bottom did I notice I'd eaten 7 of the 8 servings in the box at 150 calories a pop. Yep, 1,050 calories AFTER overeating at all my meals. It was not pretty.
The realization of how many calories I'd eaten made me sick to my stomach. I've felt this before. All I really want to do is throw up at that point, but I refuse to allow myself to do so. I'm afraid I'd fall headfirst into bullemia if I allowed it, even once.
Pretty sure this bout of emotional eating has to do with my 3.5 y/o asking me why we live at my mom's house now, how long we will live there, and how long until we go back home. These questions break my heart. Then my husband gets asked these questions and tells her that we won't be living there forever and it's only temporary. Of course he doesn't indicate where we will go afterwards or in what time frame, but in my opinion, the mind of a 3.5 y/o will make her own assumptions that he means she and I will be moving back into the house, and soon.
This is really, really hard especially since I've always been so independent. My job ends two weeks from tomorrow. A new job looks pretty hard to come by. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? Instead of lamenting it here, I am going to search the job boards right now.
Today will be a good day.
I will take action.
I will have another happy day.

Morning ladies! Well...Sixers Slimmer Summer sounds like a great next challenge! Although for me it will be Sixers Sweaty Summer due to the heater I have attached to my body! Ah well...I'll get through it! Let's just hope it goes by quickly!
