Leeks, shallots, onions, and garlic, and ginger.
Sweet potatoes, and red or yukon gold potatoes.
    Carrots and celery.
Other fresh vegetables-- at least two or three.
At least one kind of fresh fruit.
    Lemons and limes.
    Tofu.
    Eggs.
    Parmesean.
    Plain yogurt.
I always have to have butter on hand for baking, though I've been doing less of that lately.

Those are the perishables... for non-persihables, I always have to have some sort of nut butter, dried beans and rices of all kinds, canned tomatoes, canned tuna and anchovies, brown rice pasta, Panko, olive oil, soy sauce, sriacha, several different vinegars, ingredients to bake just about anything, and every spice imaginable.

    I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot...

chicken thighs, salmon patties, Whole Milk, eggs, pure olive or coconut oil, apples, tomato, garlic and onion, coffee-mate peppermint mocha creamer, a reduced fat cheese (cream cheese, mild cheddar, shredded mozzarella or feta), turnips, cauliflower, spinach and lemon juice.

The last thing I do is walk through the bread isle then the ice cream isle. If something suits my fancy that day I will take it if not no biggy :)

I look for lower calorie, high fiber and protein breads. So fare my fave has been Arnold healthful falx and fiber bread @ 80 cals /slice, 5g protein, 2g sugar. And for ice cream blue bunny no sugar added reduced fat butter pecan or bunny trails.
