    Didn't read all the responses, I use Chobani plain yogurt instead of Mayo.I LOVe that it doesn't have an aftertaste, I'm adding protein and I'm not wasting calories on Mayo.

    one wedge of laughing cow swiss cheese, a little spicy brown mustard and lemon juice to taste... i like it better than the mayo version now :)

    I use canola oil mayo but if you are trying to cut your overall fat/calories try mixing a little EVOO with a little horseradish mustard (or whatever flavor you prefer).

    I thought I was being original with the Laughing Cow wedge added to my tuna - until I searched the forum for no-mayo tuna recipes. The light Laughing Cow wedges are only 35 calories. I also tend to skip the bread with my tuna, and instead go for something like lettuce leaves or rye crackers.

    Greek yogurt is also a delicious idea I might have to try.

    ALSO - I always make sure to RINSE my tuna - it drastically cuts the sodium.

    Personally I would still use real mayo. You only need a tsp for 1 sandwich and what does that have 15-20 calories........could never figure out diet food or giving up on what makes food taste good to an individual........moderation my friend.

    I just use mayo. I try to get a pretty accurate eyeball measurement, log it, and make it fit in my daily calories.



    Because mayo is delicious.

    1 serving (tble spoon) of Hellman's light mayo ( 35 calories) with coriander (cilantro), chives and Valentina hot sauce! Yum Yum!

    Instead of mayo, use bbq sauce. Also, switch the tuna out for pulled pork. It's delicious!!

    I mix my tuna with some black pepper, vinegar and lemon juice to give it a bit of taste. :)

    Dijon Mustard and just a little bit of fat free kraft miracle whip. You can get away with under 1tbsp of miracle whip if you use a good blop of dijon.

    Also, do you work for general mills? I worked there for 5 years before I resigned. Wife still works there.

    I used to get tuna salads at Subway Monday through Friday, thinking I was making a good choice, until I was told by the workers at Subway that their tuna is the only thing they use real mayo in. They use their light mayo for everything else. Go figure.

    9 out of 10 times, Subway uses whichever bag of mayo the employee happens to grab that day (light or regular).
    Not saying that's how it should be, but that's how it is.

    Also, when you ask for Light Mayo, it's a 50/50 chance it's regular mayo. Again, whatever bag the employee happens to grab. They keep a sauce bucket with all the bags of sauce used to refill the squeeze bottles. If you're in a hurry, most people will just use whatever mayo is open.

    Also they rarely ever clean those sauce bottles.

    My Subway wasn't run that way, but I went to several other stores during my 'service' and ...well, that's just how it goes.

    Miracle whip and fat free mayo are disgusting...

    I add plenty of regular, yellow mustard and chopped hard boiled egg. A little bit of black pepper and low fat shredded cheese on top. I either warm it up alone in the bowl or add it to a slice of warm whole wheat toast. DELICIOUS!!! :happy:

    i use cholula. i like spicy stuff so it works great for me. cholula has no calories and no fat. tastes great too.

    I use a little bit of pickle juice to moisten up the tuna, then add sliced pickles and celery pieces. Stinkin' awesome!

    I hate mayo and Miracle Whip, so I have had to experiment. Spicy brown mustard, a little bit of mashed avocado, and some black pepper, and it's divine...AND you get some good fats from the avocado!

    I make it like a grilled cheese & tuna sandwich. Sometimes I add mayo and other times I don't. It's really good. :)

    I use Kraft mayo with oil. It's a lighter version and it's better than margarine or butter even for calories. I use it to make grilled cheese sandwiches (on the outside where you normally use butter).

    I LOVE tuna melt for lunch with soup, especially in the winter.
  • Canola Mayo or Olive oil Mayo in tuna makes it healthier. Its worked for me and i eat tuna fish by the can all the time
