Muscular or Skinny model look?

Personal preference, I like the thinner/leaner look on guys. Not scrawny, but not muscular. However, the only thing I really don't find attractive is guys with big necks and arms so big that they can't touch their hands to their sides when their arms are down without bending their arm! I've seen a good amount of guys at my gym (on a college campus) that seem to only focus on their arms and chest and it looks awkward, to me at least.
i agree... you have to have proper vision to look good and i have seen ALOT of ppl to go to the gym n say i want bigger arms so they do arms all week long lol then they look like gorillas... i dont have that problem though and i very easly notice imperfections or muscles that are slacking and i fix them...
cant tell if sarcasm haha
ookkkaay better not be lying to me!0 -
I think muscular is better, just as long as its not scary muscular.
Agreed! Skinny models seem too fragile!0 -
I like muscular. Chris Evans from Captain America looks pretty good I think.

Who cares what someone else prefers. I like the way I look and that's the only opinion that matters.
thumbs up brother! ur in effin beast mode lol im just trying to decide how big i want to be in the summer0 -
Muscular for sure, but no so big that it looks like a little guy is stuffed into and muscle man suit (you'll see this in the shoulder area). : )0

Anything to either extreme is not sexy.0

I like something in the middle.
But honestly it depends on the person underneath it all. Women aren't always as shallow or into looks as men can be at times.
now this effin pisses me off right here!!!! women arent shallow or into looks like men? LMFAO!!!! there were threads about 2 months ago... one was for "what women like in men" and "what men like in women" quess what the turn out was???? g
women: abs, money, job, muscles, lean, MONEY!!! practically nothing to do with attitude of a person or personality!! it was literally aestetic and status!!
men: funny, calm, not *****y, treats me with respect or atleast equal, is not uptight!!! practically everything was about personality of the girl and nothing on looks or status! only like 1-2 idiots said things like big tits etc but even the other guys mouthed them...
so pleaseee.. save that MYTH n BS!! ive met enough girls, heard enough stories and know enough that about 95% of girls are simply about aestetics, power, status and w/e will make them look better than the girl beside them!! so save it!!
I think it's time to let go of this assumption about either gender. It's such a generality either way, and is not at all representative of each member.
I've never once dated a guy who made more money than me, and I never end up dating my physical "type" of guy (like in the photos I posted) because I wind up falling for the guy, rather than his looks.
Just like money and power mean nothing to me, it's not fair to assume that all guys or girls are shallow and looking for any one thing. Everyone looks for something that they have, over time, come to realize on their own that they would want in a person.0 -
I think most younger girls prefer skinny w/ abs these days. Women closer to 30 prefer muscles.
^^^Obviously a huge generalization, but these are just my observations.0 -

there you go something his size but with better shaped chest... you have to remember lol for me to look like a juice monkey or a monster id have to hit 260+lbs because im 6'2... anything less than that i would look like im just a big man..
my friend is 6'0 267lbs lol monster! n he sais he loves it in the winter because nobody gets in his way lol people run around him and noone sais anything to him ever feels like a god lol thats one great thing about being that big... though i ask him how he sleeps? i could only see him being able to sleep on his back because if he sleeps on his side where will he put his 25inch arms?0 -
Muscles are hot. Especially biceps.
(and yep-I'm in my 30's)0 -
It's YOUR body, so don't let us tell you how you should look, lol! I prefer more muscular, just not super huge. It's all about definition, not necessarily muscle size, for me. Skinny male models make me want to gag, though...0
-
I like men that fall somewhere between the two. If you get too bulky, you'll look like a meat head. Too skinny, you'll look like you can't protect me. Just my opinion on what I like in a guy.
I agree.0 -

kind of what ive noticed too... its because of twilight bahaha edward skinny little basterd so they want anythign that looks like him... the problem with skinny cut look is........ 96% perfect of guys you see on "bodybuilding.com" or pics at other places everyone looks 100% the same.. looks like they just straved them selves until their cut and didnt workout to build up any muscle..0 -

Agreed! This is what I'd go ga-ga for0 -
Muscular and cut, lean over bulky. No thanks to a big body builder. I'd prefer slimmer and toned.0
-
Oh and I'm late 20's, and prefer in between, if it matters!0
-
I think huge and muscular is so unattractive.
These are my ideal body types on guys, although any more muscular than the first one, and it would be a bit too much.

(Zac at the end is nice, because he doesn't have a super chiseled six pack, but his abs are nice and tight and toned with little body fat on top of i)
No contest. I'd pick #1. Only I wouldn't mind if he had more meat on him. His waist makes him look too skinny. :happy:0 -
I like muscles and definition but not so much that you can't put your arms down  I prefer a man's thigh to look like a tree trunk not his neck haha :laugh:0

Ryan Goslings body.
Serious polls repeatedly show that average women choose the skinny pretty boy bodies over bodies of manly men (bodybuilders/spartans/Football players/etc)
Most men don't realize when they are aiming for an aesthetic physique, that it's actually the bros that are going to be most impressed.
With that said, Ryan Gosling is a tiny scrawny little f*** and I'd never want his body.0 -
I did the bulking and cutting phases over and over and over....I just like the "he looks athletic" in a tshirt look, then take the shirt off and show em the hard work0
-
To answer the original question, looks wise I prefer muscular men, not bothered if they are really defined with low bodyfat , as long as there is no beer belly, it's all good. If you can do cool things like lift heavy stuff (my shopping bags) it's even better0

Women do the same thing though. So many women want to be model-thin, but most men prefer curves and/or muscles.0 -

lmao spartans!!!!!!
yeah id never end up scrawny again lol0 -
Aesthetics and symmetry over size any day IMO.
V-taper waist line, jutting lats, prominent serratus, full shoulders, swollen arms, sculpted chest, developed quads and well separated gastros. That's where the money is made.0 -

^I would say this is somewhere in the middle no? Show me a "Skinny Guy" with all of these characteristics0 -
Seen Chris Hemsworth in Thor? That. But I'd definitely go for more muscular over skinny, and yes, I'm in my 30s.0

I think Daniel Craig has the body type that I find most attractive. Definitely not overly bulky and not anywhere near emo skinny.
