I'm in and very excited about the challenge since my main focus has been getting my arms RIGHT!

This will truly be a challenge, but I am in. I hope I get the support I need to stay motivated to do all 366, because once we get in the high numbers it will be a struggle. I hate push ups now, but loved them when I was a kid. Loved doing one arm push ups.

BTW, this is the BEST challenge I have seen thus far. Love it. My husband isn't on MFP but I'm going to get him to jump on board.

After hitting 40-50 plus push ups it would be best for the muscles involved to have a rest day....its a good challenge and push ups every other day are part of my routine but everyday isnt optimal good luck tho

I covered this earlier on in the thread. I suggested if you want rest days, you could just do the even or odd days.

  • Im in the same boat, i find myself pretty "strong" on upper body, but I cant do more than 1 or 2 regular pushups, i dont get it. How is it possible that adding the legs and toes in make it impossible haha

This sounds like a winner. How long it it going to take once you are doing 100+ pushups? I don't want to spend half the morning on the floor LOL.

Not that I have done more than that at a time in a long time (100), but 100 should probably take about 2-3 minutes once you get going and in shape, maybe up to 10 if you are still struggling? It's different for everyone, but I'd say if you got to the 366 mark, even doing them all at once shouldn't take more than 30-40min.

  • I'm in! I used to be able to do regular push-ups like nothing in high school but I'm not sure how many I can do now. Probably like 5. Definitely need this challenge to work on my arms. Plus the strength training to balance out all my cardio.

I might manage it for January, but I doubt I'll make it to my birthday, let alone the whole year.... but it'll be "fun" seeing where I fail....
