My family came to America before the revolutionary war (on all sides) from France, England, and Ireland. My paternal grandmother's mother's family was Cherokee. My paternal grandmother's father's family is lower French Royalty that got kicked out of England and France in the 1400's and settled in the New World as farmers. That family is directly descendant from Charlemagne and William the Conqueror which goes all the way back to Ptolemy (general to Alexander the Great). My paternal grandfather's family were poor irish famers (lineage stops in 1480's in Ireland - no records before then). My maternal grandmother's family is also Irish. My great great grandfathers on her side fought as captains on both sides of the civil war. Unfortunately, we know nothing about my maternal grandfather's family as his mother took all the family history with her to the grave. She refused to discuss it. There is some evidence that my great-grandmother was born out of wedlock, but we don't know to whom.

    Italian and Polish.
  • I've lived in New Jersey my entire life. On my Mom's side, I'm almost entirely Russian with a bit of German. On my Dad's, it's a combination between Russian, English, and Irish. My Mom's side came to America in 1921 and I'm not sure when my Dad's side immigrated.
  • I'm East Indian (punjabi), but technically i was born in Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. Going to visit my home country (India) in Jan! Sooooo excited!

Mostly Irish, Scottish, and English, with a bit of Cherokee and Seminole.

So, really fair and skin (Irish), long waist (I've been told this is the Scot in me), a love of hot tea and everything British (Muse, Adele, Dr. Who), big tatas and high cheekbones (thank you Native American great great grandmothers...)
  • Spanish/ Panamanian /German/ Nor ... maybe little bit of everything lol... these days no one is full anything.... well i guess you have that select few :)

I personally am from Indiana, my family on my dad's side is from Germany, way way back in the day.

My boyfriend, nstuartm12 on here, is also distantly German, and Native American!

Lithuanian, Scottish, Irish, English, German, Polish.... I'm a mutt ;)
  • I'm pretty much a mutt. My great grandma is pure Irish, but she married...german? I'm not sure, I'd have to ask my grandma. I think he might have had Native American in him. My mom definitely looks german, however my dad is blonde hair, green eyed.

I'm blonde with green eyes, fairly fair skin but I tan quickly and dark. I need to ask my grandma about what exactly I have in me, my issue is I have a lot of "step"-whatever in my family, and I don't know half of my biological family.

Contrary to popular belief, because apparently people assume that anyone with reddish hair and freckles must be Irish or Scottish or Dutch, I am not any of those things.
I am about as German as it's possible to get, but I don't look anything like Heidi Klum.
I do, however, look quite a bit like the members of the German women's Olympic bobsled team... at least that's what my foot-in-mouth hubby said.
Gotta love those sturdy German genes... or not.
